Great shots. I’ve got some questions. Don’t you need your focus point to be on the bottom third for tack sharp photos? Couldn’t you have blurred the background on the second image? Again, I really appreciate how you breakdown your process. Thank you.
Thanks so much it depends on how close you are to the subject. As long as you are far enough away and nothing is really close to the front of your lens then sharp focus should not be an issue under normal circumstances. And yes I could have had a shallower depth of field on the second image to blur it out slightly but to be honest I would have much preferred fog to separate the tree from the background and eliminate all the distractions.
