Well Kevin Shields actually bankrupted Creation Records in order to make Loveless. Turns out "just the right amount of distortion" costs about 250k haha.
I just im love with shoegaze, is very romantical, dreamy and ethereal...i can´t explain that nostalgia and melancholy.

A good example of older shoegaze is "Heaven or Las Vegas" by Cocteau Twins. Very dreamy-like

I just discovered shoegazing a couple of months ago and I absolutely love the music style. My favorite shoegazing song (so far) is Shine by Slowdive.
At my age didn’t thought I was already set on my genres of music . Never been into much rock maybe a song or 2 . But heard this song on TikTok. Looked up band and other songs of it . Loving the sound . Just found out name of genre day. On here looking up more of it

I think you can argue that beach house and m83 are examples of modern shoegaze or at least are heavily influenced by it but applied to synths

Chapterhouse were great, either extremely dreamy or really noisy, loved them....their second album Blood Music (1993) even experimented with rave and ambient textures
yeah, we like chapterhouse. we're from the thames valley so all those "scene that celebrates itself" bands are local to us & close to our heart 💗
