    Great perspectives on our city. While the weather can be harsh at times, our homes and infrastructure are generally prepared for both extremes (hot and cold). I'm grateful we don't experience overly disruptive weather events such as hurricanes, mass flooding, mudslides, earthquakes, tsunamis.. etc. Keep up the great content. Subscribed!

    Saskatoon and as I have found- Saskatchewan, has a culture of helping one another. You can’t be stranded and not find someone to ask if they can help. The police are particularly friendly as well.

      Welcome Vanya! You'll love Saskatoon and the friendly people of Saskatchewan. People think that Saskatchewan is all wheat fields, but not too much further north of Saskatoon is all Boreal Forest. Millions of trees, and there are over 100,000 lakes & rivers in Saskatchewan.
      Prince Albert National Park is gorgeous. But if you like football, come down and visit Regina, home of CANADA'S TEAM, The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football league. They play at Mosaic Stadium, a State of the Art facility designed by the same architectural firm that designed the Stadiums in Seattle, Minnesota and the new one in Los Angeles!
      Saskatoon is located on the South Saskatchewan River, and is known as the "Paris of the Prairies" because of the numerous bridges. And it's a great place to be a University Student, young and vibrant!
      Hope you love it!✌🍒✌

      Ok dear. Thanks dear. I'll check. Marina, I hope I'm not asking for too much. Firstly, I'd like to be your friend cos you speak so politely and nicely too. Secondly, I'd like to have your phone number or email address so I can discuss my immigration goals with you and get some clarifications on what to do. I really hope you don't mind. Hope to get a response from you soon. From Feyi

    My interest in moving to Saskatchewan is dual: financial (highest seniors supplement of all provinces) and social (nice people, I lived and worked in St'oon in 1983 and liked the city - however rent is higher than Regina). Perhaps you will do a newcomers video for old folks. And remember, not all newcomers are foreign immigrants, many are domestic migrants. And not all of us have families. I welcome your insights as someone 'on the ground'

      Are there any important, major differences between Regina and Saskatoon? Everyone seems to lean towards Saskatoon which is perceived as more vibrant and youthful at heart when compared to the more sedate, listless and stodgy Regina.

      It is relatively safe. Some parts aren't, but there is always high police presence so it is bearable. Pre-covid, a lot of people are typically out on Saturday but not so much these days.

    Hey there, Me and my girlfriend wanna move to Saskatoon from Ohio USA, we're also expecting our son and we want the best for him. In order to survive and provide for our family, especially in our early twenties I wanna know is Saskatoon an affordable city? Are there great job opportunities? Those are the biggest questions for me.

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  4 года назад +3

      Hello, first congrats on your baby on the way, that must be really exciting. In my opinion, Saskatoon is a great place to raise a family and compared to other Canadian cities, I will say it is still affordable. Job opportunities will mainly depend on your background and the sector you are trying to get into but there are opportunities. Wish you all the best with the move.
