Yours is the best clip in YT of this fight !!! 👍
@@nochistar Thanks.
Is it available on any streaming platform with this resolution quality as well?
It's epic.
@@Deleted-uu4km No, because I made this myself. I make and remastered films myself. I'm not waiting for it to be officially released.
@@moviesandpopcorn2958 Do you by any chance have the entire movie remastered? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
the Fury's strategy of sticking to baseball rules (1 batter at a time) needs revising😅😅😅
Why? It trained an entire army of gunmen and foot soldiers exactly how to go after, and not kill, John Wick. LOL
I like to think it was a matter of honor to give fewer opponents a chance
Well remember the figured they were wimps at the end ;)
@@juanaltredo2974they where the nicest gang in the movie
@@campisimikeone or maybe some in the baseball gang became soldiers and marines
45 years ago I saw this film in the theater with about 12 of my closest friends. I was 15 years old. And, when the movie was over, we were all still excited and amped up, so we all went to the subway station and we all hopped the turnstiles like the guys in the movie did. A dear friend of mine was in this film. My buddy, Apache Ramos, played one of the "Orphans." In fact, Apache made me an honorary Orphan after he became Warlord of the gang. Man, 45 years ago and this movie still stands as one of the best movies of all time!
You know Apache? I’m friends with him on Facebook. He’s a great guy.
@CBiggs-vz9be That's nice! Yes, he's my friend. I've known him for many years. He's a good man.
He was the Hispanic Orphan who said "We're gonna RAIN on you Warriors!!" wasn't he? I spoke with him on the comments sections for some videos of the video game. Like CBiggs said, he is indeed a cool dude.
@@WonkyTonkBotty That’s him, the one with the epic afro.
totally agreed...for a movie that only cost 1 - 2 million dollars at the time it made over 22 mil world wide.
I was 18yrs old in in the bronx, living with my brother and mother.... Mom worked 2 jobs, my brother worked and i worked part time...The gangs in those days wore their colours proudly and you knew which turf you were in and how to behave...sometimes there was a toll and you paid it to the locals......
love how the toughest warrior in the group hangs back to protect the weakest member of his gang....urging him on to keep running....but when the time comes, is ready for combat ...all or nothing!! such good writing and camera work...
it was tough back then, no social funding for moms like mine or us kids, we had to be tough...it paid off now that im in my 60's, retired and successful.
Greatest baseball movie of all time.
Lmaoo
Best comment.
Have you watched Moneyball - starring Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt !?!?
The running, the music, the intensity, I’ve just never seen a chase scene as GOOD as the warriors, it’s insane no matter how many times I’ve watched, this is yet to BE topped it seems. Truly a masterpiece that comes only once in a lifetime, grateful I grew up with this because of my father.
It's really depressing that you don't see that kind of style in movies anymore.
All through high school my dad and I would watch movies at night after my mom went to bed. We'd watch anything: high-brow dramas, horror schlock, sci-fi both good and bad, and pretty much everything Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Seagal or Van Damme made from 1985 to 1997. The ones I remember best, though, were the ones my dad had seen years earlier and couldn't wait to share with me. "The Thing," "Aliens," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Deliverance." Director Walter Hill clocked in heavy on movie nights. Dad and I watched "Hard Times," "48 Hrs," "Crossroads," "Red Heat" (also a Schwarzenegger), "Another 48 Hours," "The Long Riders," and of course, "The Warriors," the best of the bunch.
@palmerlp your dad knew his movies❤
@@palmerlp Do you know _Southern Comfort_ ? That's another classic I stumbled on one night as a kid.
@@zacharyskellington5356the politics in movies now is insane. Everything has become so progressive and politically correct. Less story, writing and more of pushing a narrative and agenda in your face.
I lived 6 blocks away from where this was filmed so 9 out of 10 times if I was alone coming out of the 72nd Street station would put on my headphones to this
Then sprint down to Central Park on 71st pretending i was a Warrior.
Never let yourself get too old to have fun
There's always one .
Brooo thats sounds so fun lol
Hell yeah I would do the same too!
