i hope you're doing well! i appreciate seeing slice of life videos like this, i really admire your commitment to making videos and finding time even on your break to shoot
Thanks Kendra! I'm still trying to find the right balance, but creating content with no expectations has been super helpful in actually getting outside to film stuff. Hope you're doing good too!!
This is a good reminder to me to actually try the Pomodoro timer. I’ve tried to use one before but never truly committed to it for any great length of time.
Lmk how it goes! I used to think I was a pro at multitasking, but I get so much more done when I’m focused on one single thing. And the dedicated breaks to do whatever is nice too 🙂↕️
Thank you for this video! Really appreciate the realness and honesty in the first have about life LIFING! I hope this message finds you well, I love all your content. I know at the end of the day you'll be ok. Sending well wishes to your family member ❤
Do you have any other productivity tips? I recognise pomodoro can be great for some people but I personally find it disruptive, the break period always seems to fall just as I am getting into proper focus.
I like to start their day with small tasks to build momentum, but sometimes I tackle my biggest task first so that the rest of the day is easier. that + noise canceling headphones/playing music + pomodoro timer are my top 3 productivity tips
Hi, nice video! I'm a software engineer too! I think a contributing factor to burn out could be that you may be prioritising and finding fullfilment/purpose in life in things that are largely outside of your control e.g. career success, youtube consistency/success etc. The problem with that is as soon as things aren't going how you expected them to go or planned them out in your head it has a big impact on your mental health. I feel like this is a common problem with people who have been high achievers since a young age which makes it harder for them to be content/happy in life.
Depends on how you define good! Things you’ll want to consider are: pay, location, team culture, types of projects you can expect to work on, your own person skills, potential for career growth, etc.
remember to hit the like button on the video (it really helps!)
Jon you're such an inspiration to me and everyone of your subs. Thank you for making your videos I really enjoy them:)
Thanks Jake! I really appreciate you saying that 🙏🏼

Lol, sets do not disturb and spends most of the day making video's.
Please remember that you are not watching “most of my day”. You are only watching the parts of my day that I filmed.

@@yourfriendintech I mean you are doing that: going outside and touch some grass that helps (maybe was not clear my message)
