Dear twoset, if you guys are reading this, i have been watching your videos since your first world tour era. In fact, I saw your busking in queen st. when I was living in brisbane. I was rushing my way to adelide st when I saw a group of people playing violin, later I found that the people turned out to be you guys that I started to watch your videos ever since. You have been doing so well for the past 11 years and I can’t applaud you more. You guys more or less have changed the way people look at classical music in this generation, bringing a new representation that classical music can be fun, relatable, and entertaining. You have influenced and inspired a lot of people to get in touch deeper with classical music, as well as become a figure that a lot of young musicians can deeply connect with. The roasting videos and charades videos are always my favorite! I will always remember that iconic backdrop of the white wall with some touch of black lol. Thank you for all you have done and wish you all the best in whatever you do next! xo

Please put back your other videos!! They brought and still continue to bring us so much joy and laughs! They brought me through the pandemic and when I was just starting to learn music. Please, I understand that you guys might want to leave and I totally respect that, but could you please leave the videos that are so amazing, hilarious and inspiring?
I've been watching your videos since the pandemic and now you're telling me this is over... I can't believe it guys. My heart is broken 😭. You, the channel and this community mean so much to me. I'm not ready to say goodbye.
Dear Two Set, please repost some of the classics. I teach in the City of Philadelphia, and your "Never Miss a Day of Practice" is so valuable every year for my teaching. It's a new video for every young child coming up through the ranks. Please, please keep the old teaching videos! I can understand that you need to follow your own path, but you have been such an inspiration to everyone! Just as great recordings can inspire, so too can your great videos.
I may have to remake the "Never Miss a Day" video. I tell the kids they only need to practice on the days they eat. I do have my own teaching channel, which is under my name, Ardath Belzer. It's primarily for my students. I'm committed to teaching kids through the Philadelphia School District Program in groups who do not have access to private lessons. They can audition later for a program through Settlement Music School, Temple, or the Philadelphia Orchestra for private lessons. I teach the good basics to get them on their way. This commitment takes a great deal of time, so I loved finding other videos to help me achieve my goal of inspiring kids.
As a Lutheran musician, you absolutely have to check out his Passions and the cantatas. Obviously being familiar with the religious background and context is helpful, but even without that, they are deeply moving pieces. Bach the GOAT! SDG
I'm not religious at all and not musically knowledgeable, but his Mass in b minor is sublime. And the Chaconne leaves me speechless and in tears... Every time I listen to it.
As a former Lutheran who is still a lover of liturgical music, AGREE. I keep stumbling on movements of his cantatas I've never noticed before and they're always delightful.
Actually I missed the mentioning of recites in the video. While the aria might explore one affetto in its shades, the phrases in the recites change the affetto constantly. Not only where tonalities connected to certain moods (like A major to love) but also intervals (small third up - moaning etc.)
Thanks to 2 set,I finally learned some sociology, in the hard way, that parasocial heartbreak is a real heartbreak. It can hurt so deeply. For many years, time with 2set was like a fairy tale, too good to be true. They're like our Asian moms and big brothers . They care if we practice enough, lose our interests in classical music etc, etc. They share stories about music school and the orchestra. We even stuck together during the lockdown in the pandemic.... Just 2 weeks before your short goodbye announcement, I saw you at the talk in HKU. Then all of a sudden, you vanished into thin air, and so were most of the videos. I cannot think of a compelling reason why you can't do a proper farewell video. You have shared when either of you fell ill before. If some legal or personal issue is involved, I think you can still do a proper farewell video without touching on those issues. A proper closure is healthy to all. It would be lovely to be reminded of the core values of this channel: Stay passionate about classical music and keep practicing. Oh, I still feel so sad, a whole host of feelings actually....
Bro you guys are the reason I started playing violin , got to know about classical music, discovered my own taste in music , fell in love with ravel , all of this started in 2020 for me when I was 14 and now even I can't stop watching your Videos . Please don't love leave 😭
