I'll be ordering a new hood from LMC truck soon because when I decide to install my sport grill the sport bracket would not let me reinstall the original screw's to hold the bracket on so I had to get creative with self tapping screws.
Hey man, where'd u get ur hood? I got 98 ram 1500 ext cab, laramie. It's 4x4, looks decent and it's got 33's, 33x12.5x15. Just some basic black steel, 15" rims. Anyway, truck's black & looks ok w the 33's but still tryin to do couple new things for better lookin truck! Ur hood looks good, IMO, it's not tooo much but is more than the stock one I got! Thx

Hey, quick note on your secondary latch, the down rod is indeed different sport to non-sport, the reason is the grille is taller on the sport.
You said you had some spare parts from the truck you got the other grille off of, any chance you grabbed the secondary latch when you got the other grille? The only thing that should be different would be the down rod.

Totally replicating this mod on my rusty 01 and I called lmc they said it’s the same part. I said send it anyway just in case. I asked if it’s the same part number they said yes. But I’d believe you over them.
Good video I just wanted put all new sport front end on mine n was having trouble with the latch rod was too short I'm going to try moving it thanks dude couldn't find anything out there
Great video, I picked up a '01 4X4 for $700 that needs a lot of work, but once I get the engine running right and get the interior done, then it's body work, paint, and then dress up like yours...

I have the same grille and have been tooling around for a few months with a stock bumper it looks horrible with out the proper bumper.
What parts for the 4th gen front bumper are needed. I know you need conversion brackets a front bumper but there is metal supports on the inside needed also . Do you know what they are?
Nice looking grill. Do they make one in that style that doesn't have the Ram Head badge location bump out?
I'd like to debadge my 98 Ram 1500 but don't want any hint of where the badges were.

Scanned Through LMC Truck for a while, looks like they offer a chrome variant of that grill. Is that the case or is it only offered in non-chrome? I cannot seem to find a definite "Chrome Sport" bumper anywhere. I just now learned that the Gen 4 bumper swap was an option and that the sport grill was that considerably different.

Man like the way its turning out bro you have given me some good tips I want to get me a tuffer looking hood wat is your hood called is it a cowl hood???? You know after your done with the paint job a great touch is the side steps the come down when you open the door MAAAAAN..THANKS

Sport grille looks nice but I liked all the chrome better just my opinion, but badass truck bro
looks good man! did you happen to try and mount the sport grill to the stock housing by any chance? I've seen other people talk about doing it and having a similar issue like you with the latch being too short since the sport grill hangs down a decent bit more. just trying to figure out of the housing is necessary or not, thanks!
no i did not, i just used the sport bracket
I have before. I know this comment is 5 years old but, my experience with it, wasn't very good. Yeah you can make it fit, but I had gaps in the top of my grille In between it and the grille. I couldn't figure out a way to fix it
Is the sport grill from a 1500 truck? and if so will it fit on a 2500 truck? Do you have a part number for the grill? Where did you get your bumper?
love the truck bro, looks great. keep up the videos. are those headlights the ones on ebay or amazon? people have been saying that they aren't that bright but I love the factory look they have. Could always try and find some wicked bright bulbs or something.
Chris Sensel yes from amazon but I'm running xenons in them so they are plenty bright enough. I blind people on the daily

love the bumper but still grill is basily the same and its just a plastic grill scuff the cheap fake crome up and paint it will last a long time done it many times
