Okay, for anyone upset about splitting up the video… didn’t think I’d have to break this down, but here we go. When you’re reacting to other peoples content, RUclips will Strike and Ban any videos that unlawfully use said content in its original from. I’ve had 2 SB19 videos blocked in 2 weeks. Since I’m using someone else’s video and that video has Copyrighted music in it, you can’t just let run. Speaking every now and then also counts as changing the video, which is why I tend to ask as many questions through out as possible. Plus I love to read everyone’s responses and individual opinions on whatever we’re watching. As much as I would love to sit through 45 straight minutes of video, my 4 hours of editing will go for nothing if it gets banned before it even makes it to you guys.
I’ll try to do part two tomorrow if I get off early enough from work.
Thank You to everyone for stopping in. Even though it’s a little much at times, I appreciate all the critiques and love the fact that you all really care about This group. It’s super dope to see.

Understand your concern and caution. The reactions to the editing are because dozens of other reactors have uploaded the video in its entirety without any strikes. But you can’t be expected to know that. Enjoy your BTS journey.

Then I have a suggestion what will help you. Do not rush it, take your time to get something finished you don't have to make a reaction video all at once. You can do it in pieces eg stop and go do your normal every day things then come back later to finish it. Then when it's all ready you can upload it. That would make it much less rushed and give you time to think and react. That way you'll get more viewers. It's quality of a reaction that gets people watching and returning rather than trying to rush them out. Does that make sense? Does that help?

I don't know if ARMY cares if you split it into more than one part. At least i don't. I think they're more bothered by the editing you did by cutting out sections of the video. ARMY loves to see every single part and piece of info that you react to. Thank you for this video and I can't wait for part 2 & 3, especially for you to learn a bit about ARMY too. Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole. ARMY will accompany you along the way. BORAHAE💜

First time reactors might think that it is only superficial but BTS members love each other like brothers and many times they have shown their trust and love for each other.
ARMY loves them and want them to be safe and happy.
PS. ARMY is very protective of them because we've seen all the unjustified hate so please disregard any haters that might infiltrate your channel in an attempt to give BTS a bad name. ARMY tries to follow the good example BTS gives us and so we aim to reflect their good characters.

Bang is brilliant he wanted real artist who had creative freedom. He'd worked for one of the big 3 Kpop companies and I really think he saw things he didn't agree with and decided he was going to do things differently. He wanted real artists rather than performers who were given a song to sing and told what to do.

    • @ruthfischer7615
      @ruthfischer7615 5 месяцев назад +3

The story is told as follows:
Bang studied aesthetics and helped his friend JYP found his label writting hits for him and the artists under the label.
In the early 2000 both went to the US trying to partner with Western labels for synergy. Let's say they were not treated well and leave it at that.
During that time both shared a room and Bang always says - with a smile - he exploded at his friends how he had his socks lying around and that lead to the "split".
      (They are still firends)
Bang formed his own label in 2005 and hired a few people. In cooperation with other labels he helped manage artists. When those double contracts ran out only Lee Hyun resigned with Big Hit.
But in 2010 one of Bang's producers - Pdogg - went out drinking with the rapper Sleepy who told him about this incredible talented underground rapper kid: Kim Namjoon aka. Runch Randa aka. RM.
So Pdogg brought this kid to Bang's attention, Bang invited him to auditon and began to shape the idea of BTS around him.
There was a lot of experimenting but also artistic freedom.
And well... everything else is history.
Tricky to say what the idea was Bang changed around for this artistic freedom and when... only that he did.

At least for me that just gets frustrating and can really ruin the experience of watching a reaction.
You also didn’t need to cut your reaction to this, but could have included it all and made it one long video - we will happily sit through them. But I get that you couldn’t have known that, so hopefully now you know when it comes to future reactions. 16:15 "He's the too cool for school one" not you accidentally naming their first "album" 😂 BTS's debut single album was named "2 cool 4 skool" and was the first part of their school trilogy released in 2013.
Also, you'll see that for yourself, but these guys really are brothers. The youngest literally joined them at 14 years old and they all kind of grew up together as teenagers and then as young adults and now are still evolving together as grown men. They don't hide how much they fought in their life and how it got them closer and closer. They've said multiple times that they don't consider each other "friends" anymore but literally brothers. A couple of them even said that, because they've spent the most intense part of their life together, the members feel more like their family than their actual family.

