My dad, who is in the songwriters Hall of Fame, told me in the 60s that you can’t make music with a synthesizer (think Moog). 98% of most Push performances I’ve heard confirm what he said… and then you came along. He also said, “You have to practice long and hard to discover you have no talent.“ You probably had to study until you were about five to rule that possibility out. I’ve been playing jazz guitar for 55 years… you’ve inspired me. Congratulations! You’re going places kid.(My father wrote for Sinatra and others your grandparents loved.) I play a nylon string (Carvin NS1), through an AER Compaq 60 and GR-55… got my eyes on the Push2. Bless you... Rick
Rick dude thank u so much I didn't see this till now -- your words mean more than you know! Feel free to drop me a line and ask anything about the tech stuff or music or whatever, anytime! zkramer22@gmail.com Peace man🤘🤘🤘
Those who disliked this video should be forbidden to listen to music or watch a movie, for the rest of their miserable lives... This is so freakin' good man! It has been a while, since i dropped my jaw like that. Wish you all the best!! 🙏
This is the exact sort of thing I'm trying to set up myself. Complete, bottom-up performances with one person. I'm really grateful that you used a screencap; being able to see what you were doing was super-helpful, and it's been really difficult to find someone to learn from. Thank you. The song was great too, I love those looped harmonies, and you can't go wrong with some decent percussion.
I'm always amazed how people don't mess it up with triggering the right clips and scenes in Ableton Live. The playing is awesome and as a "traditional" band musician performing on stage on multiple instruments, I can relate to it. But you absolutely aced the whole perfomance with the arrangement and everything. Really nice work, keep it up!
Simply amazing..!! This is by far the best (ableton) live - Performance I ´ve seen on youtube so far, and believe me - I´ve seen a lot..!!! Music and singing is perfect, and also that you cut in the ableton screen parts in the Video makes it even more interesting to watch! Congratulations!!!
I like the way you pushed your obvious technological compretence into the background and delivered great vocals, bouncy percussion , intricate electric piano and tasty analogue brushes . A timeless classic jazzy feel. Good job. Great sound. Warm. Loved it.
Hier wird neue Musikproduktion auf sehr professionelle Weise eindrucksvoll demonstriert! Ich bin begeistert und wünsche mir noch viel mehr Aktivitäten in dieser Richtung ... sehr, sehr schön!!!
This song is the best thing happened on this day for me .... It's was like a hope anthem, like "get up, work and all will be fine" thanks a lot my friend.. you saved me
Wow, that’s awesome. Great composition, performance, and killer vocals. Looks like you really enjoyed jamming away on the push pad during the solo. Thanks for including the session screen as it is very instructional and informative.
Some of the best looping I've ever seen, besides Howie Day. Usually you have to wait at the beginning while people setup their looping, but he's very smooth. And he seemed to pull that Push solo out of his ass.
This song is underrated to me. True work of art in its rarest form. It sounds like a song that could be in a game or something cinematic. It's an entire experience. Truly amazing.
Oh man! This was super fun to watch! Especially more so with you showing everything you're doing because I am also trying to get into this type of performance setup., Thanks!
Love the live Push playing (on fully chromatic, too!) at 4:33. It's fine and great pushing the buttons to trigger recording and playback, but the live playing of the Push like that really impressed me beyond anything else.
You have so much talent and passion! Amazing work! Your channel seems not active anymore. Is there other places in the internet, where we can listen to your music?
I'd rather recommend buying an Akai APC and a Midi Keyboard. The ableton push is pretty nice for production but I personally think that the ableton push is just not that nice for live performances. It may sound weird but I think you can do too much with it so it becomes unclear and confusing.
Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed watching the possibilities of your hybrid live/electronic setup come alive. Inspiring it is to all of us, with what you have done to show us your musical gift.
I think you're on the cusp of the future of live performance good sir. Quarantine is shifting the industry this way and you have a killer head start. Good things are on the horizon for you, methinks
The ability to do this on a stage requires virtuosity. A modern type of virtuosity, where you're not only practicing your instruments, but practicing the technology and allowing it to work for you. As technology pushes music to new limits, people who study this craft and master it, as you have, are modern virtuosos. Currently building a similar type of show myself with an electric/MIDI violin. I know how HARD doing this stuff is. As I continue to work on it and get inspired by others ideas, I should let you know, that this video could be my portal to a new world ;)
I keep coming back to this song every year or so. Still loving it! Are you planning on making more videos or are you producing songs on another channel?
Indy Skywalker that will eventually happen!! Haha i am going back to school for a semester and then will be able to finish this along with other songs for real :)
Catchy! Beats what you expecting... what you expecting...beats I know someone who works for a company called Portal, could hook you up, could be used as a theme tune, they could pay, & could be a real opportunity, could open doors, could be a portal into a new world... 😎
Can you do a tutorial about your ableton setup?
For real; I would just love to know what his vocal chain is

