I remember a story I read on that subreddit. It was about two people who were going to walk down to a basement for something and OP got to the bottom of stairs and their friend was behind them, but when OP turned around, their friend was back at the top and both of them were scared and confused. OP asked “what happened?” and the friend responded with “I don’t know”

Something like that happened with me and my sister. The door slammed in the other room but it was just us two home. When we went to see what it was she said she saw me slam the door but in all reality I was in my room. Idk it was weird I freaked out

ive had over 3 different things like this happen, from my close friends personalities completely changing to my parents switching roles too even clear memories i have that nobody else i know remembers. I also have another story like this happen, basically i had a dream where my parents hosted a huge party for a football game 50 or more family friends and relatives. i remember going to sleep quickly and then waking up in real life too asking my parents about it...they said that there wasent even a important football game the day before. soon after covid-19 started things started too get worse and everything shifted in tone and felt more drab like the opposite of that one moment in the Previous universe story. crazy stuff man crazy stuff that ill never forget

I, too, swore I still heard my dog after he passed. I heard the distinct sounds of his nails tapping the wood floor and his dog tags jingling as he walked around the house. I heard the sounds of him scratching at the front door and nudging the doorknob with his nose to let us know when he was ready to come in from outside. I still “heard” him for a while, and I think that’s a normal and common occurrence for many right after losing a dog.
Same when my cat died in 2017. We swore we heard her after she had passed
I know this is different, but once my brother moved into an apartment with a very steep, wooden stairs. We used to hear the sounds of someone walking down the stairs every day. We could be looking at the stairs, and not see anything, but the footsteps were loud and clear. One time I was sitting at the bottom of the stairs and felt someone push my back, when there was nobody on the stairs at the time. You could also here someone getting in and out of the bed (the bed was right near the top of the stairs), from the blankets moving, to the creaking of the floor, right before you'd hear the sounds of someone walking down the stairs. It was only a while later, when my brother was talking to the landlord, that we found out the person who lived there before him was an old man who died when he fell down those stairs after getting out of bed in the morning. He was found naked at the bottom of the stairs several days later.
same, woke up one day and felt my recently deceased cat’s footsteps on my bed like she usually does. i turned around and nothing was there
That last story was horrifying, I so badly hope that it's fake because the thought of that happening to me is genuinely terrifying.

A short but weird one, I remember being a kid, maybe 12-13 years old, and I struggled a lot with math homework. One day, while my parents were both working I was home alone working on an important math homework assignment, I was procrastinating hard, and was simultaneously so bored, stressed, and tired. I was breaking wooden pencils just for fun I was so bored. Finally after an hour of barely filling out any of the questions, I went to the bathroom, I specifically remember keeping my door closed. I went to the bathroom and at this point, kinda blacked out, or at least went into what I can only describe as a hypnotic half dream, half awake state. I don’t remember using the bathroom, I just remember exiting the room, walking down the hallway, blacking out, and then waking up again outside the bathroom door in the hallway again. As I walked back, the door to my room was open, there were no broken pencils, just the homework, neatly stacked, completely filled in with all the correct answers and a pencil that looked nearly brand new. I remember getting a cold chill as I walked into the room and feeling simultaneously very confused but also very relieved the homework was done.
Wish that could’ve happened to me lol, free finished homework!