BTS/Army/BH were very organized disciplined and strategic enough to overcome big money by being true to themselves and loving/respecting their art, their fans & each other. SB19 came after BTS. • @tracydowd4013
    @tracydowd4013 5 месяцев назад +9

Even though RM is the Leader of the group, he is not dictating anything, they are actually more like a brotherhood, than a "Machine". They all work together as one, because they are close, they all have their own specific specialty within the group, and they all work extremely hard. they are an inspirational underdog story.
RM is the group leader, and the rap line are the main songwriters (RM, SUGA, J-HOPE) even though all seven of the members contribute songwriting, composition, and production. But Bang PD has been their mentor, and a big Brother, or Father type figure. Even though he is their CEO, he's always encouraged them to create their own sound, and gives them creative freedom. Their main Producer is PDOGG, but the guys all have experience producing their own music as well. And SUGA tends to do more of the Group production out of the seven. They have a really great production team that is very supportive of their art.
Also, the more of the video that you skip, and less you pay attention to the video, the more information you will miss. You asked numerous questions about information that was covered in the video. So please pay attention, don't skip parts of the video, and pause occasionally to read if you need to. I think it's a good idea that you make this video a few parts. I can understand having a hard time paying attention to the whole video. So just pause if needed. Thanks. 💜

It is good that you are taking the time to get to know them. I understand why you had to cut parts because I know how RUclips can be. However, I do have a few suggestions for you.
    1) Please, play attention and actually read the subtitles
    2) Please, don't compare BTS to other groups. I understand you want a reference point, but they are definitely not the same.
    3) Pause when you have something to say so you don't miss anything.
    Also, a couple of notes.
BTS is the biggest group in the world and is among the top 10 current artists in the world. They are also the biggest group to debut in the last 35 years.
Also, their struggle at the beginning is beyond what you could even imagine. I would recommend that you watch BTS Hardships 2013 to 2021 by XCeleste to get an idea of how bad it was.

He gave a modest concert for 200 people (a big difference to the concerts from BTS with an audience of 90.000 people). You can also find a Tiny Desk concert online where he performs 3 songs with a live band. You should check it out. RM is the leader of BTS and is the link between the group and the company. He's the only one fluent in English and helps the others with interviews. The members all respect him a lot. He's also the main writer (187 credits). All the members enlisted into the military. Please pause more and pay attention to what's written; I think you missed some key points with RM and Suga (aka Agust D). I don't know SB19 (though I've heard of them), but BTS are bigger. They are worldwide famous. Please read the comment I left on your MicDrop video - it's long, but maybe you'll understand more. Since May 2022, all 7 of them have released solo albums (as opposed to mix tapes) and promoted them. They all have unique styles. J-Hope once said he felt it was fate that brought them all together. Also, since May 2022, ALL of them got a "7" tattooed on their bodies in different places to symbolize they will be 7 forever. They truly became family over the years, despite all their unique talents and differences.

Min Yoongi goes by Suga in BTS. Suga stands for ‘shooting guard’ his favorite position in basketball (and the position he played). Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others...
Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
The members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became member of BTS)
    Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
    Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11
    JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8
RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13
    Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo)
    V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo)
    JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo
Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.
The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age.
    💜Have a great day

4:40 Definitely humble beginnings. BigHit was financially unstable at the time of their debut, they didn't even have the $$ or influence to engage with usual promotional methods, which ended up being a pillar to their success, like vlogging on YT and using twitter and fancafe, etc. But they were also known as monster rookies, and despite not having the reach of other companies they gained recognition pretty quickly because of their sincerity and talent. The 1st 2 years were the most unstable for them with ups and downs, but from 2015 with the release of their album series The Most Beautiful Moments in Life it was a pretty a steady and sometimes steep climb up to the top where they are now.

