Loved the exchange between Wilson and House after the first scene on this clip. House: He's not a saint. He figures out what's going on in people's lives by watching, listening, deducing. Wilson: And you're worried about trademark infringement? One of the best lines in the entire series. Wilson will always be the funniest🤣🤣
yes and the fact that you have to devote your life to it is a bigger sign of abuse. what kind of loving god would create life just to force said life to love and worship it under the threat of eternal suffering
Lmao he thinks he can hide signs of the causes of his medical issues from House, but he let one slip about the water he was drinking and how frequently he drinks it.
it's supposedly called that because you have to much water occupying blood per gram of salt or something like that. So the re is low sodium in comparison to the water in your body
It's basically tonicity. Tonicity means that matter tries to even out the balance of certain materials. If there's too much water in your body, it dilutes the amount of sodium in the system. So your cells try to compensate by evening out the amount of water in them; so they start absorbing water until they're bloated. And the sodium becomes so thinly distributed that it can't function properly. Or at least that's what I think.
if there’s a lot of water and a lot of sodium, it evens out, but if there’s a lot more water than sodium, the ratio gets too low and it fucks with your body, to explain in lame man’s turns
Sodium is important because it helps draw water out of your cells and maintain an equilibrium. If you don't have enough salt in your body and you drink a ton of water, you can actually die. Too much water can be toxic. It's called hyponatremia. Your cells take on so much water (and with not enough salt in your body to draw water out of the cells) your cells start to burst. That's why long-distance runners have to be especially careful to eat or drink something with sodium so they don't drink too much water and accidentally kill themselves.
House is a great character to address religion because he can criticize it from a perspective that is flawed and biased enough that it isn't too hostile or polarizing.
Really? I would consider it hostile, more so than others. And his perspective isn’t flawed in any sense but just cold logic to see that religion is useless and harmful. The thing that makes him a great character for it is instead that he is indifferent. He doesn’t really care if they’re a threat to the progression modern world or they’ve caused and are causing genocides, he’s just having fun insulting them just like he does everyone else.
The last refuge of a man with no answers and no argument, they must’ve came from god. Everything, we can’t describe must’ve came from god. George Carlin.
Here is something for House to think on. There once was a woman that was injured and couldn't walk again. She became depressed beyond all reason and was prepared to end it all. Then came word of Jesus and his miracles. He came to her house and asked what did she wish. She said: "I want to bw happy again." Jesus healed her of her despair but stopped him before he could heal her legs. Apparently there was no need, though Jesus gave her the the peace, joy and confidence that to thrive even despite the condition of her legs. Even House said that people, even him, wound be fine even if they had no physical pain. Depression would still be present which is why people need to get to the root cause. Otherwise a new leg can't be enjoyed by the miserable. That's just my two cents.
1:16 and bamn, Believe it or not, I'm flying on air. I never thought I could feel so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer. who could it be? believe it or not, its the faith healers father!
I'm a Christian, I have never seen or heard anyone who talks to God directly like this kid, if it does happen it's usually in a sense of deja vu, or a song lyric, it something that is part of your personal interests, never has anyone received direct information from God like a quick text
I would've went with Wilson feels cheated and wants to be involved in events that you take part in. I wish there were more people that were in the middle. I hate it when people are definite about things that they don't know fully about.
Lori Wolfcat Not pickin sides. But. 1.Written by man 2. A whole crap ton of the stories aren't even close to making sense and are full of plot holes. 3. Its based on beliefs and considering different parts of Christianity support only certain parts of said book is a bit sketchy at best 4. There are different versions of said same storybook which just doesn't add up. Consistency is needed. 4.Beliefs can change easily. Too easily. If you got rid of every religious and scientific text ever the scientific ones would come back the same way saying the same thing. The religious ones wouldn't. Trust me i like to think this has a middle ground but one side has birthed scientists and doctors that save lives, the other has birthed climate change deniers, anti-vaxxers, and fundamentalism. Its not hard to see why secular societies exist.
Torn Tokoroa So, you base it off of opinion, not facts then? Archeologists proved the biblical events happened. And it's made by man? Ummm, The Big Bang Theory came from a human's mind. A priest to be exact. There's always gonna be different versions because people deny and believe what they want. Heck, Santa Clause is fake, but the basic idea of him came from real life. Heck, even some Muslims who believe in God, come to realize that what they believe in is false and Christianity is the truest religion. I'm a skeptic about my religion, but I already answered all of what atheists or nonbelievers questioned about God and found out some factual evidence. Is it enough for me to whole heartedly believe then? No. Because idiots still believe we all came from Adam and Eve when we didn't. (FIRST-SECOND PAGE OF THE BIBLE) And most, if not, all think that you 100% MUST believe in God, or you go with Satan. That just seems cruel to me. My God, doesn't do that. My God loves everyone unconditionally. Truly unconditionally. You don't need to necessarily believe in God to be accepted into Heaven. If anything, just be a good person. But religious people tend to over exaggerate conditions and rules. That's why people sometimes don't believe. Cuz it doesn't add up. Evolution doesn't add up. Supposedly we came from literally nothing. Then a fish, lizard, and other animals, then, humans. It's crazy. Yet, let's just say that I believe in evolution. Even tho it makes NO SENSE. Why wouldn't I also believe in God?? I don't hardcore believe in anything right now, except that we're on this earth, put here by some power we don't understand. But hey, if you wanna be a hardcore atheist, ok, but that's just odd to be hardcore anything really. Heck, and especially if you're an atheist without at least reading the Bible, That's what's pretty dumb. Even tho I doubt evolution, I still research. Do some bible reading and then have an opinion based on what You specifically went thru. Give a chance to every religion.
Lori Wolfcat i never said i was atheist. Just logical. Again i don't have a dog in this. I see both sides as stupid. I just feel if we fully embraced science then everything would be fine. Im just giving my two cents and a possible answer.. It was an inference
Torn Tokoroa Well, at least you aren't full atheist, but try to be open to learn more about stuff rather than dismissing it. It's actually very intriguing when you're open. You learn something you never thought of.
Lori Wolfcat I'd be inclined to believe you if i hadn't been apart of that stuff. I used to be. But I'm not any longer. Especially considering that none of the holidays, none of the stories, none of that actually improved anything for me. And one key thing is if there is a creator, why let your your creations suffer needlessly? Especially when then worship consistently. It doesn't make sense. Is there supposed to be a lesson in suffering in those who haven't hurt anyone? In those who do nothing but beg for things to get better but their requests to fall upon deaf ears? I won't go on but this reliance on "faith for everything" mind set doesn't work. It just doesn't. Because once that faith is challenged in the slightest all hell breaks loose. The Jerusalem issue has proven that. Having hope that things can get better is fine but it doesn't solve anything at the end of the day.
House: p a t i e n t Patient: house Patient: Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me? House: i can't beat the shit out of you (with facts and logic) without coming closer. Patient: Oh ho! Then come as close as you like!