I once read someone's story about how they "died" in a car crash, similar to the shower story. They were driving up a winding mountain road, the road was under construction and they had to travel in the oncoming lane for a bit when the last thing they remember is a truck heading straight towards them with no chance to avoid it. Then the next thing they know they're still facing the oncoming truck, but with plenty of time to avoid it now. I don't know if Quantum Immortality is at fault, or if it's all fake to begin with, but I do know that I never want to find out for myself.
The dog one I think is that their dog hadn't moved onto the other side completely yet, like a ghost I mean. It happens sometimes, some people never cross over completely for whatever reason, but it's common when someone passes, they linger around for a while.
When I was extremely young, below 5, I was electrocuted from a Christmas tree we had in the house, and the idea that I got transported to a different timeline is freaky.
I don't know if this counts as a glitch in the matrix, but I had a perfect attendance record for my school career, with a certificate to commemorate that impressive achievement. I was looking through my old yearbooks some time ago, and noticed something very strange and concerning: I was nowhere in my 5th grade yearbook, not in the class photo despite knowing for a fact I was there, not in the extracurricular photos, not even as a name in the back, yet I had my book signed by my friends.
The thing is, I nearly drowned that year in the family pool when one of my brothers playfully shoved me into the deep end when he forgot that I was still learning how to swim, and had to be rescued by my older brother. A towel that one of us was holding had gotten around my head in the rough housing, which wasn't helping with the whole sinking thing, and, even now as a 32 year old, I still remember to this day that entire thing happened so quickly.
I just simply don't exist in my 5th Grade Yearbook. I remember those classmates, I remember exactly where I was supposed to be standing in the class photo and what I was wearing, even the sparkly blue sneakers with curly shoelaces I can point out in pictures of that year, but I just don't appear anywhere in that school book when I should.
It's weird that you don't appear in the book yet you have it signed by friends. I mean if you got sent to another dimension where you either didn't go to that school or somehow missed all the pictures, why would you even get the year book much less have it signed??
I'm not saying this isn't real of course. I'm just a huge lore nerd and when something doesn't add up, I get curious about the missing details.

The snowmobile one is written really weird but I wouldn’t say that it’s not true just because the way that it’s written things like that can be very vivid and when you’re remembering it you can feel like it’s happening to you right now and that’s why you would write it in the present context but it does feel really weird like it’s being written as a story

some of these could be explained with amnesia combined with the hyper realistic dreams you get in a coma. they forget key moments in their previous life and it is instead replaced with a slightly different coma life made with fragmented memories of the current life, then when they wake up its as if they woke up in a different dimension because the made up coma memories replaced the real one. im no doctor tho so idk if that could really happen

Bro the death stories got me thinking, in the perspective of another person, would assume that the person who died went to Heaven, but on the perspective of the "dead" person, he would wake up as if he didn't die, but in reality, they just transported into another universe, it makes me think that this is their second chance at life..
and that, my dear children, is what we call ✨quantum immortality✨
I mean even if it isn't the same im pretty sure that the same thing that lets a boltzmann brain exist would mean that eventually the big bang would start all over and even could recreate the exact same "timeline" we are on right now

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but her saying she couldn't have been dreaming as she's been a lucid dreamer for several years at that point, and that it was "more vivid that anything she'd ever experienced" is precisely what is to be expected in someone that is dreaming. It is a verified fact that dreams, especially from lucid dreamers, can and are more vivid, more "real" at times, than real life. Waking dreams are something that trips up even the most experienced of lucid dreamers.
Lucid dreams can be fucken scary bro, I can't tell if it's real or not until the last few minutes of the dream or when I wake up
12:49 this story makes me think of when we had to put my cat down in April this year for two or three weeks after I felt something at the foot of my bed where he would sleep for 14 years. I would turtle light on and look and nothing. I would get back in bed and ten minutes later it would happen again.

