I think you misread the changes to Harmless Bonehead and Handless Forsaken. Their golden versions now double the number of minions summoned instead of doubling the stats.
Holy crap! My reading comprehension has been going down the toilet. I stared at the cards for hours trying to figure it out, and I literally could not see the difference. I have some on going medical things going on right now that keep showing up in my videos, and are driving me nuts.
@@Heretic721 I don’t think anything like that actually “shows” up. Maybe because you know you have stuff going on you think it’s apparent to others, I don’t think it is. Also people just make mistakes in things like this all the time, super common.
This channel is a hidden gem of content. Passionate about the game we love, info is presented in an articulate way and Heretic just seems on point with his evaluations of changes. Looking forward to the new season!
I love these elemental changes! The tribe has much more synergy with itself now. In the current build, their apm payoff comes online too late unless you high roll discover early. Their tavern spell build suffered greatly from losing shellemental, and was only viable if you managed to get azerite portrait + devour portrait. I think now the tribe will have much more focus, and I cant wait to try it out. Thanks for the video!
By the way heretic, I think the new text on refreshing anomaly "gain" x amount of free rerolls, means that if you stack them they wont overlap, for example if you played two in a row, you would get 4 free rerolls. I could be wrong but that is how it seems to me :D (also love ur vids, keep it up!)
If I remember right, there’s a duos card that does exactly that. I remember there being a deathrattle that gives both you and your teammates two refreshes that costed 0. It had the same wording as the new Anomaly, and I *think* it stacks because of that.
Love me some undead so was very interested in this video and since token UD is my fav, very excited about the new cards, especially Deathly Striker. Fun times ahead.
With Snow Baller and Fire Baller, don’t forget that both of them say “improve your future Ballers” as opposed to specifying your Snow Ballers or Fire Ballers specifically. So you could sell, say, three Snow Ballers, and then you should be able to sell a Fire Baller to give +4 attack to your board instead of restarting at +1. Not bad. Especially when I imagine it’s twice as likely to find one of these as any other tier 2 minion (15 Fire _and_ 15 Snow, as opposed to a combined 15), so you have a better chance of scaling well with these guys.
Wow. I’m definitely excited to play both Elementals and Undead. My favorite tribes so far. Both seem like they have OverPowered cards that will need nerfs 😅
I like that the elemental late game lets you keep a lot of stuff on the board. The ones where I have to constantly swap out my minions always felt odd to me. I also think you’re underestimating the number of tokens, Cadaver may not be as good at base but she’s one tier lower and can now gold. I think undead are going to be busted this season.
There is no way that "give it health equal to attack" minion stays. That literally reverts undead back to initial launch when it was an infinite army of huge stag minions. The balance in undead is that they have low health so you can kill them easily. This would remove any balance at all.
The last two reveals are here! RIP Party Elemental. Longtime simple scaling. Crackling Cyclone was nice while it lasted. Felbloods, again, will be missed. Definitely better in a Demons comp imo but were still useful for Elementals. Second time around for this one, but LAND LUBBER NOOOOOOO!!! You’ll be very dearly missed. RIP my favorite Tavern spell menagerie starter. Living Azerite was very cool to toy with, even if the BG team struggled to maintain it at a consistent tier. Tavern Tempest is such a great APM cycle card! Sucks to see it go. Recycling Wraith is GONE? WHAT?!?! NOOOOO!!!!! Truly tragic loss. Never ran Moss of the Schloss in most of my comps. Kinda meh on its departure. Carbonic Copy is out yet again! I had it in mind as a pivotal part of a funny Elemental comp that utilized Theotar and Nalaa for scaling. Never gave it shot myself (there’s still time for me to try, though!), but this minion would do a lot of heavy lifting for the comp. Flourishing Frostling was pretty darn nice to have on the board. The trinket related to it was also pretty fun to toy with. Transmuted Bramblewitch was such a nice minion. Such a great tech tool. Sucks to see it go. Rock Rock is a minion I never pulled off well enough, but the builds I saw in used it well. I hope it has a nice rest while it’s gone. Refreshing Anomaly getting such a refreshing (pun intended) rework is awesome. I always hated the fact that repeated Battlecries from Refreshing Anomaly wouldn’t stack, so having wording similar to Feisty Freshwater of Duos fame. Felemental’s return is, again, very welcome. Super nifty scaling, whether it’s minor or major. Wildfire Elemental is back to tier 3! Talk about a wild minion. Nomi, Kitchen Nightmare has returned to the tavern! What a classic Elementals cornerstone from the early days of the tribe’s introduction to the tavern. Glad to see it back. Dancing Barnstormer got one heck of an overhaul. Twice the scaling and twice the utilities? I would never have guessed! Works with Brann, Rylak, Rivendare, AND Macaw… all at once! Let’s see what happens with its return. GENTLE DJINNI MY BELOVED!! So glad to have it back. Really nice value generator, can’t wait to combine this with Shift Snake over in Duos so my teammate and I can both mess around with some fun card printers. Dune Dweller just looks so, so