My 2015 Skoda Octavia Estate has front assist, lane assist, and adaptive cruise control. I love these features. When I drive on the highway, I'll always try to find another 'intelligent' car and stay behind it at a fixed and non-stressing distance. Staying behind 'intelligent' cars or having intelligent cars behind you is always ideal in my opinion.
Had an early version of that on a 2015 Fabia - it was a really great system - swore I'd never have a car without it again. Great that they all have it now.
It's great that legislation works this in for new cars, it leaves much wanting when +10 year old existing vehicles (with ABS and an onboard computers) on the road couldn't be given safety or emissions upgrades. Circular economy and all that.
Never minded the system in my Octavia until the day that moron in front of me was standing with both feet on the brakes just because he missed an entrance to a parking lot....
@@CompletecarIe We did together, but before I even slammed on the brakes it was already on full brake force. It happened in the city, at about 50 km/h. There was about half a meter left at the end.

There's isn't an OEM that would allow their systems to be upgraded by a third party.
an you select to switch off just the auto swerve on skoda superb models?
I had an accident, the hit was in the back and I needed a new bomber. Blindspot sensor is not working anymore. What happened?
We suggest contacting the garage that did the repairs on it.
I have a 2022 Karoq and my front assist seems to have stopped working. I get no alerts, no preemptive braking. It is set to early on the menu.
We’d suggest you contact your local Škoda dealer and arrange for it to get checked out by the service department.
the fact that they used real cars is brave
Thanks for watching
Yeah, couldve been an interesting conversion with the insurance firm had it not worked
What if there is a Robbery attempt or the car is stuck on a railway crossing and there is some vehicle in front of you
You can switch it off in 2 seconds.
Reverse?

And did the system in your car stop you in time?

@@haraldhechler3557 Happy to hear that
Hello all....now go and look for mk4 octavia assist problems.....there is no fix for the errors
Do you have one?
That auto swerve could make things a whole lot worse
Or could save you
@@CompletecarIe
Or both; I just wonder what safeguards there are to stop the vehicle just swerving into a different 'hazard'.