I hope that your last video is about Bach, because you guys will be back ❤ Social media is a blessing and a curse at the same time. For creators, it's a blessing because one day you decide you're done with it, turn it off with one button and you're offline. For us as fans it's a curse, because one day you decide to stop it, turn everything off with one button and go offline. For me it was one of the most valuable RUclips channels and I also think that after years of watching we know you too well to believe in such a disappearance without a word of explanation. I sincerely hope this is part of a larger project. Wish the day will come when your videos will be available to watch again.
Your videos helped me through music school to keep up with practicing. You helped me through weeks of sleepless nights after my back injury. You continue to me my absolute comfort RUclipsrs and I regularly come back to watch your videos all the time. Just the other day I made a new friend because I saw them wearing a Vivaldi seasons hoodie. I have been waiting for years to get out of my financial situation to finally buy all the merch I can. Please let this just be a rebrand, and not gone forever
When you ask non classical musicians who their favorite composer is, they always say either Beethoven or Mozart. but when you ask a classical musician audience, the majority say Bach. He was GOAT
@@andredelacerdasantos4439 I think that it's pretty well established that Handel was Beethoven's favourite composer. There are several quotes from Beethoven to this effect.
@@nickrr5234Yes, he was, but Ludwig rediscovered Bach in his later years, and this restarted his commitment to composing after the bad period in the middle of the 1810s. Most of his later works are deeply influenced by Bach, for example, late piano sonatas including Hammerklavier with a great fugue in the last movement, Missa Solemnis (this one is greatly influenced by both Bach and Handel), late string quartets, and even in the Ninth Symphony, there are a few absolutely sublime fugues. So when Ludwig wanted to dive deeper into music, J.S. Bach was his guiding light.
The thing I love and respect about Bach the most was that he always stayed true to himself. He didn't mindlessly follow fashion, he had a passion, a drive and he chased it relentlessly. Also that for him tonality, simplicity and structure weren't limiting, but limitless. He blows my mind every time I listen to one of his pieces. Kinda like Rembrandt but in music.
For how great Bach is, he was almost completely forgotten. It was Mendelssohn who revived the public knowledge of Bach with the Brandenburg Concertos and the Mass in B minor. I guess that shows the power of the Classical trend. It took a romantic to rediscover this genius of a composer. By the way, the Passions are some of the best music ever written. It's a great thing to listen to them during the Passover hollidays..
I think that's *somewhat* exaggerated. All the great classical era composers were fans of JS Bach even if they were more influenced by his sons. Mozart and Beethoven both chose to incorporate complex fugues in their late work as a direct response to studying more of JS. It's more accurate to say that before Mendelssohn, JS Bach was not widely known by the lay public but that professional composers always held him in high esteem and he was well known by insiders.
@@dialecticsjunkie7653 That's what I meant with "public knowledge of Bach". Evidently his works were studied by composers, but hardly ever played to the public. But thanks for the reiteration.
@@dialecticsjunkie7653 You're right, but what is also important to note is most of his music was unpublished. Very little of his music was known to Beethoven or even Mozart. Basically only the Well tempered Clavier and a couple of other pieces were known to them. The Passions, the Mass in B minor, the Brandenburg concertos, and hundreds of other pieces were forgotten. I'm not even sure the violin and cello suites were known to Mozart. Note that Beethoven also held in very high esteem Haendel. Obviously he had had access to more music by Haendel than by Bach.
Hi I just wanted to say that I really liked the videos of you guys and enjoyed watching you two give valuable critique of violin playing, doing duets, concertos, battles with davie, etc. Your channel was one of my favourites, especially since I really love listening to classical music. That being said, I am in a state of utter confusion and sadness regarding your departure as a team, and I believe the same sentiments are shared by many of your other fans. Perhaps you owe no explanation to your fans regarding your sudden exit, however, as someone who has been watching your channel for several years, it feels a sense of emptiness and distaste with no closure, particularly after the majority of the videos also became inaccessible. Anyway, I wish you both good luck with your future ventures.