much more fun for early Elementals than Sun-Bacon Relaxer does for early Quillboar. Might actually be one of the nicest grabs off of Recruit a Trainee. Snow Baller and Fire Baller are the Felblood replacements, but for a new purpose, I guess? I think the scaling improvement idea is neat, really cool as a cycle card for APM builds. Big flavor score on the art of each Baller holding their respective elemental ball in opposite hands! Temperature Shift furthering this effect is really nice, considering you’ll likely sell both after playing them, it essentially only costs 2 gold! Meteorite Crashing is PHENOMENAL. Scales nicely, scales easily. If it had Taunt it would be much scarier. Windfall Tornado is a Tad for Elementals! The buff transfer is REALLY useful, considering you can’t always buff your board in the same way that you can buff your tavern with Elementals. On top of that, it’s just good value generation! Ichoron the Protector looks nifty for keeping those placeholder cycle Elementals around. Reduces gold floating, can keep your board alive longer, neat card. General utility, though… I’m not so sure about that. The GOLDEN version, though… now THAT looks nice. Twilight Primordium seems a lot better for Elemental buffs than Emergent Flame was a while back. It feels much easier to scale. Should be fun to use, especially when cycling for an APM build that has an amalgam in it. Nether Construct in the context of the new Elementals loadout looks pretty nice. Might even be better, honestly! Ultraviolet Ascendant will be JUICY with the right scaling! Can’t wait to try her out. Museum Mummy needed Khadgar to be entertaining. Remember those days? I do, and I loved them. Eternal Knight gets the boot, as I predicted! San’layn Scribe will be a very exciting replacement to the archetype, but seeing it leave is still quite sad. I will miss it a lot! Corpse Refiner is gone again! Loved the many heaps of gold she could acquire for my token builds. RIP. Putrid Pupil was the weird random card that Undead got after Blizzard failed to realize that Undead has no inherent Tavern spell generators. Didn’t use it much since I preferred to trigger Avenge effects and Deathrattles more, so I won’t miss it much. Moroes, Steward of Death leaving is sad, one of the OG Undead minions. It lost its past glory in the recent metas, so seeing it go feels like a big weight dropped for Undead. Hopefully its space is filled with something stronger! Eternal Summoner follows suit with Eternal Knight’s removal! The Deathrattle synergies are what made her the most fun imo. Filling your board with Eternal Knights was such a fun sight to see. I’ll miss her. But… you can catch me LOVING the new San’layn Scribe shenanigans! Archlich Kel’Thuzad was my fun way of copying my golden enchanted Arid Atrocities. What an entertaining board to mess around with, now only to fall into the depths with the loss of Kel’thu-freakin’-zad! Harmless Bonehead’s golden form going for a wider board is very nice. More Avenge procs to trigger! Scarlet Skull’s simplicity is nice. Never was fond of it, but hey… can’t argue with stats. Corpse Refiner got refined/recycled into Corpse Recycler? Interesting design change! Reminds me of the un-undeadification of Peggy and Eliza, but in reverse! Her utility was better in Undead anyway imo so this change doesn’t feel too bad. Maybe she hated sailing on seas? Handless Forsaken also goes wider with its tokens! I like these changes quite a lot. Mummifier on tier 3 is nice, no stat changes. Good buff. Cadaver Caretaker is yet another token summoner going wider! Tier buff and a token reduction helps prevent the introduction of a text that reads “Summon eight 1/1 skeletons” and violates board limits. I think all of these changes will help Thundering Abomination and Catacomb Crasher scale a little better. Nightbane, Ignited… sigh. Without Archlich Kel’thuzad around, it looks much easier to put up with. Praying that this card is less oppressive with this taken into consideration. Wandering Wight does WHAT?!?! This looks INCREDIBLY strong. Betting on a nerf at some point if players luck out on scaling. Would LOVE to put this in my San’layn Scribe comps! Wisp in the Shell is a fun reference to Ghost in the Shell. As for its effect, I’m very excited to cycle this in token-oriented APM menagerie! Deathly Striker is a very cool value printer… but then the fact that they can be USED IN THE SAME COMBAT??? I love it already. Snag this early and you could probably guarantee yourself a top 4 placement. Imagine a Denathrius giving this Stealth with the Theotar’s Parasol quest reward, loading your hand with minions… and then it fills your board with a new wave of tokens! Niche outcome, sure, but a strong one at that. My new favorite card, perhaps? What a fantastic final reveal day. I expect a very entertaining season ahead, and I look forward to seeing everyone in the Battlegrounds.
I will try to avoid being the one who points out errors... after this one. I promise. Golden Harmless Bonehead summons 4 1/1 minions. Not 2. Last time. I promise.
Hahaha If I mess up I expect to catch flak for it. The only frustrating part is when twelve dozen people point it out. :P The funny part is when I leave a error in on purpose, and NOBODY notices.
Seems Triple Deathly Striker should be fine-only summons one or two (if you triple) “Summon it” “Summon them”. Maybe it’ll only be the first undead you generate. But I guess we’ll see.
I think you misread the changes to Harmless Bonehead and Handless Forsaken. Their golden versions now double the number of minions summoned instead of doubling the stats.

Is there any mechanic for the season like anomalies or quest? Or is it just straight normal BGs?
