A Day in the Life of a Senior Scientist

Rachel, a senior scientist in the UK, works in a Bio Safety Testing lab. She demonstrates how to extract DNA from a banana, which can be used to identify different viruses.
The “Day in the Life” video series, which features our own scientists and experts from around the world, is designed to highlight the breadth and depth of opportunities in STEM careers within the Life Science industry, as well as the diversity of the people within them.
We aim to spark curiosity in the next generation of scientists and inspire them to pursue a career in STEM by showing them that scientists all over the world, who look just like them, are working to create a better tomorrow.
