    Thanks for this one, Manny. Brought me back. I delivered supplies to most of the places you showed here, City Hall, the Police and Fire Department, the Schools, the churches, the parks, the hospitals and community health centers, and more. Not all that different, just a different vibe from a decade or two ago. Besides Frank Sinatra, Hoboken was the home of the very first Blimpie's on Washington Street (same folks ran the one on Broadway in Bayonne, and they're still there kickin' 'em out but under a different name), and also the setting for On the Waterfront with Marlon Brando all filmed on location back in the day. Glad you're doing these walkarounds, they're important and enjoyable.

      Is that why somebody got a bullet in their living room window because of a Projects being in the neighborhood. Nothing but drugs and crime and a lot of homeless people on Washington. Hoboken is not what he used to be.

    I was born here in 1981. That hospital used to be called st Mary's. I remember after school we used to run to that park. It was called 4th St park. We would race to get a swing. There was a pizza shop called 5 star pizza. You could get a massive slice of pizza for $1.25. I moved when I was 12 to Miami but I wish I stayed there

      Several of them are frat houses for Stevens, at least they were 50+ years ago. I lived in one that had been converted into apartments, but it has since been torn down and replaced with two narrow brownstone buildings.

    GOOD, I graduated from Stevens this year and have gone back to my country. it brought me back a lot of happy memories. maybe no chance to come back to Hoboken in the future.

    I really like Hoboken; I'm moving to the NYC area when I retire and Hoboken is high on the list due to proximity to PATH, etc.

      Great you can take the PATH from WTC station to Hoboken, please visit the great bar’s crossing the street there is the Texas Arizona one of my favorites, and the delicious pizza from Basile that is showed at the beginning of this great video.

      Indeed it is beautiful, but I've already cover the waterfront in the past, and I wanted to focus more in the neighborhood, since most of the people just focus on the waterfront and not into the actual neighborhood that has a lot to offer.

    Hi manny, nice video....ur premieres looking better every time. Next time you're in asia, u might wanna visit Macau. Architecture is amazing there with Portugal influence. The streets are paved with mosaic and they are pretty smooth and flat, even though a gazillion tourists walk in it everyday. Unlike the cobblestone in NYC, where its uneven and people might trip on it. 😅

    That hospital at 7:20 used to be called Saint Mary's Hospital. But that was years and years ago. Now, since like 10 or 20 years ago, (I can't remember exactly in what year, but years ago) is now called Hoboken University Medical Center. This hospital is owned by CarePoint. CarePoint owns other hospital in the area.

    No videos showing Hoboken waterfront highrises to be found. I am sure they deserve one. Instead you find tons of video showing NYC skyline from Hoboken and lots of paving blocks, railing and trees

      North to South it's about a mile and a quarter and from West to East it's about three-quarters of a mile. Currently 55,000 population.