Sheesh, just once I’d like to see a conversation between an atheist and a religious person on TV where the dialogue is written by an actual religious person. It’s not an argument if both sides are written by the same person. You can’t count it as an argumentative win if the winner and the loser have their lines written by the winner.
Katie Toast no way to win and no way to lose and I say this as a person who has seen and experienced countless paranormal and psychic events for the newage win or seen and experienced countless yet to be explained scientific philosophy that will one day be explained by scientific research atheist wins. that is why I am agnostic I do believe in a higher power but unlike the newage addiction fuck if I know what that is. It may be a creator and just as must a higher intelligence then human existence. No one wins. All that I have seen, I have so many questions but so little answers. Yes and no, you are right, and so are you. that is how humanity will move forward. Not through religious denial, and not through religious dedication. This unity of perspective will be our deliverance, or dedication to religion will be our destruction. Now move on and embrace your humanity and all that is human. Ryan Soloway true, but these don't really sound like honest responses loll like,, idk any Christians who act all pure and who blatantly ignore an atheist whenever their faith is shot down. I dont know is its the kid's acting skills or what, but this scene seemed so... _unnatural_ . The Typical Atheist making jabs at the boy and the Typical Christian acting all pure and innocent and keeping a good attitude.. Idk doesnt seem realistic to me. I would like to see an argument like this acted out but I want each part to be written by actual religious/nonreligious people. It always seems like whenever Christians write about an atheist, they make the atheist seem all rude, insulting, degrading. But then make the Christian all nice, friendly, encouraging and good natured. Then when an atheist writes the role of Christian it turns into the overdone mess you see in this video. Yeah, I'm sure there are Christians who are like this out there but like,,, there are also a lot of Christians who aren't, ya know?
perhaps my wise ancient soul, reincarnated countless times or just me being perceptive and articulate having been around many people with cultural background as an atheist, again, i will NOT state what is, what i am, or not, but simply explain that the views of individuals , although vulnerable to the influence of a larger group of other individuals, can not be absolute with a single view because perspective, is like a rock that falls to ground, staying in place only as long as the next force that moves it. when the rock has moved, a foundation that supports it will only support it until the next force moves the rock again. of course that rock may be destroyed but this does not not matter, because the world we know is made of earth. when you apply such deep thinking, you understand, religion vs science is science vs religion they are one and the same, and all and none. we do not know we really are or where we really come. although science has greatly advanced, it can not be denied that when it comes to the mysteries of life and existence, it is comical, absurd, pretentious, and naive, to believe that what we know is true or false, when all was here before false and true. the only way to win, is live your life with the risk that you could lose, make a bet, and deal with the results of your decision. what is your definition of win?
Jet MaX Honestly? I figure God just leaves us to our own devices and if we decide to gamble, sure why not? Whoever invented it was a clever bastard, so, perhaps he deserves to have his creation carry throughout the ages, I dunno.

