- Hey ho, let’s go & welcome to my new mission!
My bike and I left the Canary Islands in quite a rush and then found ourselves back on the mainland.
Irritated by the cold weather and nasty wind I started cycling towards the ‘’end of the world’’, Cape Saint Vincent. But this is just the beginning of a very long journey which will hopefully take me to Norway.

The 1st town in Portugal after crossing the Guadiana River is Vila Real de Santo Antônio. Btw in Portugal we have a saying "Abril águas mil" translate as thousand waters in April because of the rain. Nice vídeo anyway
When I was in portugal everybody was talking about this April rain thing. I love the expression!

Classical german mistranslation between "aufgeregt" and "excited". I hear my girlfriend doing this so often.

maybe I should have used "nervous". Thanks for making me aware of my mistranslations:)
@@giantcheerio it's not a big deal. It's just that it might confuse people, because "excited" is something that you use when the situation is good/happy. I had this problem very often with my girlfriend, until I understood what "aufgeregt" means. Now that I speak better German, I understand it.

I didn't, but I wouldn't wanna use a bike weapon, as I am not always cycling on roads. Going on gravel roads with a bike wagon seems quite awkward
Tnx for the nice video! Question? In what month did you cycle through Portugal? I am planning the coastal route from Spain to the Algarve. Last september I started in St Jean Pied de Port and cycled down the N2 In P. Bon route😊
I was there in April but I'd recommend going there in May or even June. But maybe I just had bad luck with the weather in 2022 ;)

The cost of the ferry from GC to Huelva 110€ just as a foot passenger is a complete RIP OFF. With car/motorcycle/motor home it is an even more eye watering cost. For locals it is very cheap.
yeah, true! its very expensive to get there by boat, but for me that was the only possibility and as I spent 4 months over there, the price was worth it.

Hi. I am portuguese and let me tell you that is really annoying to listen to a video which title says "Portugal" and then, half of it is the ferry and Spain. About the weather... What do one expect on March ??? It's really a pity, this kind of bad reviews don't help Portugal. Come cycling it in the Summer and bring money to pay your coffees.
Sorry to hear that you're disappointed by the video. Yeah half of it is not happening in portugal, and the weather in March is shit, which I wasn't expecting. Portugal is awesome and I'll definitely go back there one day and bring enough cash for coffee ☕️🤞
@@giantcheerio Hello again. I didn't want to be rude, I just felt betrayed, because, as you said now, Portugal is awsome for bike packing, if one plans it right. By the way, consider travelling a bit on the Azores archipelago, where I live, in particular, São Miguel island. I will pay you a coffee 🙂