Peace man🤘🤘🤘
Rick and btw man that guitar setup you described sounds way rad. Make some loops in Ableton with that thing, magic will happen for sure
Criminally Underrated. Pure talent and polished skill. Well done man. If I were a major label you woulda been signed 3 years ago.
Seven years later and i keep coming back to listen to this masterpiece. Love from Brazil! 🟢🟡
também volto para ouvir esta obra
Same here! ✌
Probably my favourite Ableton Live performance on RUclips!
Those who disliked this video should be forbidden to listen to music or watch a movie, for the rest of their miserable lives... This is so freakin' good man! It has been a while, since i dropped my jaw like that. Wish you all the best!! 🙏

@@yokrammusic you are friggin awesome.

Oh my god, this is a simply phenomenal performance!

A perfect combination of everything around. And the musician, too ..
I'll take this as an example to send to someone to show how I like live looping done. Also, I really liked the vocals.

I'm so happy to hear that Nate, you're very welcome :) you deserve to have a great week; go out there and get it!!
This is a masterpiece. Great composition and infinitely rewatchable. Well done!!!

You didn't nail it...You slayed it! Wish I could do just a third of that. Congrats I know you worked hard but you have a God given talent. God bless.
This video is a real portal to the world of good music. Congratulations ! This is another level for shure !
You make it look so easy but I know this takes A LOT of prep work and practice to get right.
This song is underrated to me. True work of art in its rarest form. It sounds like a song that could be in a game or something cinematic. It's an entire experience. Truly amazing.
Feeling this song , great talent 👍
This sounds very much like Air, great chilled summery sounds. Brilliant.
Amazing live performance.
RUclips recommend it after 2+ years.
Oh man! This was super fun to watch! Especially more so with you showing everything you're doing because I am also trying to get into this type of performance setup., Thanks!
This is awesome!! Your voice is insanely good, perfect pitch and i love your tone. More people need to hear this

Great. Just great. You have a ton of talent.
Please, you NEED to be in Spotify. Greetings from Brazil!
There's a simplicity in your style. And, I couldn't move on.
Gotta pop this jam back on blast every now and then... The funk is too real!
You have so much talent and passion! Amazing work! Your channel seems not active anymore. Is there other places in the internet, where we can listen to your music?
Wonderful performance of a fantastic song. Proper use of Ableton sir!
wow, very very nice! if you make a Single or Album i will buy it!
Dam good! You owned that track like you own that living room😆
I didn’t expect this to be so good
Lol thank u 🙏
Really awesome track. You're the epitome of where music should go.
This track took me through a portal! #dope
Great looping performance. You are awesome. Thanks for posting this video. Great song and soundtrack. Thumb UP!
Damn - that's sick! It's time to save some money to buy that controller. Unluckily they don't give a 'skill' package with that lol :D

Thanks for the beautiful song and inspiration. :)
Dude! This is just perfect.
Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed watching the possibilities of your hybrid live/electronic setup come alive. Inspiring it is to all of us, with what you have done to show us your musical gift.
This is amazing! What a voice man 😄
very good...and ONE take!! I like the open studio arrangement, mixing digital equipment and traditional instruments...harmonizing was also good.
How do you harmonize so many voices? Multiple pre recorded voice tracks in Abelton? So creamy smooth and right on cue!
Awesome.. I'm sitting here painting to the 🎶 keep it up brother, one of my go to songs right now
Thnk u! U just inspired me to one day do something as cool as this ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
This dude is living the best during this performance after so many tries.
omg....so good future goals. : )
zkramz - you did this in 2017! In our times that is ages ago. You were years ahead of your times. Make sure you leverage that pioneer advantage!
Please upload this song to amazon music and spotify so we can support you!

Itay Shapira it was a variety of drums from I believe the Acoustified Kits from Ableton pack
Very impressive use of Ableton Live and Push- I enjoyed the video
nice man
Holy crap! That's amazing. Perfectly performed and mixed in real time with no mistakes (other than the ones only you know about)!