Not just big in Korea. Big everywhere. Sold out shows at Sofi Stadium in LA and Allegiant Stadium in Vegas (four at each). LA concert is on Disney +. J Hopes Jack In The Box is on Disney+. J Hope also closed out Lollapallozza as the headliner. Usually the last show on Sunday has dropped attendance as everyone is headed home but it was packed and set the record for an artist there. Jin did a solo song written by Chris Martin from Coldplay and flew to Argentina to perform it live with Coldplay before he started his mandatory military service (they are all in the military right now). Jungkook just released and all English album that’s going crazy; had collabs with Latto, Jack Harlow and then with his ‘Standing Next To You’ hit did a remake with Usher. RM put out a wonderful album and has a great song with called Still Life with Andersen Paak (and Flowerworks is stunning). V tore our hearts out with his blues/jazz album about going through a breakup, and Jimin has two solo songs that are amazing too.
They are great together. They are great solo. And they are just good people. We love them, because (as you’ll find out), they expose so much of themselves to us that we don’t have to love our idea of who they might be; we love them for who they are. Kooky, crazy, sweet, compassionate brothers. All seven are just amazing in their own ways.

Right now they are all serving their required military terms and most of not all have received some type of recognition for outstanding performance during training and/or early promotions within their respective units. (Rumors abound but I trust the information the guys themselves & their close family members post). They have grown into a real, close-knit family.

There is a good background video that gives a sense of how deep their discography goes and their evolution musically from Rice Squad, "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2023 Update!)". Be sure to select the version that has (2030 Update).
It gives a brief history of K-pop , how Big Hit started, how BTS came to be, and their evolution from Hip Hop to IDOL using the chrono of their album releases to take you from their beginnings pre debut to around August 2022. It also gives you the sense of the very tactical evolution of their sound over the years up to that point in time.

What is so amazing is that celebrities all over the world fan over BTS hardcore. When celebs meet them they instantly fall for them. BTS members are so humble and let everyone around them shine too. BTS member V, Kim Taehyung, often plays unknown or non label artist’s music on SM and there music will instantly get more streaming and plays. Most of these artist thank him and he even made a song, “WHEREVER UR”, with independent artist UMI right before he joined Korean Military Special forces. It’s his first collaboration as a soloist. The man has countless offers for collabs but he chose her. (The story about the collab is also very interesting and organic.) He did it for his genuine love of music and not a paycheck. That is just one example of their humbleness and there love for the art. ✌️🫶💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Let me elaborate some more and probably shock you a little about the greatness of these guys 😅:
    - They sell out all the world's biggest stadiums in about an hour and a half. Multiple nights each place.
    - If you're not a fan club member you're practically out of the running since tickets are available to members first and they always sell out then and there.
    - The most expensive re-sold tickets went for $40,000. 🤯
    - A single concert of theirs brought as many foreigners to the country as the entire Olympics.
    - 400,000 people attended their 10 year anniversary celebrations fireworks show in Seoul and that was "only" a show to their music and not a concert.
    - They, not their entire company but they alone, account for 0.4% of the South Korean GDP.
    - They held four concerts over two weekends in Las Vegas and the entire city re-named itself Borahaegas for that week. The instantly sold out concerts were all held simultaneously in two locations: Allegiant Stadium (65,000) and a live-play screen show with all the same practical effects, just not the members on the stage, at MGM Grand Garden Arena (17,000). There were BTS themed hotel rooms, water fountain shows, exhibitions, pop-up shops and restaurant menus and many signs were changed to purple lights. Google Borahaegas - the pictures are stunning! (I've never wanted to be somewhere so bad in my entire life! 😭)
    - When they held a free concert in Busan in 2022 including free streaming we "broke" 3 huge international servers with our 50 million log-ons. 😂
(But yeah, if they come to Europe again I'm totally trying to get tickets anyway! 😄👍)
    - a danish ARMY, age 48 💜

