I made your flan recipe and now my family wants me to make it for there birthday or special occasions so today being Father’s Day I made it today thank you for your video love this recipe have a a blessed day ❤
Super delicious! Instead of caramelizing the white sugar, I used molasses, the process is much easier and the taste is still delicious 😋 For some reason, the timing suggested didn’t work for me, so I put it 20 min with 15 npr.
The sugar should be a little bit darker and also you should add a pinch of salt to the mixture so it ups the taste of the flan. Otherwise it looks good.
I have the same "flanera" and LOVE IT!!!! Great recipe :) super easy and yummy!!!! You do not even need a blender or a hand mixer, just an egg whisk is all you need, the less air bubbles you get - the better. Just remember to have all your ingredients at room temp
Here's a tip for pouring and spreading the flan caramel for you or maybe some of your viewers. While heating the sugar to caramelize it, put your flan pot in the oven heated to around 200 degrees. When it's time to pour the caramel and spread it on the bottom of the pan, the hot pan will give you more time to spread the caramel evenly. I wish I could take credit for this tip, but I actually read it somewhere online. 😁 Again, I love this recipe of yours !
You can also instead of cheese, you can make cocunut cream one, or Nutella, or pineapple.. just substitute the cheese for half of a can of the cocunut cream or pineapple.
Thanks! I followed the instructions but it did spill some inside the pot. May need to omit sugar in the flan mixture. I did buy your flan mold & it’s very nice.
Can I get the link for the stainless steel pan you used to make the flan please? What size instant pot did you use? Also, can I get the recipe too? Thanks
What is the brand of skillet you had making the caramel? I’ve had bad luck buying non stick pans. Also is there a link on where you got the Baking pan and also the skillet?
I don't watch TV and was working for years ... never heard of the Instant Pot til my daughter's friend got her one and she was raving about it for like 2 years... I finally bought one this week and am playing catch up on all the things you can make with it! THIS will no doubt be a favorite!!!! What do they call that pan I didn't see a link for it :D Thanks again you make me brave to try it!
Try cooking your sugar without stirring and allow to cook until dark golden brown it will add another level of flavor. It should have the same flavor as the topping on a Creme Brulee, almost burnt.
Thank you Leta for this recipe, I been using your recipe for a while now it turns out great every time, I purchase my pan right a way from EasyShopForEveryone, love the handle on the pan.
I was wondering why you added 3 cups of water to the Instant Pot . I'm just starting to use my new Instant Pot and I see that most recipes use 1 or 1 1/2 cups. Just curious...
My flan in instant pot keeps failing 😭. I used 5 eggs (because they were sm/med, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 tsp of vanilla and 1.5 cups of milk. Both the condensed milk and milk were lactose free (not sure if this has anything to do with it). I put on low pressure for 24 min and 10 min NR then let any remaining pressure out and then let it sit in pot another 10 min. Put on counter to cool for 10 min and then refrigerated for 6 hrs. The texture was like cottage cheese :/. The time before this, I did all the same ingredients, but mistakenly put on high pressure (cottage cheese texture). I thought for sure on low pressure it was going to be a success. Nope! I'm thinking maybe my pan is too big and is too close to pot. Maybe it's getting too hot. I might have to cook it in the oven. I've made it before, but a different recipe and it came out great. I used a smaller pan though. I'm lactose intolerant and was so happy to find lactose free SC Milk to make flan. lol
Wow, I would have been intimidated to try a dessert like this, I might have to give this a go. Your insta pot looks amazing! I also love your colourful pot holders, did you make those? Xx
I have always made flan on the stove top! I am so glad you are showing how to make it in the instant pot! Which I bought and do not use :/ Why? I do not know! I will make this in it! Thank you :)
Sanober I purchased my pan from Amazon, just type in flan pan it will come up. The brand that I purchased is called EasyShopForEveryone, I love this pan because I can make lasagna, also the lid has a handle. They also gave me a few free items with this purchase. I hope that helped you.

OMG That flan in the Insta Pot is dangerously easy.
Can I make this flan omitting the whole milk and sugar? If so, does it still take 16 minutes to pressure cook, please?
Try cooking your sugar without stirring and allow to cook until dark golden brown it will add another level of flavor. It should have the same flavor as the topping on a Creme Brulee, almost burnt.
Yes, thats how cubans do it, just have to make sure you constantly move the mold around as you heat it, if not the sugar will burn.
Can I sip the whole milk and sugar?
Thank you Leta for this recipe, I been using your recipe for a while now it turns out great every time, I purchase my pan right a way from EasyShopForEveryone, love the handle on the pan.
BEST Video ever! Thank you!
Awww thank you! :)
Wow this looks delicious! Great video Leta, thanks for sharing :)
Thanks Raquel! :)
Can you make it in the oven? I don't have an insta pan.
Yes. That’s how it’s usually done.
I was wondering why you added 3 cups of water to the Instant Pot . I'm just starting to use my new Instant Pot and I see that most recipes use 1 or 1 1/2 cups. Just curious...
Paul Desrosiers Adding 3 cups just makes me more comfortable, I’m always a little worried that 1 1/2 would not be enough🙂that’s just me
Paul Desrosiers Also the 8 quart instant Pot is really big, which may require more water 💦 than the 4 quart IP.
I love your video a lot
I love Flan! My mom cooks it a lot and I love it when she does! I'm going to make her cook it now 😅
So yummy! :)
Can you make a REAL cheesecake in the action pan?? Just curious.
That Turned Out So Pretry! I Really Need An Instapot! Great Video Leta!❤
Thank you! :)
could you make it in a spring form pan?
You need a pan that has a solid bottom because it will leak out🙂 Thanks so much for watching!

LOL You will love the Instant Pot! :)
What is the name of the metal container and where can i get one
Wondering as well
It's called a "flanera" or translated a flan maker, or just a flan pan. It's just a glorified pan you can seal.
Delicious mmm
Luisa Alequin Ramos It is so yummy!
How do I find that pot you put inside the Instant Pot? What is called, please?
Amazon..flan pan
I ordered it from Amazon, just look for a flan pan for the Instant Pot :)
Do you have the instructions anywhere written out or a link? It’s kinda hard to watch and keep up with instructions
Can you plz share the link?
why not caramelize the sugar in the pan?
Because with this particular pan it can not be use on the stove it will damage it.

No , it’s actually FLAAN
I made it for a party and came out so good that my wife told everyone she made it 😢

I've tried flan several times It's so good!! Thanks For sharing the recipe Leta!! 🙋♂️🙋♂️😊👍
la azucar hay que dejarla quieta en lo que hace su trabajo
They always tell you not to touch the caramel sugar
👍👍👍👍👍👍
P
It IS pronounced 'flAWn' - A flan usually is a thin sponge cake with creme patissier, fruit and glaze
