Thank you for this video. It was simple and to the point. After watching this with my younger daughter, she completely understood and proceeded to have us watch more videos and subscribed. Can’t wait to learn more and grow on our new bonding experience
Big thumbs up...subscribed and YES, PLEASE....MORE CONTENT JUST LIKE THIS....starting right from where you left off. This is valuable, practical and timely info that many like myself will be educating themselves on about now. You are eady to listen to, organized in content presentation without a lot of fluff, and give the most pertinent info. Thank you!
Thank you for this! I would to see more instructional videos like this. It is super helpful and straightforward covering the basics perfectly. As a beginner it has helped me tremendously simply by giving me a base understanding of things. Keep it up brother it is much appreciated!
Silver Picker, would love to see you do a video on the pros and cons to professional grading services for both modern, 19th century, ancient, and world coins.
I would definitely like to see more videos like this. I just got started and went to the bank I usually go to for years, and found out that I had to specially order some of my coin rolls and they start out at $1000 😣
More content coming soon! If you can scrape together the cash you can get the $1000, search it, and bring it back to the bank the same day. Just keep the silver you find.
Great vid Silver Picker. I have forwarded to a friend who wants to start accumulating phisical silver and does not know about the old US silver coins. Thanks for sharing!
@@Silverpicker Maybe how to *not* get ripped off when coin hunting ;) I am very new to coin collecting, so this is just what I would find useful, personally, while I am learning where to coin shop, and where not to. Thanks!
To make it even easier, the following coin types hold the following silver weight in troy ounces. Just multiply by silver spot price. Uncirculated Dimes hold .07234 troy ounces. Circulated .0715 troy ounces Uncirculated Quarters hold .18084 troy ounces. Circulated .1787 troy ounces Uncirculated Halves hold .36169 troy ounces. Circulated .3575 troy ounces Uncirculated Dollars hold .77334 troy ounces.
I have a small collection i have done over the years. I have worked at a gas station for the past 6 years and only learned about silver coins in the last few years. In case i wanted to get the most out of my collection what’s the best way to go about selling it? I’m not in a hurry but I wouldn’t mind learning if i have a super rare one lol but i would love to see if my collection is worth more keeping/selling together or individually. Very informational video.
Thank you for your help. I just started this hobby but I saw a video and a guy found a 2019w quarter and got excited. I looked in my pocket and actually had one and a steel penny. What is so good about them and are they worth anything? Any help would be appreciated
Just started collecting silver, myself. Up to ten ounces. Also have a few ounces of gold. I simply buy the coins for the silver value and not the numismatic value. Silver is silver.

Best place to sell your stuff is either eBay or Craigslist in my opinion
Good info and reminder even for people who know this stuff !
Great video
Good tips man.
Business minted coins no longer have silver. Current collectors' set do have silver. Great informative video.
Thanks for much for this info!
Your welcome and glad you enjoyed this
Okay, will do. I'll come back and let you know how things turned out.
Washington half dollar 1942 are worth to keep it ?
I'm new any tips are helpful thanks!
I can't believe that this video has so many views when videos from silversearcher only have 10000!
Thank you for your help. I just started this hobby but I saw a video and a guy found a 2019w quarter and got excited. I looked in my pocket and actually had one and a steel penny. What is so good about them and are they worth anything? Any help would be appreciated
The 2019w quarter is prob worth $10, depending on the condition. The 1943 steel cent is only worth about 10 cents though. Nice finds!
@@Silverpicker thank you.
Man your lucky. I haven’t found a steel penny in my change yet.
If you find a 1944 steel penny it's worth over $100,000
Thank you
On a money roll what is an ender and what is the significance?
what is the metal at 1:22? I found something that looks identical to this.
Many thanks!
Good info 👍🏼
Thanks it was very good
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have some of that Dime, pennies, and US philippine coins, how can i sell it?
well this is cool!
So from my general understanding as of 2023...Silver is a very limited resource..to mine.
great vid

Yes good thanks

Buen vídeo
Thanks!!
yes so awesome more I likeeeee
All of my nickels (including post 1964) have the silver rimming. What does this mean?
Nickels are made of nickel. The rules outlined in this video do not apply
@@Silverpicker ah I see, thank you
Sir i got 1965 dime of pres.roosevelt ;how is the prevailing value?
Ten cents.
If the US Mint did not make coins out of silver anymore , why do I have a CT and a GA quarter
Do you know what an non sequitur is?
@@Silverpicker no
What about nikles from 1964?
When I was a baby I loved coins
1934 was the last year they minted silver dollars for circulation…
The mint does stll make silver coins... just not common coins.
True. Fair point. This video, however, only focuses on business strike coins
So should I get rid of my 1964 nickels
What's the point of keeping them?
@@Silverpicker idk are they worth keeping
Can I buy anything from you
Hi Veronica! I have a ton of stuff available now. Email me at thesilverpicker@gmail.com and we can discuss!
What about nickels
There is definitely an opportunity with war nickels
I don't see war nickel
nickels 1942-1945 are %35 silver
Silver isnt the problem the money system is
more more
never mind
I'm a boob, so I can't collect any
