Very nice video. Now i have a challenge for you. Try re-trofitting a m54b30 intake manifold to your M3 and see the results. I have done it with a e36 motor, but into a e46 chassis. in my case the m54b30 intake was way better than the m50 intake. Only thing is that i lost the ICV because m54 controls idle to matching idle ports on the head, and since my head is from an m50 non vanos it doesn't have the ports.
I think it's a lot more effort then it's worth. But for the icv you could always tap a hole to screw on a big barb fitting for an icv
You can hold the rpm and load up the engine by left-foot braking to hit the cells you need.
Yes and no, the advantage of a dyno is you can hold a specific load point and change timing on the fly to see what makes the best torque
Will this apply to upgrading from a m52tu to an m54 manifold? (323 -> 325) I've heard the only difference between them are intake, headers and tune with the m54 giving the same torque and 22 more hp.
The double vanos will help with low end torque for sure, but 22hp is asking a lot on an NA setup. I know a lot of M54 guys will swap to an M50 manifold but not sure on the exact gains. The biggest thing is you will need to port match your head to take full advantage of the swap

Just the VE table, I let the autotune take care of the airflow changes. Worked great with a quick 30min drive

what kind of throttle do you have?
Stock s52 with the traction control throttle removed