I wish it never finished, but alas, all good things come to an end :(

I always thought this patient was low-key flirting with House. I mean, look at his expression 2:51
Never date a tourist when Mercury is in retrograde.

"You can't love somebody and not trust them" House it right, trust is earned. Love, Trust, and Respect.
Edit: The quote is from the kid, not House.
Wrong ..a parent can love there kids and not trust them one bit
@@dragon22214 Did you watch the video?
@@dragon22214 that’s a dang good point! I do have one retort though, parents will need to trust their kids as they grow up, they will need to respect their child’s privacy and decision making at times.
I love plenty of people that I don't trust. And they earned that distrust. But family is family and you usually love them whether you want to or not. Of course there are exceptions, family you don't trust OR love. But I'm not talking about those idiots.
@@mindyenglish5305 The quote is from the kid, not House. I agree.
I wish I was as good a cold reader as that kid.
Love the lighting and coloring subtleness
Loved the exchange between Wilson and House after the first scene on this clip.
House: He's not a saint. He figures out what's going on in people's lives by watching, listening, deducing.
Wilson: And you're worried about trademark infringement?
One of the best lines in the entire series. Wilson will always be the funniest🤣🤣
"i love you if you dont love me suffer forever" thats not love, thats abuse
yes and the fact that you have to devote your life to it is a bigger sign of abuse. what kind of loving god would create life just to force said life to love and worship it under the threat of eternal suffering
3:12 the biggest fact ever, not seeking social approval.
Don't forget, Eve was the supposed normal one who talked back to a snake in a tree. Adam was off away getting a tan.
Lmao he thinks he can hide signs of the causes of his medical issues from House, but he let one slip about the water he was drinking and how frequently he drinks it.

