- Can you slay the dragon?
While this dragon doesn’t breathe fire, it’s still a legendary creature that has been instilling joy (and fear) into its passengers for decades. Unrelenting speed and loops are just some of this coaster's tricks. Riders are securely buckled in, then sit back and enjoy the climb up 78 feet (23.77M) to its peak, where they travel at speeds of 50 kilometers per hour down the hill and through 4 inversions including 2 loops, a corkscrew and a helix. This action-packed roller coaster is a family favourite. Many people have experienced their first roller coaster loops on this beast, and many more will continue to do so for years to come.
I had never been on a looping coaster and choose this as my first one. There was no line so we ended up on it 3 times. As someone scared of height I kept my eyes open the whole time and I had a blast. 100000% recommended.
Exact same with me
I went on this about 3 years ago and it destroyed my neck
same -- good times !!!!!
I’m scared of loops should I go on this one?
@@quitted590 I really enjoyed it. If you sit near the back you feel the loop, if you sit near the front you feel the pressure so I like to sit in the middle closer to the front :)
Yay here it is! Dragon Fyre seems pretty fun. Now if only Kings Island would actually make a Vortex POV...
my dad lost his glasses here lmfao
I'm sitting on a rock on this
The highest point on this coaster is the same height as Leviathan’s brake run!
well technically the highest point on 90% of rides is the break run because the top of the chairlift is a break run
Whats a brake Run😭
@@emelyncerda3061 it’s a spot meant to slow down the roller coaster when the ride is almost over
@@TheTestamentofTez not necessarily
@@TheTestamentofTez those are usually used by trim brakes
I went there yesterday, my mom said there were no loops until I saw it for my self the hard way lmao
Lol that’s literally exactly the same thing that happened to my friend before
I love how Leviathan’s brake run is as tall as this.
It's taller! Lol..
Eccentric Gamer it’s the two inch drop
Leviathan is taller
Yeah lol
Ikr
This was the first roller coaster where I kept my hand in the air the whole time
You can't keep your arms up on dragonfyre
First “real” roller coaster I ever rode. Still just as good 10 years later.
This coaster is as old as I am
This ride is extremely underrated, those 2 loops and the drop are amazing, especially in the back.
Finally someone gets it
I remember sitting in this thinking I was gonna die
That is true but you bang your head a lot
@@LolbeeSFM lies
@@LolbeeSFM no I'm not saying lies to that I said lies because you said that if the coaster doesn't have head banging then something is wrong and besides dragon fire is the smoothest coaster
FACT: Dragon Fyre is the only Arrow Looper to have corkscrews that turn to the left. Also it’s nice they turned it back to Fyre and not the generic Fire they had for decades.
I wish they never tear this thing down because then we won’t have an Arrow custom looper that has a counter-clockwise corkscrew
It's not the only one to be built with counter-clockwise corkscrews. Drachen Fire also had them during the years when it operated.
Another fun fact is they built this ride with 3 trains, however they later realized they could only ever run 2 at a time, so the third was and still is used on the bat
@@----5247 I thought it was Leviathan
This was my first coaster with loops and my first coaster where I didn’t close my eyes on the drop😂
It was also my first looping coaster
Wilko Weers_861 omg same this was my first looping coaster and I got so scared now I’m riding leviathan sleeping
It was also my first coaster that goes upside down
Mine to! And I used to black out on the 2nd loop.
Wilko Weers_861 this will hope fully be my first with a loop
This feels so weird to watch, I swear this is the only ever time I have seen an Arrow Corkscrew coaster with the corkscrews going to the left... every other one has them going to the right and it's giving me an existensial crisis
I just went to canadas wonderland today and this was the rollercoaster I rode, and also the first I've ever rode. I loved it. I went on it like 4 times.
This was also the first one I rode
After that I rode leviathan 💀
This ride got me over my fear of looping coasters. It’s a short ride with a short line. I rode it 6 times in a row! So much fun.
I find this ride super fun especially in the back. I found this ride really smooth in the back surprisingly and even in the front. It may be a bit jerky but it isn't as rough as others like it :) One of the better Arrow Dynamics custom loopers out there
My most recent ride on dragon fyre was in the middle and its was rough after the first 2 loops due to bad arrow transisions
@@d-town7499 Yeah it does have that Arrow roughness but that's to be expected in that era of roller coasters. All steel coasters were hand bent at that time.
Dragon fyre lmao.. it’s concussion fyre
Not for me
came off with a headache :(
This was the first “big” roller coaster ive been in and it scared me a lot but it was pretty fun with all the loops ngl
This is weird I just went on dragon fyre yesterday for the first time...
