HAHAHHAHA... I'm still laughing from the ending! I love your book Natasha....so many great recipes! SHARKY AT 00:13 AND 04:56. As a kid growing up, there was a neighborhood lady from Czechoslavakia who made ginger molassas cookies, that are similar to these, but instead of icing them, we would roll them in granulated sugar about the size of a walnut and bake them. They were my favorite cookies ever. I'm going to try this recipe, but I'm sure for old time's sake there will be some from the Old Country made too.

@Natashaskitchen you know the best part about your recipes is that the ingredients' measurements are so very appropriate. They tasted so good and baked to perfection 👌 my teenage daughter never eats ginger bread cookies , and once I baked them she couldn't stop munching on them.
Im just in the proccess of making this recipe, mine is in the fridge cooling down. She is not kidding when she says the mixture is wet and sticky mine was hard to handle even with lots of flour on the work surface. I ended up putting it back in the mixing bowl and adding just a little flour to the mixture made it a little easier to handle, hope i havent ruined it. I guess we will see. Smells absalutely amazing. Cant wait to try them. 😊 thanks for the recipe
@@chrisbrownlov1 you wont be disappointed they are absalutely lovely, dangerously moreish. I was worried because the mix came out very wet and hard to handle so I added more flour to make it easier to handle. Once the dough has been in the fridge for an hour it's perfect for rolling and cutting. Trust the process, and you will need quite a bit of flour duing the handling and rolling. But they are perfect not too gingery the perfect combination of spices, tastes and flavours. The cookie itself like advertised crunchy on the out side softer in the middle. Not too hard. Perfect. I'm definitely adding theese to my regular Christmas tradition. I think you will be very pleased with them. I was. 😋 your family and friends will absalutely love them and be fighting over them, that's if you decide to share them and not keep them all for yourself. Lol

So my best friend for the last 25 years she makes gingerbread dough every year at Christmas and it is one of the most favorite gifts that I get is. She sent me from Tennessee to Texas gingerbread men now she doesn’t decorate hers that she males anyway like you do she just gives them raisin eyes and lots of love when she packs them And send them on their way to special people. Now once she’s done doing that they take their Christmas though that’s leftover after making cookies and of course she’s made three or four batches of this dough, they make their own homemade gingerbread houses and have a contest come up with some pretty coollooking homes and people anyway just wanted to share. I love the gingerbread.
