Hey Jon ! It’s Yagnam, again. I have decided that I want to be a software engineer when I finish my university. Do you recommend any specific tech universities for me ?? I am going to apply to the university of Waterloo. Also, is the future bright for tech ?? I enjoy watching ur videos. Thank you.
Hey Yagnam - that's great! I've heard that University of Waterloo is a great school. I don't have any specific universities to recommend - but I would recommend you do your research on the curriculum, programs, and resources to see if they match your needs! The tech industry is still going through and recovering from layoffs, but I do believe there is a bright future ahead 😄
@@Yagnampatel09Hey man, I just got an offer at the other Google in Silicon Valley, so just wanted to let you know there is hope and everything isn't doom and gloom!
Hello John, my background is in spacecraft attitude dynamics and control. I completed my bachelors and master’s degrees in aerospace engineering and current enrolled in a masters degree in computer science. How do I get a job interview at google. I don’t think just applying cuts it anymore. Thanks for the wonderful content by the way
Hello! Since you are enrolled in a degree program, I would highly encourage you to explore internship options as its less commitment and at the end of your internship you can apply/convert to full time. Other than applying directly, you should see if your school has career fairs or other networking opportunities. You may be able to find an alumni that works at Google via LinkedIn and you can see if they'd be willing to refer you. Hope that helps!
Hello Jon My name is Yagnam and I am 14 years old. I’m looking forward to seeing a better future for me. Do you recommend joining the tech industry?? Or joining Google as a L3 after completing my college?? I greatly appreciate your videos. Thank you so much.
Hello John, I am currently taking a course online(ALXSE) and i was wondering if i could intern at google with this certificate because i did not take anything related to tech in Uni and i just want to know if i have a shot. Thanks for your contents, it really help widen the knowledge of how things work in google and i really hope you respond ❤
Hello! I am not familiar with ALXSE but you can check out all the Google internship programs here:buildyourfuture.withgoogle.com/internships I recommend you to look at the qualifications to see if you're eligible. If you're still unsure then you can still apply to see if you get in
Hey Jon I’m from Scotland. Just completed freeCodeCamp responsive web design now studying a little JavaScript. Would love to work for google and wonder if you have any pointers. Would love to hear from you. Danny
Hey there! I recommend you look at Google's career page if you want more information on how they hire. careers.google.com/how-we-hire/ How did you like freeCodeCamp?
Really enjoyed your video! I am a student from Sweden and have some questions regarding web development. At the moment I have done c#, Java and some light stuff in Android Studio. However after my upcoming summer break we will be doing a course in web development. Now as I unfortunately didn’t manage to get a job this summer I have decided to start early and try to spend my time learning web development instead as it seems very interesting. As I mentioned above I have some experience now with coding in two different languages. I have a hard time knowing where to start though, and am therefore wondering if you could give me some tips on languages to learn and how to plan my summer to get the most out of it. Are there any free complete resources online for it with all things you need to start? Or do I need to jump around on different platforms to get to learn everything I need to start with? Hope you understand me, English is not my main language 😁
Thanks Jacob! There's a lot of free resources online, I don't have any specific recommendations because it's been a while since I've done any web development and so the course I used is probably way out of date. I've heard great things about freecodecamp and codecademy, but regardless of which you choose I would recommend that you try and stick to just 1 platform. Ideally you can find one that can walk you through how to develop a website from start to beginning. This has two benefits: 1) way you can focus on actually learning the material rather than searching for how to learn the material and 2) you'll have something to add to your resume at the end of it. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
hi john, new subscribe here and beginner trying to break into software and mobile development. I'm curios to know what programming language(s) you work with and what language you would advice me to learn as an aspiring android developer
Wonderful, I am really grateful for the information you offer. I would like to ask you. I am now studying informatics engineering, but I do not know the appropriate specialization. Can you give advice and some information about things that I can do and study to train?
If you are just starting out it makes sense to focus on the fundamentals (data structures and algorithms) as that sets the foundation for pretty much all of the specialization. Are you currently in a program? It can be helpful to look ahead at the curriculum and see what classes are offered and research them to see if you would be interested in taking them.
