Hi Kim! Your videos have been so incredibly helpful. I'm a startup accessories designer & I 3D model designs myself. I was very unsure about the manufacturing side of things as I'm very new to all this, and your videos have been such a blessing & a lifesaver (especially so as they are specifically targeted towards people such as myself). I will be in contact soon. :)
I love all your videos! So educational and i love your accent. Your accent and voice makes it that much more engaging to listen to! Also from women to another I love your hair and you're beautiful! My dream is have my own collection of jewelry line in the future.
Sorry, I just found your videos and they are quite helpful. I'm a 3D modeler and wanted to take a shot at jewelry designing/3D modeling. I was wondering, that is if you don't have a video on it, on what tips you can give me to enter the jewelry arena. How do I approach a jewelry store to let them know I would like to design pieces for them? I'm studying up on the industry via RUclips so not to go in totally blind, but any advice you have or can direct me to a good article/video on getting into jewelry design via 3D modeling would be excellent. Thank you for your videos and even replying to this request.
I had a wonderful Squash Blossom passed down in my family and someone stole it straight out of my room!! I promised it to my oldest grandson and SHOULD have given it to him but didn't. I ONLY have pictures of it and I'd like it done in stainless steel instead of the Sterling Silver it was originally made in. So I'd need SEVERAL beads the I'd need the molds!!! It'd be fantastic if I could MAKE it but I'm old, shaky and frankly I'd like it done WELL!!! ANYONE WHO CAN MAKE SOMETHING LIKE I'M DESCRIBING PLEASE, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME!!!
Hi, I have just watched your video. Although it has been a couple of years old. I was wondering if you answer this question. I have my jewelry already made but need a manufacturer to make bulk. How do I do that? Thank you Jay
Hi Jay, thank you for your comment. If you have samples or masters of your designs, you can send these to your manufacturer to get a quote to produce your designs in bulk. If not, it would be best to send over a 3D CAD if you can.
Hi Jay, we work exclusively with Sterling Silver and Solid Gold. If this is something you are interested in you can contact us by email at info@thaidesignuk.com, and we would be happy to look at your designs. We do not work with Stainless Steel though.
Thank you for the valuable advice! Are you able to manufacture gold filled or gold hollow jewellery? Do u ship to countries such as Australia? Thank u!
Hi Catherine! Unfortunately, gold filled is something that we do not specialise in, as we prefer to produce designs in Solid Gold because of its higher quality. Gold filling consists in bonding a solid layer of Gold on top of other metal mechanically, which could limit what we would be able to produce using gold sheets, wires or tubes. Also, it’s in our core to value the craftmanship behind creating a jewellery piece, so most of our production still has a lot of handmade work done by our skilled staff. As for hollow pieces, depending on the designs you are wishing to produce (ie, two stamped pieces soldered together), we might be able to produce it for you. Feel free to send us an email to info@thaidesignuk.com if you wish to discuss further! 😊 Regarding shipping, we have a few customers based in Australia, so that is not an issue for us (we normally ship with FedEx, DHL or your preferred courier). Thank you!
Yes they definitely should ask for the file from the CAD designer if they have paid for that service and keep it for future use or reference. Definiely best to check with the CAD designer to make sure! Hope that helps. Kim 🙂
Most factors we (manufacturers) look out for when determining prices is the weight of the item and the other variables such as the complexity of the design, whether there is any plating or stone sourcing and setting. I recommend reseraching other designers that have similar designs to yours, work out what mark up you want to add and therefore your budget in having the jewellery outsourced. Hope that helps :-)
Thank you for the valuable information. My partner and I have designs we wanted to be developed. We would love to work with you! I will send out email.
Very valuable information to help us make informed decisions. Thanks Kim!
Hi Diana, thank you for your feedback - I am glad you found the video helpful :-)

@None Yes we do, a lot actually :-) It's very popular. Kim
Hi I was just wondering if the customers get to keep the cad file for the final jewellery design?
Yes they definitely should ask for the file from the CAD designer if they have paid for that service and keep it for future use or reference. Definiely best to check with the CAD designer to make sure! Hope that helps. Kim 🙂
What should I say if a manufacturer asks me what cost I want my jewelry to stay around? like, what’s a good cost?

Do you guys only works with silver and Gold? Is 14 gold?
We work with both metals. In the solid gold we can make anything from 9k to 24k gold. I hope that helps :-)
Kim,
