It certainly puts me at ease! Traditionally I'm a metalcore/hardcore type of person, but I think I probably only listen to a couple of new tracks a year now in favour of the bliss of discovering new Vaporwave, always keeps me in a relaxed mood :) Thank you for giving the mix a listen!
Yesterday, I went to a mall for the first time in a few years. I'd have definitely preferred this in my ears than the din of Concentrated Babylon I got.
100 percent! All I get in malls these days is pumping dance music coming from each individual shop as I walk past, and it's not ideal, to say the least. Normalise ambience in shopping malls again!
Word! My local mall used to be amazing, loads of foliage, themed areas, a central food court, fountains you can throw pennies into, and now it's all gone in favour of sterile white walls and "selfie stations" to give the impression like you're having a great time. It's just not the same. I'm hoping one day they'll decide to have a resurgence and deck a mall out in a vintage style again :)

Agreed! It's going to be really sad when they all finally lose out to online retail. I think a lot will survive as food and leisure hubs but there's something a lot more magical about being able to browse items to buy in person. Coming across something in a store and seeing it there, ready to purchase feels so much better than ordering and waiting for it to arrive!
That was legitimately my earliest memories of going to the local mall! Back when Genesis/Mega Drive games were still new on shelves. Sonic 2, 3, and Mickey Mania were my key purchases. Good times!
