A Kru Kai Kaew statue five metres (16ft) tall was installed outside the four-star Bazaar Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on August 9, 2023. The gargoyle-like statue has stirred controversy and triggered calls for its removal. Bangkok authorities have ordered an investigation into what part was responsible for installing the statue, which the hotel denies and instead blames on another group that rented the land.

I tried to look into what you are talking about. The latest statue I see on the internet is some horse. It's blue. Its5 from 2020.
With the gargoyle, I just see stuff from around 6 years ago talking about it.
I wonder if they are praying to the demon because its places next to a Shiva statue (the gold in the back) so maybe it gives the illusion that its a legitimate deity. It seems like sprirituality among faith systems in more eastern religions tends to be more fluid and less orthodox.

0.20 the left side of the man above the green banner shows that you the gold idol of what seems to be Bramha or some other deity i don't know. Behind the Gold idol, we can see a shrine design. My friend is the Khmer architecture style of a blind door side of a temple. The pediments, lentiel, door frame and more are khmer styled temple architecture. Use another style like a stupa style or something. Don't keep saying Khmer copied Thailand if Thailand copied khmer instead.