You say that baroque music isn't as popular as romantic music, but I have a very different experience: i live in the south of France in the country side, but there's still lots of music events happening all around. I've noticed in the last years that there's so much baroque. So many baroque only concerts, baroque choirs and ensembles that pop up, never have I ever heard as much harpsichord, viola da Gamba, recorder, organ playing as in the last few years. Many musicians I know simply prefer baroque music over any other music. I brought this up with a friend, and they said "it's normal: in this society of uncertainty and stress, baroque music has the ability to calm and bring peace to our souls" and who knows, I won't underestimate the power of music! So maybe I'm biased, but I feel like baroque music is everywhere, to the point where I really miss performing romantic and modern music actually :)
its happening in instrumental electronic music too, calming styles like liquid dnb are big. the real world is stressful enough, we want music to give us an escape rather than remind us

i’m still in disbelief and shock that this is their goodbye to us and i will never ever stop loving them for changing my life and many others too. We will miss you both so much. best of luck and love from your fans (and we really hope this is a prank). best of luck to you guys ❤️
Way over 3/4 of the videos, there were over 1,000. Now there are only 29. It's like they hand picked videos to keep up. Maybe there's something about them that they left them.
Dude what just happen when I wanna see twosetviolin and then I realize there’s only 29 videos.
Thank you for all you have done and wish you all the best in whatever you do next! xo

If this really is the end, I just want to thank twoset for so much. I started violin because of you guys and got better because of them. My violin journey is not over yet. I really just hope for the best for them❤
I am thankful for all their work on RUclips. However, I sincerely hope this is not a prank because it is causing a lot of people a lot of anxiety.
PLEASE DON'T DELETE ALL YOUR VIDEOS! WE NEED THOSE!!!
You guys were the face of youth in the classical music community, inspired MILLIONS of people to begin lessons, continue lessons, become interested in classical music where they otherwise wouldn't have, inspired composers, fan artists, and bringing people out of depression and you're going to throw that away?! Not even leave your videos that took hours to film and edit, and brought joy to millions of people?! And so many collaborations with notable respectable musicians who now cannot trust you. Dear TwoSet,
You might not know me, but I'd like to say that you've been a heavy inspiration for me and were the main reason why I took to violin after years of stopping. You rekindled my love for the instrument and classical music, and now I'm striving to minor in music. Through your videos, I also met and connected with the love of my life! We are hoping that future generations (including our children) would be able to watch each of your posts. You changed many peoples' lives with your content. I would simply like to request that you would please keep all your timeless videos on your platform. ❤️ I truly hope that you will consider. Many thanks and gratitute for your work! I'm keenly looking forward to even more musicians to say the same in the coming years.
I’m heartbroken. 😢 No words to describe the sadness. It’s like being told someone you are friends with just disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle and will never be seen again.
Just as great recordings can inspire, so too can your great videos.
do your own
I may have to remake the "Never Miss a Day" video.
@@ardathbelzer9891 I subscribed to you! You can do it!
As a Lutheran musician, you absolutely have to check out his Passions and the cantatas. Obviously being familiar with the religious background and context is helpful, but even without that, they are deeply moving pieces. Bach the GOAT! SDG
As a fellow Protestant musician, I second this! I get to play the Ein feste Burg cantata (BWV 80) next week, so excited! JJ - SDG
Someone somewhere referred to the cantatas as The Fifth Gospel. I agree with your comment.
Thank you! Always appreciated this kind of geeky and deep-diving videos about classical music! They are so fun to watch.

When you ask non classical musicians who their favorite composer is, they always say either Beethoven or Mozart. but when you ask a classical musician audience, the majority say Bach. He was GOAT
Beethoven is great but even he knew Bach was on another level
But eg. Pat Metheny and Sting love Bach and Ben Eunson is doing a series on Bach which aligns with what Brett and Eddy said @10:35
@@andredelacerdasantos4439 I think that it's pretty well established that Handel was Beethoven's favourite composer. There are several quotes from Beethoven to this effect.
@nickrr5234
Handel was also the GOAT
I’m always confused if Mendelssohn is classical or romantic

So maybe I'm biased, but I feel like baroque music is everywhere, to the point where I really miss performing romantic and modern music actually :)
really?! wish that was true where i live. it's mostly classical/romantic here
@@oxoelfoxo where's "here"? Just come to the southwest of France haha ;)
Yes, the HIP movement made baroque music more fun and appealing. Europe is blessed with many wonderful HIP performers.
its happening in instrumental electronic music too, calming styles like liquid dnb are big. the real world is stressful enough, we want music to give us an escape rather than remind us
Baroque to early Classical/Gallant music ranks as my favorite type of music.
