  • Always felt this piece was a bit lacking due to the hardware limitations. Did what I could to add a more cavernous feel to it.

      I did my best to add some atmosphere. This seemed to be an attempt at ambient music for the Gameboy.

    finally someone who gets it - and made this! the Gameboy version Metroid 2: Return of Samus still hits differently - I need a version where the music part comes in and then everything goes silent with those siren sounds

      That siren sound always makes me uneasy. This is one of the few games that legitimately makes me feel anxious/nervous. There’s such an ominous sense of loneliness/emptiness in those caves. You never know when danger will appear, but it is always there, waiting for you.

      It’s one of the few games I’ve played that produces a genuine sense of emptiness, fear and danger. Those dark caves give me so much anxiety unless I stumble upon a health refill.
