I remember playing some of the early cabelas games on ps2 and thinking "wow this is so cool, I feel like I'm actually hunting."

This makes me hope that someday there will be a Jurassic Park open-world hunting game like Monster Hunter nut with gorgeous detail like GTA V or Red Dead Redemption. And it will be even more cooler if we can also managa/help build the real Jurassic Park in-game.

well there is a new jurassic park movie coming out in 2015. So who knows maybe there will be a game as well
They need to bring back the old hunting games. The ones where you tag an animal, spend like 30 minutes looking for it, maybe a random bear attack, wounding the animal, tracking it, etc. This is a psycho poaching simulator, a little entertaining though.
It's not always like that. Sometime you have to hide in grass without animals seeing you.
Do you NEED the gun for this game or can you just use the PS3 controller?

You say um a lot, no disrespect, just a tip. When I did videos I got a lot of complaints about the same thing, wasn't hard to get rid of that habit when you dont even realize it.
As for the game the only Cabela game I played was an early deer hunter and I actually liked it and was looking into trying this one but it doesn't look appealing.

@@TravisVerseYou Yep. I found that out by exiting to the main menu. I hate how there is no save option in your options menu.

Actually,i've played it on the PS3,and it's more like hunting down the "big 5",the alphas of 5 animal packs which have been attacking villages. Also in each one's cave is a statue piece,which you try to find to complete an ancient statue to return it to the village,which i assume was destroyed in one of the attacks (the story doesn't mention how it was broken). So it's more than just a rampage,it's actually got SOME plot to it,unlike most hunting games.
Killing animals?? horrible game
...and the bullet time doesn't make it better.
