Why does it look like that dude 😭😭😭. I swear I gotta update this 💀 Anyways, after watching the whole video I gotta be honest, the way you described the map just got me more into updating it. You're just the perfect guy to play those kinds of maps. You got pretty much most of the stuff right, the map is watching you and I'm glad it got 𝘆𝗼𝘂 unsettled. Uhh... I don't know what else to say so just know that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 for sure. I don't know when they'll come out but for sure 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. Oh and also I loved your videos during the pandemic, great stuff man!
If I were to give any sort of recommendation for a change, I'd say try turning the off-the-map-edge instant kill trigger into a damage over time type kill trigger. Like the leech one that's used in the half life 2 for falling into the ocean. Just for extra creep factor.
This entire map reminds me of "Imscared" something about the pixilated textures and the unseen horrors in this sleepy town, really reminds me of that game's whole vibe, of being a cursed game you shouldn't play. Yet you keep playing because curiosity, as more unexplained things continue to happen. And the fact it's in VR, makes it even better with the scare factor.
i love how every piece of music is just adrenaline-pumping, even though a decent chunk of it amounts to nothing. i love tension that doesn't get resolved in horror and that does it very well
Really love the creativity people put into Garry's Mod custom maps that isn't just the normal stock Source game stuff. Not dissing on the maps that use normal Source game stuff, but its really cool seeing how creative people get with custom textures, sounds, and props built up from scratch for Gmod.
not even half an hour since release of this video and there's already people suggesting maps!! i kinda get the appeal of watching a youtuber play the map that you personally recommended, but man, that is so much peer pressure!! I guess the least i could say is take the suggestions based on your own liking of the map. and it's pretty cool that you play standalone games more often than gmod maps + make more urbex videos now. or you have been doing this for a while and i haven't watched this channel long enough to not notice. this is top creepy and comfy content keep it up
Man, I had a dream that you were gonna post today. It's my birthday today! You even posted my favourite type of video on this special day! Thanks, Librarian, for making my day even better than it already was! (Even if it was unintentional.)
We will allow you to have cheese for 1 day but no more than that. More days may be negotiated for if needed. (This message was sent by the Martian Intergalactic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MIMFA)
@Conk4668 Thank yall martian kings for such gift. If necessary, i could trade my entire 34 AU property in the crab nebula for 4 martian years of precious, magnanimous cheese.
Librarian, please play a VR game tilted The Under, it has a very strange yet wonderful world, and a very mysterious multiplayer open-world, you can't actually communicate!
This map reminds me a lot of that old slender man game that was touted as the "original" after the eight pages came out but really was just a demake homage of sorts
When I played this map, I only had 1 door work. Maybe I played an earlier revision or something. I missed a lot of this map. Kinda a neat horror map I guess, not really my vibe though.
hello, loved the video and i have a video idea for you. i see that you make mods on liminal creepy mods/stuff for the source engine and there is this mod that i like and just played and its called half life 2 lone mod and its kind of like what you make. so its just a suggestion
It's such a disapointment to me when a horror experience is just the environment and there's nothing there. There's no danger. You have all the time in the world to get used to this place's strange new rules. Once you are used to it, you can relax. The creepy becomes comfortable. When there is a creature, you're under enormous pressure to adapt to the rules quickly and no guarentee that you'll be safe if you do. The worst part is that the creature realistically wouldn't start hunting you until after you've already broken a rule which means there's no hope for that place to become safe again. It also means that these emptier games tell a story where you are safe from the start, even if there is a monster, there's nothing you can do that would upset it. It won't ever come for you. Perhaps then, the perfect horror game is one that starts empty like this but certain actions will upset the creature causing it to hunt you more agressively until you finally go too far and it teleports to your location to put you out of it's missery. If you do figure out it's rules, you find yourself losing your humanity to befriend the beast. You would be safe but at what cost? Three kinds of horror in one game depending on how you play and they could always incorporate more. Void Places manages to do this "liminal horror" in a way that works for me because it's specifically designed in such a way that the place is the threat. Feeling comfortable in that place is the threat. The two characters guiding you through the space are not enemies, they're examples of what might happen to you if you don't get out.
Scream for us? Well if you insist… AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! There, I screamed for all of us. Nailed it.

Yo what is that screaming sound effect that starts playing at 23:34 it sounds so horrifying
@@Randomthailanderwhoplayhsr the screaming is just younger me with an earrape 😭
Hey you created something and put it out into the world. I'd say you did a good job. It reflects your ability and your thoughts from the time.
I feel like that cut in the first minute of the video after he read Lost? Scream! He did scream and just cut it lol
I feel like he did lol

It's honestly oddly calming while also being unnerving at the exact same time
Exactly
Glad i'm not the only one that got "I'm Scared" vibes from this.
but also i'm getting Petscop vibes too and that's not even a real game.
i love how every piece of music is just adrenaline-pumping, even though a decent chunk of it amounts to nothing. i love tension that doesn't get resolved in horror and that does it very well
the music and atmospheric sound design on this map is incredible. need a dark ambient album from the map creator asap
Huh? 😯
@@gatecat13 i take it you did the music and whatnot for this? it's solid stuff i'd love to hear more!

A freezing Friday night in January, perfect to cozy up under a blanket and watch a new GMod video from Librarian. Thank you for uploading!
A summer Jan night, singlet and shorts with a beer for me
These streets are indeed unsettling.. almost creepy, These streets definitely dont settle me
I run them streets
Streets killed me
The streets feel like warm cheese
Are the hills silent? And the residents evil?
@@highjumpstudios2384 are the shafts shifty
the style of this map is exactly like a fever dream i had last summer
This map reminds me of a town you would pass through on the way to your grandparents house.
Your style is very philosophical. You have a unique way of looking and appreciating what most of us ignore in games

Happy Birthday🎉
Idk why but this gives me vibes from the original slenderman game that was made in like 2011.
I love seeing the creator of whatever map he is playing in a video he uploads comment
Reminds me of petscop
1 minute ago? Wow.
Also your voice is so calming.
Please let me have cheese one more day.

Nice, a map that plays on the feelings of dread
31:38 Idk if he noticed but the stop sign was constantly switching from "STOP" to "QUIT" repeatedly
The graphic style of the map reminds me of Consternation
