    Aftermarket, parts, resale, cost of ECU flash makes the grom a win. cjr grom flash is still 99usd, dhm is 159usd. Cheapest papio flash i can find is 399usd. That erases any msrp savings.

    Hi armchair bikers , like yourself , we enjoy the small bikes as well as big capacity stuff , the small bikes are a riot , we’ve groms , monkeys , benelli tnts , I’d buy the cf moto papio if it comes to England , if not I’m tempted by a Honda dax , my opinion groms are the best road bikes , monkey is most comfortable , the benellis I brought one because I’d always liked them , and to compare the the Hondas , I must say I like them and I’m impressed , great review by the way 🏍🏍👍👍

    • @armchairbikerstv
      @armchairbikerstv  2 года назад +6

      Personally I love my Grom, but after spending some time on the Papio and collectively we have put 1,000 miles on it, I honestly think it's a good alternative if you are tired of waiting around for a Grom to come in. Also, the brakes are plenty good, you just have to let the pads break in. When you first get on the bike, the pads are brand new and will feel weak but after some use they will feel fine. This is the case with all brand new brake pads regardless of the bike.

    They may be great, but the biggest problem with CF Moto is the dealer network or more importantly lack of. I bought one, then the next thing I know he is out of business. I hear they sell fine in some states, but I live in Harley land, that is about all you see around here.

      I have 11 dealers in the Phoenix area that sell and work on CFMOTOs. They sponsor and compete in Moto3. They have been hot sellers in Asia and Europe for 4 years (for bikes) and since 2006 in the US for side-by-sides. In July 2023 they bought more than 50% of of Pierer (who owns KTM). Partner with KTM and build many of their (and other manufacturers) engines. And, when talking to dealers, they can't keep them on the showroom floor as they sell very quickly. It's too bad that Harley Land (where is that?) is depriving you of so much fun.

      I've got Z125Pro, and it's better than Grom. Grom has more torque down low, otherwise worse in every aspect. When Riding Grom, I felt like on a rattled bicycle whereas my Z feels like a proper motorbike, including much better suspension, seat and what not. Explains why I put more miles on my Kawi alone than half the town combined on their pos Groms with every mod available on the market. On the side note, no grom yet beat my stock Z on track either. For whatever reason people praise Groms and regard to everything else as a copy where other than the approximate square size bikes have absolutely nothing copied of Honda.