RM has the position of leader in the group. A leader in a KPop group is more like a team captain as a Westernised idea. He acts as liaison between the group and the company, and he guides and motivates the members, resolving conflicts and making sure they are all on the same page. He was the most prolific writer in the group, but all members write. His other role is main rapper. Main is like the top rank so his background and specific skill he brings to the group is rap. It does NOT mean that he can't sing and dance too, but it is where his heart lies. Suga had a similar start to RM as an underground rapper in a different region of S Korea. Although he writes too, he was more prolific as a producer and holds both roles, main rapper and producer.
KPop is an entertainment industry, not just a record label. The company will hold auditions and take on 25 to 30 trainees for a new group. Over the weeks they get eliminated if they are not meeting the rigorous training programme. The training involves rap, vocals, acting, dancing, languages, etc, everything needed to perform as a KPop idol. Usually training is 2-5 years with absolutely no idea if or when you will debut. Oh yeah, they also do school in this time too. Not easy!

3:55 That clip of them on the street was from a reality show they did the LA called American Hustle Life in 2014....at that point they had already been out (debuted) for 1 year. They didn't necessarily need to be out on the street handing out flyers, think it was just a stunt the producers came up with - the show they were promoting had already been written about in Billboard mag and there were fans line-up outside the club all day and some had to be turned away. 2013/14 they had also already one 5 rookie of the year awards.

    Just a little pronunciation assistance.
SUGA - same as you would pronounce Sugar but without the R. He chose the name because his favourite Basket ball position is Shooting Guard - SUGA
AgustD is his name SUGA spelled backwards - AGUS and the 'TD' is where he is from, a 'Town' called 'Daegu' - He uses this stage name for his solo releases.
BUT his actual birth name is 'Min Yoongi', so you will also here people refer to him as 'Yoongi' too.
    Same with RM.
RM used to stand for 'Rap Monster' in his younger days, but he out grew the name & he said 'RM' now stands for the 'Real Me'.
RM's birth name is 'Kim Namjoon' and many ARMY refer to him as Namjoon or Jooni etc..
**Korean names are pronounced with their family name first, then the first name. So KIM is the family name & NAMJOON is his first name. same goes for SUGA above.

I just found you right now. And yes. You have NO idea what you have found. You are very intuitive. Not only can these guys sing and dance and write their own music, but they also are the nicest, loving, caring, and compassionate human beings. No egos. Very humble. They are NOT the typical KPop group. As mentioned, they sing and perform all genres. Right now they're are all serving mandatory service time in the military in South Korea. They entered at staggered times, so they were all able to do solo albums and performances. Completely new to them as they have all been together for over 10 years. Their solo work proves how each member is individually so very talented. But they can't wait to get back together at the end of 2025. And surge ahead as BTS again. Just so you know....many people in the world still don't know about BTS. So we welcome any and all newbies. I subscribed hoping you'll focus on BTS and do a Deep Dive into their world. And yes, their boss, Mr. Bang, is a marketing genius. They've had their own TV show, "RunBTS" for years. They compete, play games, cook, go on adventures, and have so much fun with all the variety they share. What you don't know. They all can be so funny and crazy and goofy and hilarious. When you saw them in those suits, you saw their professional side. But they are down to earth and literally have become brothers and family to each other. They worked 360 days a year. No weekends or holidays off. No time for family or friends or dating. They sacrificed their youth for their fame. But they had NO idea they would get this big. It still amazes them. So enjoy slowly watching their MV's and 10 years of work. Their fans are called Army. Maybe one day you can join us and call yourself Army. It will take time. But it's worth it. Welcome.

The only reason why anyone has said why they haven’t heard about them is cause they grew organically with the help from their dedicated fan base western radios don’t play non English songs anyways and ain’t no way BTS paying them to play their songs. I would never have checked them out if it haven’t been for their hit English singles. Not hearing about them isn’t supposed to be an insult to them or to yourself because you find them when you need them.
