Hi Emma, my husband & I are now enjoying our first cruise together with my (elderly) parents. And we are having a GREAT time! Thank you so much for informing & inspiring us. Without your channel we would not have dared to try.
Emma, I’m 58 and had never taken a cruise. Found your channel some time ago and since then have watched dozens of your videos and you convinced me to take my first cruise last month. I spent 10 days on the NCL Getaway. I had an amazing time and I’m now officially hooked on cruising, so I have you to blame for that ;) Thank you for your fantastic work, your channel is amazing, unquestionably the best cruising info channel on RUclips.
Nice! I did Alaska 2 years ago on Norwegian and am going back again in two days on the Bliss. The views are nice but I'm just going for the crab legs and seafood meals 🎉 Have fun
Hey I just saw that there was a stabbing on the encore, I hope that you're safe and sound. Sending all the good energy, prayers, etc that you are ok. 😊
Have fun! Cruised Alaska on Encore Sep 2021 (30% of guest capacity). We didn’t get Choir of Man due to technical issues (we all assumed someone had Covid). Look for the helipad to be open in Glacier Bay. Great views. Check for cookies in the Observation Lounge - they might be there with the other snacks. Puppies! Trains! Nothing beats an Alaskan cruise.
On my first cruise (Encore, '22) I met an Australian couple who had begun their vacation in the UK, sailed the first trans-Atlantic by Prima, rented a car, did the whole U.S.A. road trip to Seattle and then hopped Encore to see Alaska. Aussies know how to travel!
I just went on the Norweigan Bliss to Alaska a few weeks ago. We were originally supposed to go to Skagway but it got removed, so bummed as I was so excited about the train ride!
We took an Alaskan cruise last summer for the first time. We took Celebrity cruise line. Enjoyed it. We are from Texas so not near as far. We saw no rain.
We did Encore Alaska last July. Lots of kids. Loved the beer/sports bar....spent way too much time in there. Try not to trip over the overnight campers in the observation lounge on Glacier Bay day.
Hello from Sydney Australia. 🇦🇺 I will be in Skagway on the 12th May. I can’t wait.😸 We couldn’t dock in Skagway in 2022 due to bad weather. 🙀 Better luck this time.
Thank you! This is so timely to hear your thoughts on the Encore and Alaska! My husband and I will be embarking on the Encore on Sunday! So excited and will be our first on NCL!!
We’re sailing Alaska (Inside Passage) from Vancouver on HAL’s Koningsdam in September. Booked through you! We can’t wait, so excited! We have a week in Vancouver visiting our daughter and then the cruise in the second week. We’ve just been notified by HAL that Ketchikan will be a tender port. No idea why though.
Thanks for the comment about the weather comparison to the UK. We were thinking we will need to bring so many clothes . We fly out from Heathrow to join the Encore for Alaska mid May so thanks for putting our minds at rest! Enjoy your cruise x
I have just discovered your videos about Norwegian Encore from Nov. 2019. You were dreaming of the Caribbean. A detailed description which I highly recommend. 👍🙂
We were on the Encore this past fall on a cruise through the Panama Canal. My husband loves cookies too, and he found that you have to ask for them. Check with the crew in the dessert section of the buffet, they should have hidden cookies!
We'll be on Carnival Miracle in June, second cruise in Alaska and looking forward it to it! Also, my Captain Hudson arrived yesterday and he's adorable
For the longest time I thought it was “Piano cruises” but now I’m on day six of the cruise master class I’m realizing it’s “P&O”😂😅 Alaska is the dream cruise ♥️ happy for you
Hi Emma. We are doing this same cruise in August- so excited! Can you do a room tour please? I am wondering about all of the outlets available in the room and bathroom. Thank you! Love your videos:)
Have you been on NCL Joy? I have an Alaska no flying cruise in a month, on a ship with an indoor pool. Perfect. Today I decided there is no wheys and curd I am spending my vacation looking at the same trees and rain we have here. I need a barnacle free warm beach! ⛱⛱⛱😁
