    Great stuff guys! 😉Thanks for giving a quick tour of the island, planning to visit Maldives and that sunset is such a beauty. I also enjoy getting lost and visiting places that are not touristy to really get a glimpse of how the locals live and your video just gave that.. awesome! Cheers from the Philippines😉

    Maafushi is great for an insight into a public island in Maldives. Stayed at Arena in September 2019. A few mths later, we made our booking for Kaani Grand and were all set and packed to go again in March 2020 and then the borders closed just 1 day before we were supposed to fly out.
    Now Maldives just opened again for VTL for our country and we are planning to finish what we started…. Cant wait !

      Indeed you are right, its a good mixture of local life and tourism in Maldives.
      Go ahead and enjoy your trip.

      Hi, would you by any chance mind talking about what the weather was. I am thinking about going this September but am unsure if the rainy season is too much of a gamble weather wise.

      Well we stayed there during December and it was good. Can't tell you about September myself, but our friend Nora here might give us some inputs.

      @@nailadelalic3669 when we were there in September 2019, it was not a rainy season at all. All hot and sunny. We enjoyed the excursions, it wasn’t the peak period so there wasn’t a huge crowd of tourists everywhere. Btw, just an update, we revisited Maafushi in May 2022. It rained quite a bit such that for one of the snorkeling excursions, we had to cut short and missed the sand bar lunch break. But overall, still a lovely week- long getaway.

    why the sea water here is not transparent like the photos of Maldives ? is the transparency in a certain regions ?

    • @LifeTracksandHacks
      @LifeTracksandHacks  3 года назад +1

      The water has a blueish hue in this parts, due to alge maybe. But otherwise it is mostly clear .
      And moreover it is a public island, whereas a majority of the photos of Maldives are of the private islands.
      The eastern beaches of maafushi has some sea weed floating at places. The western beaches esp. The bikini beach is much cleaner

    Is the football ground or mini ground accessible to tourists? If yes, is it free of cost?

    • @LifeTracksandHacks
      @LifeTracksandHacks  2 года назад

      Well the entrance to the mini football field was locked when we went, and I think it might be reserved only for the local community, but I am not sure. You might contact the local authorities for access to the place.
      And the main playground was open during the afternoon on one ocassion when we visited. And there were locals playing soccer. I guess they will allow tourists to join them in their game if one wants to play
