Ooh, some of those old triangle back-board lights & some old 3rd Generation GWE's. These are the same type of lights that were at Canterbury St. Stephens, Sandwich Woodnesborough, Lancing & Dunster Sea Lane L/C's (to name a few).
Yeah, I found out these wigwags were likely GEC Elliott wigwags as says the printed name on one of the halogen lens I took (pics at end). It was definitely an interesting find 👍
Good to see the crossing is still standing. Though Nature has taken its toll on it and knocked one of the wigwags over. It looked so old. That's what I like to see. You even managed to get a souvenir!
im finded this on google maps, in 2009 it looked like this is still active. Link: www.google.pl/maps/@51.5162466,0.5044173,3a,75y,180.37h,84.79t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sIfJnsZa7zNYKPr6ZFeY7fQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Thanks David 😎, not sure if this crossing has bells in the barrier units or not. It's possible although the small audible speaker on the old control panel with the button might have been the alarm.
Yeah, I need to visit that line at somepoint as not much has been done with the abandoned crossings. I believe the line is slowly being restored however.
15 days until the GWE barriers at Elm Road New Malden will go! They are being replaced, I will go on the 22nd to film the new barriers and crossing. 😥😀
But like everyone would probably go into a small coma if it activated out of shock since like isn’t that crossing old?? And it looks like it’s been abandoned for atleast 13 or so years like hams halls
No I don't. In my opinion, talking over videos like these kind of ruins them. My audience is worldwide and watched by different age-groups so it is easy just to not include any talking. I usually include brief information in video descriptions sometimes.
ok so i found the coordinates because searching the mannorway will send you to southend and thems haven will send you to rochester here they are 51°30'58.2"N 0°30'15.6"E
It was made for the extensive Thames Haven oil refinery before closing in the 90s. Now it is redundant because the London Gateway port doesn't use the line, and doesn't go that far. I am local to this so if you want any more info, just ask
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel the corringham light railway as it was originally was opened 1901. Just beyond the crossing is the remains of coryton station platform
0:15 If you want I get the traffic lights and put them back into service. Si tu veux je récupère les feux de signalisation et je les remets en service.😅😂
The old abandoned crossings are strangely fascinating and a tad eerie. Can you imagine if it activated though? That would be very eerie!
There's something wonderfully eerie about old, forgotten wigwags!
Yeah, there is. Felt a bit weird seeing lights in such a state
Yeah
There's another one nearby in Arctic Avenue! Great video and on GM in 2009,the fallen Wigwag can be seen but it's now removed
Ah yeah, unfortunately it looks like its in the port and inaccessible
What a great find! I love seeing these old abandoned places like this. Awesome video!
Thanks very much Morthren 😎👍, I'm glad it was still here, such an ancient crossing ☺️

Yeah I did after I had a little look underneath the fallen light. It looks very unique seeing it in the state it's in
What road is this on
Which virgin keeps disliking your posts. How can you dislike this? It’s a great find.
Just people who don't appreciate the content I make to be honest.
There's a hard core of people out there who literally hate everything i think
it's sad to look at such closed railway lines and abandoned level crossings. Greetings from Poland!
Even though they are closed, it is very interesting looking at the old leftover equipment. Greetings from UK 😎👍

There’s one like this in Birkenhead, these old abandoned level crossings are strangely fascinating
Yeah I've seen the one at Birkenhead online. I find them fascinating too and I'm going to try and visit and film a few more this year on my travels.
Omg I never thought you would find a abandoned lc man that must of had some old trains going along that crossing
Give that power line tower a oscar for being in the video
Wow great find!
Thanks 😎👍
i had a day out yesterday and went over this very crossing
It feels something of the Grimsby Light Railway! Awesome video. :)
Thank you Oliver 😎, yeah it does remind me of Dead Grimsby a bit and the full barrier Moody Lane LC 👍
No worries. :)
Great find and video! I'm willing to bet that the GWE gate mechs have bells in them. And interesting how the bases of the arms are still there.
Thanks David 😎, not sure if this crossing has bells in the barrier units or not. It's possible although the small audible speaker on the old control panel with the button might have been the alarm.
you should check out the March-Wisbeach line loads of abandoned crossings there as well as the lichfield mothballed line has one too,

C'est un feux clignotants ? Sinon super vidéo. J'aime ce genre de vidéo.👌😄😄😉
Do you know how long this railroad crossing has been abandoned for
The only train that went on this line was probably Thomas the chav engine only once and never again.
Nice Jamie
Thanks
Is that light panel that's fallen over heavy?
Nice 😎👍🏼
Thanks 😎👍
What year is the Level crossing of years
Nice when was this abandoned?
Thanks 😎, and I'm not sure of the date but I presume several years ago 😐
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel 2012
Yes, you made your point, 10x over, that this crossing is no longer used. The fences look like prison fences.
This is around London Gateway Port so I guess they need decent sized fences to stop trespassers and individuals walking on private port land.
When did this level crossing been abandoned?
Around the 1980s I reckon
Cool! I don't know much about UK crossings, how old is this?
Thanks 😎👍, I don't know exactly how old but I'd imagine at least 30 years
coool
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel27-30 years…
Love the idea of the vidio
Thanks Emma 😎
Nah I need to call network rail to see if I can walk across this looks mouldy
can you make a video of it working?
I don't think it would work anymore lol.
Wow, cool.
Thanks 😉
How did you find this one
You should have waited for the flashing red lights, bells & barriers to drop, I wanted to see the train🚉
Are you stupid or something? Its abandoned
Is the eletrical cabben still there for the crossint i love to see in side one
Theres not really a cabin as such. Just some boxes with electrical things inside from what I saw
Do you usually talk and describe things you see for these crossings?
What do you mean? I don't include narration in videos.

I know somebody have forgot to take good care of the railroads Crossing not all getting destroyed they need to be taking good care of
Should still be hauling freight from the Docks, instead of on the roads. Government don’t really care about the environment.

A lovely find... it's a shame one of the wigwags fell still though great vid 😁

What railway line is this?
It used to be a branch line from the main port to the Thames Oilport but it looks like it got closed off several years ago 😐
i know im late but why is it abandoned?
