    I had hardware Distressors on hand during my work with live broadcasts. What a great piece of gear. I would make use of it a lot.

      Sure, I'm trying to do more videos but as a working Producer/Mixer/Mastering engineer, I haven't found the right balance of married life, and studio work. LOL

    Very few seem to know the final 1176, the LN rev H, is the very best of all. UREI knew it. Every advancement they ever found was put into the LN rev H. I have 6 hardware channels that are going up for sale. Plugins are doing a better job, in my opinion.

    Is the dbx 160 still worth it in 2023 ?

    • @PlugMEin
      @PlugMEin  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, I think so. It's the best dbx160 out right now in my opinion. I hope that helps. I think UA released it as a Native plugin as well. So you can make the GUI size bigger which was needed.

    What's wrong with the bx transient designer.

    • @PlugMEin

      They are definitely NOT the same. The UAD has more punch and is more solid. I have the bx (Both of them. The regular emulation and the plus). I notice that the UA versions are very detailed. They model everything from the rooter to the tooter...LOL, I've done a lot of A/B tests between them as well.

      @@PlugMEin did you compare them to the hardware or do you just like the sound of the uad because there's more saturation.

      @@aviatedviewssound4798 So, I haven't used the hardware in so long that I couldn't tell you how close it is to the hardware. We are talking early 2000's when it was really popular. I will say that when A/Bing them both, the UAD had a better snap and held together the integrity of the audio better than the PA version. Seemed the PA version was good but was as snapping and thinned out the audio if that makes since. I felt the audio remained more in tact with the UA version. I think it's cool the PA version has a limiter but that still didn't help against the UA version. Ya gotta try it out man. It's worth it. I own all of these types of plugins ala Softubes, NI, Waves and a few others. UA stands out. Maybe I'll do a video on it if people want to see it. Thanks, Marc

      @@PlugMEin I just analyzed the two plugins and i can see why you like the UA, the ua introduces more saturation probably due to emulating the converters, also when i crank it to the max it has that transient softening that it does, compared to the brainworx that gets a little pointy, so it sound more soft and colored while the brainworx sound more clean. Also the UAD is emulating the old 500 series rack while the Brainworx is emulating the SPL transient designer 4 so i guess different era, companies nowadays are going for cleaner units.

      @@PlugMEin I used the fuse audio labs RS-W2395C drive knob after the brainworx spl transient designer plus and could get the same transient which softened and made the transient fuller so i am good if i want a less poky transient.

    Sounds like Text to voice over software. The content is nice, but the presentation isn’t