Cruised Alaska with Holland America a few years ago, absolutely spectacular and would love to go back. Had American biscuits and gravy for the first and only time in Skagway - sorry America, they were 🤢😂!
Biscuits and gravy is more a southern comfort dish in southeastern US - from scratch it is a fantastic concoction - not sure what was offered to you but I would have stayed away with a 23-foot pole in that area of the world 😎
Lived close to Ward Cove in Ketchikan. It's 10 to 15 minutes to downtown. It was challenging to get out of my driveway with the cruise ship buses going back and forth. When I lived in Sitka I had a cruise ship passenger ask me "What elevation are we at?" while we were standing near the dock.
I took Norwegian Star for the Seattle Skagway Seattle tour. I hope you get to see the sculpting of a breeching life-size whale in Juneau. It was designed and sculpted by one of my best friends during my Boy Scout years through college. His name is R. T. "Skip" Wallen He also did a sculpting of a bear dining of salmon in from of the state capitol in Juneau.
When we went to Skagway on RC the excursion to the sled dogs was a lot of fun yet terrifying, as the young woman who drove the van there had absolutely no driving skills whatsoever.
just a suggestion; instead of using the prefix of AD, use Collaboration/ or Sponsored. You are the 1st honest RUclipsr (for cruises) who actually does this, which of course is beautifully commendable. But your posts are not adverts. Besos.
Hey hey, the rules in the UK are very strict (more so than other countries) and sponsored or collaboration aren't acceptable, plus ad is only two letters so thats good! I agree it is confusing but I always prefer to be toooo honest, ha ha. Thanks for following along with my cruise, really appreciate it 😀❤️
I live off the coast of BC so trees, mountains, whales are outside my door. A friend went on an Alaskan cruise and said it was too much of the same. Do you think it would be worth it?
@@salliestewart4713 definitely Balcony for me. To be able to go out at any time with all the scenic vistas was worth it. Especially the sailings days and Glaciers.
Hey hey! You’ll see ‘ad’ on all content from this trip because I’m on a press trip. I have been hired to make videos for Norwegian’s RUclips channel so that means you’ll get bonus content on top of my regular videos (woohoo). It also means I have access to things I wouldn’t normally do like excursions which is very exciting and Norwegian have given the travel agents I work with bonus onboard credit that we can offer for cruises booked through my website. 🥳🥳 Thank you SO much for all your lovely comments and messages the last time I worked with Norwegian onboard Norwegian Prima. It’s because of your support on that trip that I am here doing this and it’s a real dream come true. I’ve cruised with Norwegian more than any other line (this is my 13th!) so to get the chance to share this trip is amazing. Appreciate you always! 😇🦅

Sorry for the rant, but what's up with people??? It's made very clear that questions should start with QUESTION and in the comment section you can see people starting their questions with QUESTION, but yet the majority of people asking questions don't. 11-year-old Emma would be RUclips Emma's biggest fan! They share the love of cruising. Looking forward to all the Alaska content!

I did an Antarctic cruise in Jan on celebrity. A balcony was a must have. Whales while drinking Irish coffee. Amazing
Hello Emma, I'm excited to see your Skagway video. There was a land slide which limited ship space and we docked at Icy Straight instead.🤷♂️
I have never sailed with Norwegian but we did sail to Alaska in 2018 on princess and I loved it. We are booked for Alaska next May on Luminosa.
Nice! I did Alaska 2 years ago on Norwegian and am going back again in two days on the Bliss. The views are nice but I'm just going for the crab legs and seafood meals 🎉 Have fun

Welcome to our home state! Be sure you wave to my old home, Eldred Rock Lighthouse, when you sail past..18 miles south of Haines, Alaska..

Make sure to look for white golf ball sized spots in the trees. They usually lead to a bald eagle sighting!

I'm scheduled to be on the Encore to Alaska on May 12. I just missed you!
