As it says on the tin, this weeks mix is an introductory mix, designed to show to that friend who's been asking about the weird music you listen to, or even if you WANT to show your weird music to a friend! My wife says it was the music that made her fall in love with me ....,and this was the type of music I introduced her too we been together for 6 years so thanks for bringing my soul mate to me
I got a buddy of mine into vaporwave using mallwave and other classic vaporwave like what you have here. He went on to convert a couple of his friends and now we all vibe to the classics when we game, it’s awesome.
This is the way! The whole genre is a treasure trove of such great music that's almost untapped to the wider world, the more people that get to experience it, the merrier! It's brilliant that you can all share that experience now :)

Glad to hear you're digging it my friend! Honestly it gets kind of tricky sometimes, I'd love to have every track, back to back, in full - but sometimes things like a long fade out or a piece of tricky material I can't use in the video forces my hand and makes me need to consider how it flows into other tracks. I think in this case, it was a section of the track I couldn't use, but instead of cutting the track entirely, it was too good not to at least slip in for a bit! :) Thank you for giving it a spin, it means a lot!

Exactly my thoughts! I basically went for a list of the tracks that spring to most peoples minds if they're asked to name a vaporwave song for that purpose. All killer, no filler! :)
I'd love to do a whole host of different sub genres! Given how well recieved this video has been, I think it's only a matter of time until I drop one for Mallsoft and Late Night - I've been sort of slacking on Future Funk and Signalwave so I'd love to take the opportunity to explore those ones too and I think this would make a great starting point! :)
Thank you for pointing that out, friend! Try as I might to keep the volume of each track on a similar level, one or two always slip through the cracks every now and again. Saint Pepsi tracks are typically quite loudly mixed so I usually have to do a little tweaking with their tracks to get them to fit, I must have missed this one in all of the excitement - noted for future mixes, thank you! :)

excellent vibes. It is missing a few pieces I would consider essential gateway, one of which I think is telepath and the other one of the other big macintosh songs... yet ain't it the way, I can only hum them because their titles are indecipherable to me
Thank you for the kind words and feedback, friend! You know, I completely forgot about Telepath! Undoubtedly one of the greats. I do find that their music feels a little more...I guess, advanced? For lack of a better word. There's definitely bangers out there, but I've always found their strength more in their entire body of work than individual songs, which likely contributed to why one didn't stand out to me when putting together the tracks for the mix. Macintosh Plus is an easy one to explain - I make it a rule of thumb to only ever include one track from any individual artist in a mix, and while there's so many iconic tracks to choose from, it'd be a crime not to include Lisa Frank 420 in an entry-level mix! Conversely, I have broken this rule on a mix before, for none other than Macintosh Plus. Vektroid has so many aliases that fit well into Corporate Vaporwave that I think my first Corporate mix had three of them - so I guess my rule should be "one track per alias" in the future!