@thehurricane9994 it really is. I'm not in NYC anymore but went back a few months ago just to do my Warriors jog
I look like an athletic normal guy but once the music plays in my ears, I'm there
@@thegadflygang5381 hell yeah bro!
Anytime you hear that kind of music in your life you know shits hitting the fan.
The soundtrack of this movie is unreal. Just like the movie.
This is my favorite scene from the film. The Baseball Furies are AMAZING. And the music just makes this scene even better
My favorite, too. 👍👍
I also love their video game, growing up with it in high school was REALLY fun at that time for me!
They did look AMAZING but, good LOrd they fought like li'l school girls. Baseball Fuzzies more like it. Just watched this movie, again the other day. One of my all time favorites.
@Wolf-qh2lk
That's good to hear. 👍👍
Tell me: did you also play the game right after watching the movie?
Same here. I commented elsewhere but if I saw your comment, I would have joined this thread.
The fight in the subway bathroom is the best.
I love how every gang has a costume.
Being born in the 70's ,
Is a BLESSING!
"GEN 'X ERA 1965- 1979 ❤"
Baste
I've seen some sites list Gen X as 1965-1982. I was born in '79 so I feel confident in my non-millenial ways😁
Midnight movies, when the ticket counters didn't care how old you were, and the popcorn and sodas we cheap AF.
And when drinking age was 18
And when good women where everywhere
That's what I call masterpiece of movie, absolutely legendary!
The fact that the Baseball Furies operated without any dialogue is what made them the standout gang in this film. If you’re seeing them in uniformed numbers with their face paint and bats in hand, you already know what time it is.
The way they run is magical
One of the very best movie ever made , so good ,so intense ,I can't understand why this movie did not get more recognition
I remember that it was broadcast on TV, and I didn't see it yet, I had recorded it. Next day in school, it was the talk of the town.
@@eluberimabib4070 I had preview, a pay T.V. service in 1980. and this was on one month and even at 18 years old I could see the movie was childish.
It's almost a comedy it's so bad. What gang dresses in costume ?
Terrible fight scenes, bad acting and over the top corn.
@@47tooter you must be fun at parties
@@47tooterNot sure what you're talking about. My gang all wears roller skates and yellow mankininis. No one messes with the Rollakinis. We bad.
Ugh! All that running in Chuck Taylors. Makes my ankles hurt just thinking about it.
The cinematography was amazing
This was THE film to watch when I was a kid, Walter Hill was a terrific director, and around this time in a rich vein of form, Southern Comfort, and after the Warriors 48Hrs,.
So true the guy had such a powerful style.
@@imfpredicts Know anything about him? presume he's still around now. The Warriors was way ahead of its time.
Was there some kind of gentleman's code that prevented all of the baseball guys from jumping in at once?
They were afraid Ajax would, "...shove that bat up your --- , and turn into popsicle."
Was just thinking that
This is during a time where gangs actually respected the hierarchy systems they had in place and didn't have dumb little numbnuts going around trying to "prove" themselves.
I mean, all these gangs went to a meet up Unarmed because they were asked to. Cept for the Rogues. The rogues were a good example of wannabes running gangs.
But yeah, gangs of this day and age had respect for one another and each other's positions and ranks within the gang. Any disagreements and stuff within the gang was handled within the gang. They also respected each other's turf and didn't aimlessly step on another gangs turf just to start something. Rival gang leaders could actually meet up and discuss this sorta stuff diplomatically.
But nowadays, people shoot first, then ask questions
MLB rules, 1 batter per play😅
It was the 70’s and their tribe was more akin the Ancient Celts individuality than the modern romans with a mob pack attack... lol
The baseball furies were some straight up punks. Love this movie

@@michaeldriscoll8672 😅😅
Greatest film of all time in my opinion.
It's up there that's for sure.
Read into it..... it's based upon an ancient greek tale of soldiers outnumbered trying to make their way home.
Read the book mate, it's even better.
@@TradCatMan I will definitely do that! Thank you for the recommendation.
