- Drone footage captured Jan. 13, 2023, a day after a tornado struck Selma shows the just how extensive the damage is in the historic Alabama town. The tornado hit Selma on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023.

I've seen videos of stuff like this but until I lived it I didnt understand my town is forever changed
i hope those people are getting disaster aid.. ive heard nothing about those people getting any kind of help.. i havent checked to see either so i hope they are getting help

Serious damage. This must've been a really scary tornado for local residents! Amazing that more people weren't killed!
This isn’t that bad compared to other tornadoes from this decade, Worst I see is High End EF2.
It is BAD and it was an EF-2 that happened here. Our town is in ruins but we're standing together.
@@doyothang27 I have seen images of houses GONE with only their foundation remaining, when that happens, it is a High end EF4 or even an EF5. Sure, Selma may have suffered millions in damages, but when you look at other tornadoes from this decade, it ain't so bad. Also, if it were quote "in ruins" it would have to be an intense tornado, (EF3+ ). Just saying.
@@BusinessMudkip , I'm just going to ignore you during these trying times in my city. The situation at hand is not about other tornados or other decades. This was more than an intense tornado. I witnessed it! You just pray that you don't experience what my city is going through. Your ignorant opinion means zero to us here in Selma.
