Nice rig! Last spring I picked up a 96 Jayco pop up for $3500. No heater but has AC, shower and cassette toilet. Canvas and vinyl in excellent shape. Home away from home.
Outstanding find. I like it a lot. Great escapes into the wilderness and enjoy bug outs. Crazy world out there and using this camper is a stress reliever.
Very nice man. Great video. Man that pop up brings back memories. My family and I grew up in pop ups. Use to take them to the beach for two weeks at a pop. Right on the beach lol. Those soft sides and can a beating with the ocean breeze. They will last if you take care of them! We had a palmetto pop up! I actually would love to get one now with my wife. I’m 38 now we really want one soon. By the way remember We did that trade for flashlights and I traded you my brous blade silent solider flipper !! That was awhile ago now lol.
Wow does this bring back so many memories. Our camper was set up the exact same way. I can see myself grabbing snacks from under the kitchen table seats !
Wow fantastic video good luck with the new camper looks to be a winner hopefully the heater just needed to be blown out of old propane. That was a hour seemed to be a lot less time. The stew chili looked really good was that the chain saw that you needed to get for the tree that hit your house? Glad to see that you are very safe and comfortable using it like champion hate to see some videos that are unsafe. Let us know how the heater worked out just in case it ever happens to us. Stay safe and see you on the next one Ben.
Nice to be able to eat your chili at your dinette and to have a real bed! We have a travel trailer but we just bought a Jayco popup to get into smaller rustic spots.
Concur. Like the idea to keep your camp set and the availability to use the truck. Could you extend the unit for a bathroom connection? How do you set the bathroom unit?
My favorite kind of camping. Solo, new equipment, “luxury “ of the popup. Nice drawer system in the bed. Question: why use “Dawn” instead of Dr. Bronners? Hope you put away the stabilize, before you left. I’ve made that mistake.
Curious to hear what your fuel economy and range are when you’re towing this when it’s laden with whatever supplies you plan to really have on hand. If this is your bug out plan, that matters. 👍
@@livingsurvival I’m not familiar with your truck. Is that a 20% reduction in fuel economy? So, your range on a full 21 gallons is about 330 miles give or take. Does that sound about right? I see roughly 23 mpg highway for your truck. That’s without weight. I’m assuming the weight you’ve got with a nearly full bed lowers that by 1-2 mpg (about 10%) and another 3-4 from the trailer. So, roughly 20% or so reduction in range. But, all of that may be thrown out the window because you’re using after market tires and wheels and mentioned something else about suspension that may be a lift. So, your fuel economy could be a bit different from the advertised 20 city and 23 highway even without the hundreds of pounds of gear in the back and also the camper plus the content within the camper. I’m curious about the impact of a trailer like this. I was thinking about getting one a few years ago. Thanks for the video. 👍
The new tanks have a safety valve. If you open the tank to fast and it causes a pressure bump it will close down to a very minimal flow. Need to close the tank valve again and open slowly might be your issue

Good video. Great bug out camper! Looks like you’re set up for what ever comes your way!
I have always enjoyed your videos brother! Helps me pass the time waiting on deer season. Awesome camping rig!

Nice ! Configuring my 30-foot travel trailer for long-term bugout.
I got a 30' RV now. Videos on that coming soon.
Oh yeah? When?@@livingsurvival

That is awesome!
That’s a clean find
Awesome setup …
Great video Ben! Really liked the new camper! Hope all is well! Thank you for the Awesome content!
Thanks Robert.
Great video !

I just LOVED this video!
Great video. More of this content. Such a cool set up man. Hope it was just the propane tank.
Pretty sure it’s just air in the line. I’ll bleed it using the stove
Nice camper! Looks like you’re all set to bug out!

Just a simple bucket toilet works. My daughter wouldn’t use the vault toilet at the last campground so we got a toilet and she used it just fine.

If dawn is good enough for animals it’s good enough for me.
Put a lift on pop up ! And camo it out then it would be cool and stealth
Thought about a lift and tires but not gonna spend anything on it.
love your cast iron pan, what size is it and brand? Chili looks pretty amazing!
How much weight can you have on the beds as it extends outward?
Not sure of the max.

Lose about 3-4mpg when towing it. It’s pretty light.

@@zero11010 about a 25% reduction.
NICE
Nice bug out setup. Assuming your laptop has HDMI, An HDMI cable between your laptop and your TV will get your laptop movies playing on your TV…
I've had 2 propane tanks fail in a row now. Tank valve won't send the gas through. I use older tanks with higher capicty now.

@@oldredcoonhound2182 I’ll try that.
@@oldredcoonhound2182 Tried that and more. Nothing.
@@oldredcoonhound2182 Exactly right. Need to open them slowly.
What about a bathroom
Have a portable toilet.
@@livingsurvival u didn't show that or you mentioned it
@@amandamiller94 it was in the storage under the bench seat.