Honestly, I'm not sure how to explain it but I get these weird "visions" every once and a while. In a dream, its always something that isn't very interesting, like for example, me watching a youtube video and playing a game. Its odd though because it happens in a dream of mine and then I usually brush it off. Then randomly, whether its a few months or a day later, that exact situation happens, if its a youtube video, I can predict what happens pretty accurately.
I read about this phenomenon somewhere, apparently your eyes may process things at slightly different times and so we get this sudden rushing feeling of nostolgia even for things we've never done or seen. Its crazy how the brain works to where I associated these things to some weird dream I had. In hindsight, I get that sudden feeling of nostolgia but I can never pinpoint where I saw it or even if it was in a dream. In fact thats probably a lie my brain came up with to make sense of it prior to finding out about the phenomenon. My left eye is signiicantly worse than my right eye, to the point where I'd be considered legally blind for that eye, it strains easier and I have a harder time using it, so thats probably why it happened a number of times in my life. I get what these people feel, even if not to the same extent. Its very interesting to read
I vividly remember a few times where I've had a dream or thought up something happening then maybe weeks or a month later it happens, someone does a thing or says something that I saw, I even respond the same way I did in the dream. Idk what it is but I definitely saw it happen.
Yeah that happens to a lot of people and it’s very creepy. Sometimes it can be explained because it’s a usual task/common place/casual or normal conversation but sometimes it’s something we never heard, seen, or know and we get a vision of it then it happens in the future

Back in university (2018-19) I used to wear my hair up in a bun all the time. I would use the same 4, stretched-out Bobby pins every time. One day, I go to get ready, and I cannot find those Bobby pins. I emptied out the tray they should’ve been, even checked in my bedroom, they were straight up gone. So I used new ones and went on with my day. A week later, I grab a brand new pack of cotton balls from my room, still with the perforated seal at the top. At the very bottom of that tightly packed bag of cotton balls, were all 4 of my very distinct, stretched-out Bobby pins
I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve had such a vivid dream and had the same exact thing happen in the waking world.
I remember when I was little I had a dream where me and my family went to a particular restaurant that had a salad bar. I mention this because this was the only restaurant in the chain I’ve been to that had a salad bar. And we sat at a window seat. I asked my parents if they wanted a napkin and pulled a napkin from the little dispenser and the napkin dispenser tipped over.
Years later we went to the same particular restaurant with the salad bar and the exact same thing happened. Window seat. I was asked to grab a napkin. I had to pause when I grabbed one because an eerie feeling washed over me.
It was so weird.
Note: I’ve never been to this restaurant before.

That story about the dog , I’ve experienced myself my dog passed but at random times at night I’ll hear him pawing at the back door to let him in like he use to and I’ll hear him moving around in his kennel adjusting himself to get comfy like he use to :) and hear him snort and puff cause of his jowls miss you xoatl this is still your home my friend

Those stories are crazy. The last one felt the least believable to me though.
Got a couple of good stories. When I still used to live with my mom, she lived in a home built in the 1870s In the country side on a gravel road. Probably 5-6 cars would pass a day but a bunch would during harvesting times because there were corn fields all over. So one day I wake up, probably 6am and the sun was just getting up. When I woke up, for no reason whatsoever I was thinking about this car passing by my house and honking the horn. Literally 15 seconds later I hear a car coming up the road and when it was in front of the house it honked the horn. I wasn't even fazed by it or anything like I knew it was going to happen. Literally the same year like a month later I'm in my room and I just hear a car passing by. I just looked out my window to see it was a white dodge ram. And on the road my mom lives on, it's a long thresh the goes about 10 minutes with not turning spots. So after that dodge ram passed, about 10 seconds goes by and I hear another car coming for it to be the exact same white dodge ram that just passed going in the same direction. And I was like wtf that dodge ram just passed. And about 20 seconds goes by and I hear again another car coming and I say to myself, it's going to be the white dodge ram and it was. I didn't even know how to react, the same exact dodge ram passed 3 times within like 40 seconds going in the exact same direction when my mom lives on a long stretch of road where theres no where to turn. The Dodge ram would have needed to go around our house which is a corn field to pass again at the same direction. Those 2 things never happened again since then.