@@Ulfhednar-O one huge reason it's my favorite is because ever since I was a little kid, hearing that guitar come in for In The City would nearly brings me to tears. I would feel like I can't believe the movie is over. Like I want that moment when they're walking down the beach to never end. There is no other film that hits me as much as the ending to The Warriors. I will definitely look into the ancient Greek tale! Thank you for recommending it to me.
@@Will-helm 👍
Best Part. Baseball Furries, VS Swan, Ajax, & Snow. Music Is Awesome. Movie Is A CLASSIC.
One of the most intense and terrifying scenes in cinema!! Still gives me the chills.
Love how John Wick 4 played homage
How?
Yea how? Please
AYYEEEE JOHNNY !!! 😂🔥🔥🔥
Ajax, wiping out " whimps" since the 70's ( God luv ya James Remar).👍
For guys that fight with baseball bats, the Furies aren’t very good at fighting with baseball bats.
😂
The Warriors are just simply stronger and better
They should of brought more guys with them 4 vs 6 is pretty even fight for the warriors but in the game it's alot different
@@tgrazatos3740yet the furies are a pain in the ass In the game lol

The Warriors is one of my all-time favorite movies to watch along with James Cameron's Avatar when I was in high school, also loved playing the video game of the movie right after I watched it. 🎬👍👍🎮
This part never fails to make me feel exhausted. Pretty awesome honestly.
The most wonderful gang I've ever seen in my life
Warriors! what a freaking good movie!
I can still remember this cult film well. I wasn't even 20 when I saw the film in the cinema. Thank you for this Clip.
The original tension is finally here. The comic book effect before this scene sort of killed that shock moment somehow.
I can watch this movie once a day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
One of the most 80s movies that came out of the 70s.
the baseball FURRIES. I dont even want to imagine what they wanted to use that bat for
This scene is reminiscent to Danny Larusso being chased by Cobra Kai dressed in skeleton costumes on Halloween night
The only cringe part are the shots where you see members of the Furies waiting in the background while the others fight; like they are waiting their turn. Hahaha😅😅😅😅😅
Fun fact...Walter Hill, the director wanted a gang that incorporated two things he loved, baseball and the band, Kiss. Thus we have the Baseball Furies.
They have terrible team work but thankfully they were tougher in the game.
i know that’s always bothered me also! once i spotted them can never watch the fight without noticing it lol
They weren’t up at bat
or maybe they have fair 1 on 1's, considering they have weapons 😅 nowadays u just get jumped
Certainly one of the great scenes in history no doubt!
This a Top 10 of the best movie scenes in history. I could write a small novel on why all of this is so brilliant.
One of my bro and my favourite scenes of all time. Going to turn you into a popsicle lol 😂
Really? 😂
I still remember seeing this in the theater back in the day...
Thanks DAD!
One of the best movie I ever watched❤
bloody fantastic bit of the film and the music was good ❤
Music is great
OMG talk about memories I saw this when it first came out at a drive-in theater no less. When Vans we're cool and music was even cooler and life was a whole lot better.
One of my All time favorite movies. I still have the DVD and the video game.
I love this movie...
Just my Theory, Swan intentionally think they should run a little to exhaust The Furies, he knows they can't match furies Number, Strength, Stamina and Endurance, he knows Ajax strength and capabilities when he's on rage or in a mood for a fight, Snow efficiency in fight. When they Ajax finally confront the Furies you can see The Furies are exhausted and breathing heavily while Ajax, just chillin to raging and ready to shove that bat into his and turn him into popsicle
Now i know why Cleon chooses Swan over Ajax for the role of Warchief after him (I'm sorry can't edit my last comment)
You have never been in this kinda world u do what u can then u fight. This is just a movie not real life
@@R-ih8wvNo shite that's why the comment is about the movie.
"Dear Warriors, you rock. Especially when those guys were in the park. - thestickmanproject2527 - P.S. Do you know Mad Max?"
Yeah, and Ajax, for all that he gets frustrated at not being in charge, knows how that goes. When Cowboy started to run out of gas, Ajax checked to make sure then went for it, knowing that the pursuing Furies were likely not at full steam either. The man might have had a one-track brain, but he was the biggest physical threat in the roster.