BaconBHawks is it bad?
Oh gosh no it was very fun
The drop isn’t even scary
BaconBHawks what about the loops
Great ride, ears hurt for about a week after 1:06
It is torture at 1:06
@@jacobr05 Nah you gotta push your head against one side of the restraints and your good.
i wore dangle earrings, huge mistake
Fun fact, I’m here while watching this
tip: dont wear dangle earrings/hoops on this ride
This ride is the Best to start the Day because its smooth and it isn't scary at all
Watching this makes me miss canadas wonderland even more
I started riding this ride since I was 9 and I love it! This was also my first roller coaster with loops and flips. I definitely recommend this ride!
Is it good for me? Im scared of drops but I wanna get over my fear? Is this a scary ride?
It might be a bit scary the first few times, but overall it's a great ride! Its not tall at all (compared to leviathan and other roller coasters) and it only flips over like 3-4 times. It's a good starter ride if you want to face your fear of roller coaster/hights/drops! :)
This was my first actual coaster, I was all afraid, never went on a trilling ride. Went on this, had the time of my life, was an empty day, I went on this would my cousins at least 12-13 times in a row.
since 1985 Dragon fyre is my first and last coaster when I got o Wonderland. I love this ride it was my first looping coaster I ever did.
This is the first upside down roller coaster I ever went on, and my Dad said if we were gonna do it, we were going big and sat me right there in front.
For me, this rollercoaster is a 5/5. I used to be very scared of rollercoasters but when I went to wonderland near the end of May I walked right in here. It was scary going up at first, because that’s pretty normal with rollercoasters. One con is that during the loops, my head flew forwards because I had forgot to put my head back, and the next day my neck was a little sore, but I’m not gonna blame that on the rollercoaster because it was kinda my fault. Over all, this was one of the best rollercoaster experiences I have ever had, and in the end I ended up really enjoying this. It’s now my go-to coaster at wonderland.
When I went to Canadas wonderland absolute scared of rollercoasters my sister and my dad were going on here (I was actually scared lol) I went on it and it was super fun later that day I went on it again, the funnest part is keeping your eyes open
It's always my first choice when going to the park, line is always 5 minutes tops.
Leviathans brake run is bigger than dragon fyres drop hill
It’s so cool to see it!
Fun Fact: there’s a mirrored version of this coaster named Big Loop in Heide Park, Germany :)
First looper I ever went on in the summer of 91. This coaster will always hold a special place for me.
1. Patrick and SpongeBob are in dragon fyre roller coaster
2. Patrick and SpongeBob are cheering
3. It’s not scary
I’m going on this ride with my friends tomorrow!
I remember as a young teenager my dad took me here with my step sisters, all 5 of us. There was some event happening at the nearby pirate ship in a pond, and it was late at night before close. IIRC there was a fireworks even planned. Well myself and the 2 oldest all left to go ride this as it was basically right beside where we were standing and had nobody there. The guy running it let us take the front 3 seats and just kept it going until some other kids noticed, there was like 10 of us going around non stop the entire fireworks duration, like 10 minutes straight. Eventually after the fireworks ended people started coming up the line again so we had to get off haha, great memories. the park closed like an hour later and I remember passing out in the car ride home just grinning from ear to ear.
Does this coaster have the weird stomach feeling? I like rollercoasters but I’m always haunted by that feeling
Only for like 1 sec at the drop part
This may sound controversial but this is my favourite coaster
I completely disagree with you but I still respect your opinion.
Same
I rather Enjoyed this Ride on Victoria Day in 2019. It's a classic but a fun one as long as they take good care of this very Special ride. I had my eyes open for the last 2 corkscrew loops and it looked neat and different.
Cool fact: This ride use to have three trains. That's why there is that brake run after the corkscrews. The third train was used for the Bat.
This ride is head bashing at its finest 🤕
This was my first real roller coster , and i was screaming for help the entire time, because the loops felt so wierd!
my mom used to go on this when she was a kid with her friends. she said she’s disappointed u see the Leviathan as you’re going up. 😂
Love this ride its so fun the loops are amazing too
I love how this was the first coaster for so many people. It was my first true coaster, and I've loved them since.
When you reach the top you're just staring straight at leviathan's brake run.
omg I did this to day and. ow I'm traumatized
Hi
Hi!