I remember back when I was a teenager I used to get light headed when I got up too quickly. But this one time I completely blacked out. I didn't fall over but it was like I was completely gone for an indefinable amount of time.
I came to still standing in place, my family still standing in the kitchen as they had been. But it was like my brain had completely shut down or something, like I couldn't comprehend reality for a moment. I didn't know who my family where or even who I was. I didn't have a sense of self or anything for a couple of seconds before I came back to normal again. My memory of who I am and the world came back but it still felt weird for a while, like I was just looking through the eyes of this person I was supposed to be.
I assume it's just some kind of black out but it really altered my perception for a day or two.
For the longest time as a kid I always thought I was psychic because I would have dreams of events that would happen later in life.
For example I had a dream of a conversation with my uncle and I think one of his friends or my brother, I don't remember now cause it was so long ago, but I do remember that the exact conversation happened not even a week later and I got so overwhelmed with Deja Vu it actually made me lightheaded.
I still get these feelings from time to time, but I rarely remember my dreams anymore so it's hard to tell if I even still get these mini premonitions or if its something else. If I am dreaming up premonitions though, I guess nows a good time to mention last night i dreamt I was in a Zombie apocalypse and took shelter in a motel like building. 🤷♀️

The quantum immortality thing really would explain a lot of things. But that would also raise more questions as to the nature of our consciousness and the multiverse
If this reality exists, why wouldn’t others exist. Tiny atoms are eerily similar to solar systems while the gigantic cosmic web background looks like brain formations of neuron pathways. If we zoom out or in enough, we might just find ourselves again.

@@tiredofthebullshit i don’t think it’s crazy to believe that there are infinite universes (personally, i’m pretty agnostic about the whole thing), but even if we could somehow prove that that’s the case, we still wouldn’t /necessarily/ have proven the existence of quantum immortality, right?
what if, say, there _are_ infinite universes, but our consciousness doesn’t transfer to a version of ourselves in a different universe when we die? rather, maybe each version of ourselves in each separate universe already has its own consciousness that can’t be ‘kicked out’ or replaced by another, so ours from the universe in which we’re dead is just…homeless?
or maybe that version of our consciousness can be returned to us in a universe in which we’re comatose - in which our consciousness of that universe has died - and we suddenly wake up from the coma and finally see our family again. that could explain why someone might die in one universe and then wake up only to find their reality slightly ‘off’ - random little shit like their mom’s face being a little slimmer, the trees looking a little yellower, raccoons being a little bigger. (edit: in hindsight, i realize i literally just described quantum immortality. i’m a fucking idiot)
or maybe that’s what happens with dementia patients right before they die - i’ve heard that they suddenly become lucid for a short time directly before their death, so what if that’s our consciousness from one universe - whether it be from the dementia universe or a dead one or elsewhere - briefly returning to our physical form in a desperate attempt to have a home again, only to be evicted and left to its own devices once more, having no other purpose than to search for a new host? (sounds like a parasite when i say it like that…)

Like impossible synchronicities, coincidences. People speaking out specific branches of thought i had days before. Its really scary. Seems the more i try and reestablish some sense into the world it slaps me in the face.. I can’t explain it. It’s Alive!!!! My friends have also had the same experiences… but anyway yes i believe its possible. Maybe thats the god our species refers to and its us. And were it. Who knows 🤷

i just realized listening to these stories that i've had similar experiences but i'm also a huge pothead so i'm not sure if i hallucinated most of my experiences. i mean i could have, but they could also be real. like once i hit my bong too hard and for some reason couldn't exhale. i pushed my stomach onto my counter where my sink is and the smoke came out but then it happened again and the smoke couldn't come out. i could swear i was gonna be the first person to die from a weed overdose or somethin weird and stupid like that but then i woke up in my lazy boy recliner chair and it was like 2 seconds before i took that hit and for some reason i put my bong down and cleaned it without hittin it first. that was weird. i just assumed i hallucinated it but now i'm not so sure. is that a thing? can ppl just not exhale smoke sometimes and die?
that’s trippy. i’ve never heard of anything like that but maybe a muscle spasm-type thing (some kinda malfunction, idk) could make you ‘forget’ how to exhale? that’s a terrifying thought cos if there’s actually a real physical cause for being unable to exhale, then even if you were to lose consciousness due to lack of oxygen, you wouldn’t just start breathing involuntarily like you’re supposed to.
idk if that makes any sense but imma just keep telling myself it’s not possible cos i already have enough health anxiety lol
edit: i should clarify - i’m just talking about a sudden respiratory arrest with no obvious cause. like, maybe that could happen at any time, regardless of whether you’re smoking.