That guy looks like Paul Stanley from Kiss
When you are racing with the devil you got to be fast as hell.
Thank you for your comment.
Classic film
i watched it in the 80s on vhs for the fist time. Ilove it ❤❤
the warriors best film ever in meiner jugendzeit
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best movie love the scene with the baseball furies.
Classic movie.
E la scena migliore di tutto il film peccato che non abbiano dato l'Oscar per la migliore scena
3:10 I remember watching this scene many years ago wondering "why are those spotlights up in the trees?"
Wow, what clarity and colour! Like it was filmed yesterday, not 45 years ago:
A brilliant moment when Ajax notices the Baseball Furies outside the station.
A movie that should never be remade!!!! Classic💯💯💯
Going to a kiss concert is one thing but to have them chase you with baseball bats would be terrifying!
Smart of Swan to run and exhaust the Furies before the initial fight in the park
Even as a kid watching this I knew it was next level cardio.
Somewhere in the Warriors universe there’s a gang of tailors making an absolute fortune..
I learned how to fight by watching this shit 😎
I learned how to play baseball by watching this 😊
lemme see your bat vs bat fighting skills. put a vid up.
Was on tv this morning. Hadn't seen this in 20+ years???? It ALL Came Rushing back to me.
Back in the day when this film came out I could run like these guys, now as an old dude I get out of breath just watching them. 😅
😁😂 getting old S....
Perfect soundtrack !
There’s just something about the way New York City looks and feels completely abandoned in this movie. You hardly ever see anyone who isn’t either a cop or a bopper.
we need a remake! the warriors
Love this movie 🎥🍿 a classic ❤
Man what a great movie loved it
absolute amazing movie comic books and the game very good
The best movie ever💪❤️

After playing the game and watching this feels great, might as well buy the warriors vest one day
These guys have great cardio
This movie is 50% fighting and 50% running, it's incredible.
The furys got so good running chops
Exelente película, la ví de adolescente y me gustó mucho, tengo 61 años, desde México 😊
Big and great movie. One of the best films ever.
I can't believe people say it's great ? it's so immature and stupid.
What gangs dress-up ? all the wimpiest gangs
I like the game tho but when I was a kid I didn't know it was a movie but masterpiece where THE WARRIORS 2
Husband just bouught this on the strength of one glance at this video. WOW. It's the first time I've ever agreed we need a copy of this in 4K UHD. I got him the album from Waxwork records for his birthday too.
“Swan… Ajax…Snow…Cleon and chocheez were the best fighters the rest held there ground…this movie was groundbreaking during that time a GOOD movie 🎥 without cgi but just straight up acting and the “Grammacy Riffs” were Feared they were the Tip Top of street justice the ending I always love and the song “ In the City” was perfect when they all walked a faded into obscurity NICE!!” 👍😁💪🏼👊🏻✊🏼
I didn't get the impression they "faded into obscurity", but had proved themselves as a powerful gang only second to the Riffs in NYC.
Suddenly, every one of them were cross country state finalists.
I remember this movie back in 1978
There will always be something terrifying about the Furies standing about in silence before they unleash the chase, even if the Warriors made quick work of them.
I would have been laughing hysterically! Even back when😅
You Warriors are good......real good!
Great music 🎶
Amazing how much of an advantage a bat is in a fight and it's wasted on these dudes
One of the best movies ever 🤟
Oh bro I bare love this movie and forever will completed the game several times
Can’t lie I gotta go and meet them before I die!
Swan is the smartest and i would have trusted him to get me back home
The song is on my workout playlist. Sometimes I play it at the end when l push hard to finish my run. Sometimes, I'll even play the video and run "with them". Lungs burn a little, legs are little tired, and it kinda sucks but I can either keep moving or risk an ass beating if I stop. So I better keep running. Great scene
The Furies are like Darth Maul that cant fight. Just shows up, face painted, silent and ready for battle
I’m reading Purple Fury: rumbling with the warriors. Really good read.
New York was really grimy and full of street gangs in 1979. Warriors came out right at that time
The game was even greater than the movie tbh