I have the gold pass to Canada’s wonderland
This rollercoaster is amazing!Actually,it’s the first rollercoaster that I’ve been on that has loops!I used to be so scared of the loops, but after I rode this ride,WOW,I had no fear of loops after that
My first ever looping coaster
Someone help convince me to go on leviathan lol
I really wanna do it
I did it
My second rollercoaster ever, I did it yesterday and my friend was screaming F*CK F*CK F*CK the whole time lollll, we did it again in the front and it was AWESOME i loved how much the intensity increased
Fun Fact: It's the mirrored version of Big Loop at Heide-Park (germany)
I've been on leviathan and the other big coasters but im scared to go on this one cause it goes upside down
Ahh yes my first ever roller coaster
I used to like this ride when I was younger now its boring to me but it's a nice coaster for the younger ones
You think dragon fire is a kiddie ride just because it's small next to Leviathan
I went to Canadas wonderland yesterday and i went on this one it was kind of scary but when it went upside side down i closed my eyes
I felt sick after this ride idk why
Canyon Blaster at Adventuredome in Las Vegas looks extremely similar to this
Would have liked it if the restraints didnt hook you in the face during every horrible transition
Canada's wonderland I have a question can you guys build a hybrid ????
Classic arrow loopers. Gotta love em
This is the first ride I went on in the park. I broke my neck after this
This was my first roller coaster ever my dad said that there was no loops and he lied I still had fun though
My first big kid coaster. Rode it opening year for first time.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH
I love that 80% of the comments are "This was my first roller coaster!" It was mine too! 30 years ago.
Same here lol.. prob early 90s
Dragon fyre: 8/10. Amazing ride. Lots of inversions but the only thing keeping it from a 9/10 is the constant head banging
The twin coaster stands in Heide Park, Germany
This was my first ever roller coaster at wonderland and my first ever roller coaster in general. I came here only two days after moving from Jamaica to Canada last year
Levi and dragonfire are in the perfect spot😀😀😀
I love canada wonderland its pretty close to me so I gok at least 3 times a year
Neat. One of my fav rides.
oh god i remember having neck and back pains after riding this lol
Julia wait rlly
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I love that ride
This was my first ride here, I only did it cause my dad made me do it. I went on it cause my dad said it was fine, and that was my first roller coaster drop ever 😊
so when are you going on leviathan
I also was in the front so yes it does look like this
Dragon fire is so underrated
Hi
Hi!
HUH? i didn't think this coaster was still open and operating?
I’m Muslim and I’m proud !!!
At least it's better then drachen fire.
I got a concussion on this ride when I was 9
To think, this could very well have been the tallest ride at the park at one point.........now it's as tall as Leviathan's break run. Way to one up this ride Leviathan.XD
i was really scared when i tried this, it turned out to be 100000000% fun! the loops are very nice. ❤️
I remembered when I first rode it... had the worst brain damage of my life lol.
And oldie but a goodie🫶🏻
I'm scared of this, can anyone tell me how bad it is
I'm scared of roller coasters too, but this one was quite good! Be warned the end is quite bumpy, but nothing too bad
#headbasher
Dragon fyre has a font, why don't you use it, so annoying
as someone terrified of loops i finally had the courage to go on tonight (its haunt so no lines) and this was def a good intro to loops. First time i had my eyes closed, immediately went back and kept them open
This ride hurts my neck
im better then you at fortnite
The first time I came to wonderland, I rode this and my head was always down and I never opened my eyes. Then on the 2nd time, my head was not down and I opened my eyes a few times. On the 3rd time, I opened my eyes completely and my head never went down, but let me tell you, your head always hits somewhere, so you are in a water. It's like you're here and you may have a headache, my positive comment is that it's really fun and exciting, I really liked it.
Does this coaster need the comfortable restraints found on the Blue Hawk at Six Flags Over Georgia, or is it fine just the way it is?
It's a head banger.. it could definitely use newer better designed restraints.. or even better than that.. rip it out and put something better In.. lol
It’s the old school ones. But this coaster is even older than Blue Hawk. But I find it a fun ride if you keep your head back.
Honestly, I ride this one first every time I go to wonderland. It's as smooth as it's ever been and I've never had head banging on it, it's a great ride I'd honestly be sad if they removed it
Nice to see this Vekoma coaster turns to the left. We have since 1981 a simular coaster (recently rebuild) in the Efteling in Holland, called the Python. Almost the same, only it goes to the right.
Also was my first ever coaster i've been on, still love it today
Dragon Fyre is one of my favourite roller coasters at Canada's wonderland.
My first " big" coaster when I was a kid, followed by vortex. Never looked back
First time i went on this I was so tense then after the double corkscrew I was so hype, I thought it was over then i let go to stretch for some reason. AND THEN IT DROPPED AND I STARTED SCREAMING. My friend started dying laughing. One of my best memories on a ride.