All of Reddit is like 98% bs. So in that subreddit they just want you to really try to make your story somewhat believable before posting, better than many other subreddits that should do the same thing.

Oh my God I just got chills when you said there was no iPhone 13 ironically the reason why I clicked on this was because I had a really bad car accident over 100 miles an hour and I got out of it unscathed and besides the big huge bruise on my boob that I didn’t feel I didn’t hurt at all like none of it hurt even though going over 100 miles an hour you would think someone would be dead I did have to breathing very heavily as if I had to reboot but I also remember having an iPhone 14 and there was no iPhone 13 like they skipped nine and they skipped 13 and that has honestly been the most obvious thing in my life that has changed also the days surrounding my accident was actually a loop from 2016 where I almost did everything exactly the same except I ended up turning around and heading back home instead of going into Canada and this time instead of turning around and going back home I ended up wanting to have some fun and seeing how fast I could go on the highway the accident didn’t involve anybody else but me and the guard rail so don’t worry about that no one else was hurt or anything but when the cops came almost immediately when this accident happened I seriously did consider when I said the date because they asked me do you know what year it is or whatever I considered that saying 2022 would be really weird if I went back in time and it’s actually 2016 again because of that whole loop thing that I literally didn’t even remember that day until I was reliving all the things that I was doing from that day and this time I chose a different path instead of doing the same thing that I did in 2016 and ironically both of these times that collider the particle Excelerator or whatever was active so it’s just weird to hear that someone else is talking about the iPhone 13 not being a thing because that was the weirdest thing I knew I had an iPhone 14 I’m not just someone that goes and picks up the new phone and I don’t know the schematics or anything that’s new about it or whatever I just do it because my last phone was a iPhone 8 and I specifically waited until I felt like the phone was different enough to where it would be beneficial to my life to get a new one because they’re like $1000 so it’s not like I’m just going to spend that money willy-nilly I’m a poor person and I watch the tech videos on the phones so yeah I knew that it was an iPhone 14 and that they skipped iPhone 13 another thing that actually changed but it was a couple days before the accident was there was a bunch of episodes of Naruto on my recommended page on RUclips not full episodes but you know what I mean and I have re-watched all of Naruto multiple times to know that these episodes never existed and it wasn’t part of Boruto or anything it was not even in this universe because they’re not a thing in this universe but I swear to God that a couple of days before I had the accident I was in a really weird place and I had a very minimal contact with the world outside of my phone The days heading towards my accident… also some thing that was very important to me that happened when I was in my teenage years that I experienced with my mom which was like a big thing that happened my mom claims that she doesn’t remember it but weeks before when I was talking about it she knew exactly what I was talking about and we had a conversation about it and that has kind of stuck with her since she has “forgotten“ she has like permanently forgotten so I am willing to bet that I am now in an alternate universe and I skipped around a little bit settling here after dying in a weird universe that I shouldn’t have been in because it was way too different but yeah any chance I can get I love talking about my experience with this because just the oddity of what I would consider a loop pretty much doing the same thing on these 2 days in 2016 and 2022 and not really remembering doing it the first time until I was like literally living the parallel day of the first one it was just weird dude any excuse I get to talk about that because I like remembering it I despite being in the car accident because there was no repercussions of being hurt open till crashing it was fun everything about that day was super fun super super dangerous but it was the first time that I felt more saturated if that makes sense I don’t know anyways OK bye

