Very helpful video, I have seen others put bricks underneath the visible set but now I know why. If I had enough bricks I would probably do it! Anyway great video this will help a lot of people get started for sure.

Or you could just Blu-Tack the large base plates to your worksurface

If you want to build trenches or structures that are slightly bellow ground level even just a hole in the battlefield it is better to have a layer underneath. Personally I don't have enough brick for 2 layers but if you do It is probably a good idea to do what blackbird says.

Very helpful video man! I also make stop motion but I make them 5 Fps and I use my own voices. I personally wouldn't like to cut the droid legs because I don't want to ruin a good figure but then I don't understand how lego just doesn't make their legs movable.
