Thank you! I took a game development class and loved it - it was a lot of fun. I have not done it professionally, but I have heard that the work culture in the gaming industry is pretty stressful
☕ Currently doing A levels in the UK but want to eventually work for Google as a software engineer in the USA. What are ur tips. I plan on going to university but idk where. Should I go in the UK or USA. Also, how do I transfer between the two countries (i.e. apply to a US university with UK qualifications.) Thanks 👍
Sorry I don't have any advice to offer here - I would recommend reaching out to recruiters as they would be more familiar with the processes you asked about
I have heard good things about freecodecamp but I haven't personally used it. I learned how to code in college and I also took a class on Udemy to learn web development but it's a few years old I'm not sure how relevant it is anymore
I'm not familiar with it but iirc Sundas Khalid (data scientist at Google) has a video covering this topic on her RUclips channel, you should check it out!
Hey 😄 It's hard to say because Google is a big company and there's a ton of different projects that require different languages. You can interview in pretty much any major language that you're comfortable with
I have a question.......can a google employee of a certain country recommend a person of other country Lets sat I'm an Indian and I want job at google India.....And u work in USA office......so do u have the access to recommend me at google India?
@@yourfriendintech what I experienced is that it is because I didn't work for any AI or Software company before, which is why I started a start-up from scratch and run it until it succeed. If I done that and apply as a founder of a successful company as my working experience, they may consider that as my working experience and hire me as AI or Software Engr.
I am Zubayer and I am From Bangladesh. I'm right now 14 years old and i complete C,C++ and frontend for web and i am learning python now and I Teach this thinks on my RUclips channel (Zubayer Coding Club) so my question is what kind of this I should learn for Google. And any chances before Admit on CSE for job
Hi Zubayer 🇧🇩 Wow that's really impressive, congrats on all of the hard work! Google does have coding programs for teenagers, you should look into their Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI)
Jon, I would correct you in one place. It is not correct that "Google can hire anyone." I have repeatedly rejected opportunities to interview at Google. There are many people who don't prefer Google. I understand that it is easy to make that assumption, but that assumption is not correct. In my opinion, it is just a money trap. Also, in general, I don't prefer too big companies. It is amazing to know how much people working at big companies don't know about the people/work-culture/mindset of people working at smaller companies. Also, people working at Google and other giants think that they are hired because they were the best in the applicant pool. The reality is that only the mediocre ones get hired. The best candidates don't get hired because they are a threat to many people's jobs and promotions. Please note that I am not trying to disrespect anyone by calling them mediocre, but just putting out the truth. I think mediocre skills are extremely valuable to the world, we as a society have not learned to appreciate importance of it. Exceptionally intelligent engineers and mediocrely intelligent engineers have their own use cases. People who own/run the companies, know this very clearly; they dont and cant speak about this openly.
Hi Ashka, I did not make the assumption that Google can hire anyone. If you are referring to 2:24, I say "the reality is that Google *can't* hire everyone"
To be honest I'm not sure - I guess it depends on what you actually learn. For example, a lot of the larger tech companies do not require a degree as long as you have the relevant skills and experience to do the job
Getting into Google is not so easy and it's not weird at all. Because We all know that Google is a big tech company and they always want qualified Engineers. By the way, I am the Resume Guy, who has been asking for your resume, Jon.😃You know me, Jon.
@@yourfriendintech I am basically interested in your whole resume. But mostly I have interest in the project section of your resume. And How many technical projects did you have? I will still wait for your entire dedicated Resume video 😊

I completed my masters and then started working full time at Google
Hi, is it okay to ask for 7 to 8 weeks for preparing for first round of interview in Google for 'Software engineer' role?
It depends! I would recommend asking your recruiter as they would be able to give the most up to date advice
Which online RUclips channel/website is best for learning programming languages and how did you learn??
I have heard good things about freecodecamp but I haven't personally used it. I learned how to code in college and I also took a class on Udemy to learn web development but it's a few years old I'm not sure how relevant it is anymore
Could you make a video and your thoughts about the Google Data Analytics Certificate? :)