I was once was on the bus when it stopped next to a building I looked up at a window and saw a man sitting on his bed beside the window but then I realised the guy wasn't moving the bus was in trafic so I was staring at the window for atleast 2 minutes but all the time he didn't move it was like in a video game when the character off screen is in an idle position because the player can't see them mabe it's just me but it was really wierd

Since I was a kid I had several Dreams where I saw a Bridge buildungs behind it and a white boat underneath it it was never the same dream always something different (but always the same moment with the boat the buildungs an the bridge) than I went to an two day trip to Rotterdam (Netherlands) and on the way to our hotel
There it is the excact moment from all these years
Everything really everything was excactly the same even the weather where I was coming from how tall I was and that I was on foot
It was incredible

I've had multiple dreams where I died, or atleast I should have. When this happens it doesn't wake me up and I just get up and keep going in the dream. I've fallen off high places, attacked by monsters/animals and even been shot through the head but every time I just keep coming back.
Usually after I die but don't in a dream I also stop being afraid because I know I can't loose. And then I begin to manifest powers, usually obliterating whatever would have been my death causer.
Once I telekenetically pushed a demon through a keyhole like that scene in that one alien movie. I remember waking up and feeling sick to my stomach after seeing that.
It happens so often sometimes I wonder if it will happen if I actually die. Not that I'm too keen to test it out lol.
Basically lucid dreaming, you can have more of these using techniques and you can do whatever you want in them

The Quantum Immortality thing is a really freaky concept
Of the quantum immortality theory is true. I can see two leading theories arising in their place.
1. That there is no afterlife and that when you get transported to your previous or other self. Be it younger or older.
2. The afterlife exists but is only accessed when you lose your quantum immortality and can no longer slip into a different dimension.
Around a year ago a clock upstairs randomly turned off we then noticed it and nothing was wrong with it. It just would not turn. Then around 7 months later it turned back on the exact right time down to the second hand

For the slipped and died one at the beginning I think the new Dr. Strange movie (multiverse of madness) actually explains this best. Where our dreams aren't always fiction, but rather alternate realities and we're experiencing life through their eyes or even as an out of body experience.
Now mind you if this theory was true then it would have to be only an occasional thing because it doesn't explain lucod dreamers who have full control over their dreams like some form of creative mode. (although with an infinite multiverse, I guess a sandbox reality where whatever you want can be real isn't too far fetched)

I know it’s dumb since the videos kinda related, I work at a feed store and we sale hay bales and stack the bales pretty high up but a couple months ago I was loading a customer a couple bales and since it’s pretty high up I had to climb his truck to reach his bales, at one point I slipped and fell having 3 bales fall with me, 1 bale hit my back before I hit my head on his tail light and everything went black I open my eyes and I’m under his truck but as I fell it felt like I entered 2nd person point of view I saw myself fall but I saw myself fall under a trailer I told my best friend and he told me to ask if there was video footage but I was told the cameras were on but not recording… that day never sat right with me
I’m pretty certain a car has killed me multiple time but just then I open my eyes and it’s stopped and I’m just barely scraped up

Near my house there's a vet right next to it there's a road and follow that road eventually lead to this little store people called the mini mart some reason I remember it being in the place I just have this one image of my in my head but being there everytime I think about it just feel so mysterious I told my mum and she just say it's my brain making things up but I know it's not I just can't shake is it to different timelines or am I just crazy or something I mean I am saying hallucinations everywhere I go to see Shadow People weird but you'll get used to it you'll get used to hallucinations when you see them

If quantum immortality is real I wonder what happens when people figure it out without any doubt. Like, do they start ending themselves just to go to different realities and end up in some timeline completely different than their own?
I'd probably avoid doing it, who knows where you could end up.
Also makes me wonder if it's possible to wilfully travel without having to off a version of yourself and if it's possible to navigate.
Maybe we always tend towards nearby realities where there are already many souls congregated.
Is it possible to see things in dreams before they happen? Or am i alone in this? Ive had this happen a few times and was lost.