The nurses talk about you alot. Aah.. don't believe them, I keep a sock in my pants. Hahahah
So the kid was drinking too much water causing the low sodium levels?
it's supposedly called that because you have to much water occupying blood per gram of salt or something like that.
He had an std that is what shrunk the tumor in the other patient. House won they just left the rest out.
if there’s a lot of water and a lot of sodium, it evens out, but if there’s a lot more water than sodium, the ratio gets too low and it fucks with your body, to explain in lame man’s turns

3:27 God wants you to invite Wilson to a poker game ?? lol what kind of BS is that.
yeah, that was pretty cringey
Haven't watched the full episode huh?
“You’re gonna talk to a patient?” “God talks to him. It would be arrogant of me to assume I’m better than God.”
In the Neverending Battle between House vs. God,bet on the House every time.
It doesn't feel hostile or polarizing because it doesn't feel different any more than House doing the same to any other person.
The last refuge of a man with no answers and no argument, they must’ve came from god. Everything, we can’t describe must’ve came from god.
George Carlin.
That but unironically and Carlin is dead and buried
I'd have thought he'd be more concerned about a Terminator turning up.
Aw, I wanted to see when Wilson talked about humility 🥺
Here is something for House to think on.
There once was a woman that was injured and couldn't walk again. She became depressed beyond all reason and was prepared to end it all. Then came word of Jesus and his miracles. He came to her house and asked what did she wish. She said: "I want to bw happy again."
Jesus healed her of her despair but stopped him before he could heal her legs.
Netflix please but house back on your list. One of my favorite shows of all time.
The way this video is edited is genius lol
1:16 and bamn, Believe it or not, I'm flying on air. I never thought I could feel so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer. who could it be? believe it or not, its the faith healers father!

Same lol
I'm a Christian, I have never seen or heard anyone who talks to God directly like this kid, if it does happen it's usually in a sense of deja vu, or a song lyric, it something that is part of your personal interests, never has anyone received direct information from God like a quick text
It is easy to be against something that does not exist.
it's easier to acknowledge you can't know whether or not something unfalsifiable exists/doesn't exists

i love the last part, house is sooooo confused like, how did he know about my poker game....WTF????
"Can't trust someone in a closet".

I would've went with Wilson feels cheated and wants to be involved in events that you take part in.
I wish there were more people that were in the middle. I hate it when people are definite about things that they don't know fully about.
Lori Wolfcat Not pickin sides.
But.
1.Written by man
2. A whole crap ton of the stories aren't even close to making sense and are full of plot holes.
3. Its based on beliefs and considering different parts of Christianity support only certain parts of said book is a bit sketchy at best
House: p a t i e n t

House: i can't beat the shit out of you (with facts and logic) without coming closer.

The last line wasn't impressive when he said earlier in the video/episode that the nurses talk about him.
He didn't find out from the nurses _or_ God. He had another source.

House invited Wilson to the poker game
Have an ice cream sundae or what ever you enjoy eating! I myself love ice cream, you may hate it but we can still sit down at the same table and discuss the weather. Let's discuss the weather ;)

Ryan Soloway wait *what*

Ok seriously. Who else thinks House inspired Rick from Rick and Morty. It cannot be just me. The parallels between their characters are just too much for coincidence.
every sarcastic genius has this personality. Sherlock Holmes was probably the earliest one. original Sherlock from books. and House is based on Sherlock, like pretty much every detective story with a clever lead.
and Rick is more likely a lot like on of his creators.

I believe that House vs God is far more a House wants to be 100% sure his patient will live. The healer might heal them but how does he know their truly healed and this isn't a placebo.
I don't get it. Why does House look so surprised at him saying "God wants you to invite Dr. Wilson to your poker game." Wilson could have talked to him or others about House not inviting him to the poker game.
Well it’s still surprising at first.
Why would it be? Again, the patient could have heard from any number of people talking about Wilson not being invided to the poker game.
