So far the best cockpit video I've seen, you guys look so relaxed!!!My mind takes a loop with me in turbulence,by watching this film many times I will get away off the fear from turbulence Thanks!!!!
wow this is fascinating to see it from their angle. like someone said below, we are in the back praying & gripping the armchairs (or in my case, my husbands leg) trying to breathe.
I used to be afraid when an aircraft encountered turbulence Back in the days when you were able to, l got a visit to the flight deck of our holiday jet while we descended to the airport. After watching the pilots fly the plane and seeing it from up front, l was never afraid of turbulence again. I think it’s often the unknown that people are afraid of.
That's really encouraging. Perhaps I should suggest this to my friends. BTW, did you mean to use the "l" instead of the "i" for your convenience? I did notice the "I" in the last sentence. Thank you very much. I mention this, because I use text-to-speech software, as I'm totally blind, and it knows the difference. Gotta love technology now; don't you?
@@heatherstub Hi there as far as l know, l only used l and not i Unfortunately you can't get aircraft flight deck visits any more so you won't be able to do what l did. But you might suggest to your friend that they take a flight in a smaller aircraft which might help to make them feel better about flying.
@@victoriam.7332 Actually, both optic nerves are no longer even there. I've also had both eyes removed because of acute glaucoma. Now, I know I'll see in the next life, as Christ will restore everything to its perfect state.
(LOVE those sheep-skin seat covers, they make flying so much more comfortable.) I don't mind turbulence if it isn't too bad, but one time, I hit a down-draft that made me hit my head on top of the cockpit and I was buckled pretty good! (They didn't have shoulder harnesses in cars or aircraft way back then.) It did scare me, but I maintained control of the aircraft and just hoped it would never happen again! Most pilots will try to steer clear of storms, but you can't always see turbulent areas!
To say that pilots just sit there and let the automation do the flying is just untrue. Pilots use their brain to fly the airplane, not the computer. They interpret the weather scenarios, calculate the fuel burn, man the radios and, ultimately, make command decisions.
Gabriel Cox Photography yep, and sometimes if they know there will be bad weather ahead (as in a thunderstorm) they can deviate up to a few hundred miles to stay safe! 😉✈️
Didn't look like much turbulence to me and the weather was fine for flying. You always get a few minor bumps when you fly into clouds. In the beginning, they were flying near the cloud tops and you frequently experience some "light chop" in that situation.
They are flying IFR (Instrument Flight Rules); separation between them and other aircraft is maintained by a controller at a control tower; If they go up or down just to avoid a cloud, they might end up colliding with other aircraft; If they need to change altitude they would ask the controller, and the controller may approve or disapprove such change in altitude.
To me, this is one of the most difficult things to do... i can t even pass a drive test since some months... wish me luck next time! Gosh! Respect ! 🙏🏽💪🏽
Actually he has all his senses tuned in, he is monitoring the engines to check for any abnormalities, he is also monitoring the speeds on both his displays and the captains displays to make sure that they match and all systems are operating normally. He also monitors the speed to make the callouts (v1,vr,v2). In this video he appears to be doing that so there is nothing to worry about. He is also doing ATC communications which alleviates the pilot flying.
It's not until you see the view from up front that you realise how ridiculously fast those things are caning it down a (comparatively) tiny little strip of Asphalt; as a very frequent flyer for 25 years I still find the fact that those things actually get off the ground pretty staggering; PHYSICS! I particularly like the dodgy '70s sheepskin seat cover there....
If you notice at 9:55 the captain says "que fue esa luz?" This means, What was that light? I cant tell what the co-pilot says but the pilot asks him twice what is that light? Then a few seconds later the warning comes on again, and he says "Porque sera?" Which means "Why is that?" I am just curious as to what could be the cause of this.
Indeed, it's because of the camera. It has to to with the Hertz-frequency the screen is working with. Same effect like looking at the cap of a tyre when it's at quite some speed.
The instruments don't actually flash like that. What you're seeing is an effect that happens because the camera is taking lots of quick pictures. It's kind of a strobe effect.
great flight, sheepskin seats for the win was alaughed at having sheepskin seat covers in my gun truck in Afghanistan but I was the one always transporting e VIPs on missions..
No doubt. That's a Bombardier. I recognize the sound of those engines and that distinctive humming sound. Definitely not a 777, because that hum is lower in idle.

That co-pilot was a bit too relaxed shortly before rotation. messing around with some papers and talking way too much! And he didn't fasten his safety harness after returning from wherever he was! The captain should have pointed this out to him.

Hi, what was that amber light right before touch down ? You can hear the captain asking about it to the first officer.

no i mean the have a lots a lives in the their hands. when flying
Yup, definitely.
It's for sure because of the 6 CRT Screens in a Row.
Fantastic!!! What airline was this? where did they leave from, where did they land?
Thanks for your videos
CRJ, the windows and config of flight instruments is that of CRJ. Also, cockpit is too close to ground to be 767 or 777.
I don't see the same blink, but it was most likely the Master Caution informing the pilot he disabled Autopilot.

The refresh rate on the monitors/instruments (FPS- frames per second) is different than the camera's recording rate. It causes a "phasing" affect.
