Back when I owned a P107 I searched high and low for a vid on how to install a clutch cable and none were to be found anywhere. Literally I challenge anyone to find a clutch cable replacement vid specifically for the 107 etc. I'm watching this anyway because I'm gonna have a 107 again soon enough. Great show yet again.
Hi Tim, I first saw this vid in sunny France, but could only hear it as the sun was so bright on phone screen. One thing did remind me that whenever we went abroad with a car with a clutch cable always carry a spare one as Left Hand Drive cars have shorter cables. That C1 also differs from the old one, the fuel gauge shows full !!
@@geoffoliver6788 yea usually left hookers have a shorter cable, unless it’s an hold Honda or Rover. Can’t remember which one, but there was a car or 2 that had the gearbox on the wrong side back in the day.
@@LabFan369 it’s already had one, this was filmed months ago. I didn’t have time to do it though so I paid my mate who’s got a garage to do it instead 🤣
You mentioned your clutch was heavy and might need a new clutch next - I had my clutch (c1) replaced not too long ago and the pedal is and has always been extremely heavy, both before and after the replacement, compared to other cars I've driven. Sometimes when someone else has driven it (e.g. In for a MOT) it feels noticeably lighter for the first press. Doesn't make any noise or feel weird like your cable did. Just heavy. What do you think the cause would be?
@@Lassitude1001 yea the clutch has been replaced on it since the vid too. Stiff cables can make a clutch heavy, or a bent clutch fork or sticking clutch fork or it could just be a heavy brand of clutch. The cable did make this a bit lighter, and stopped the creaking but the clutch was shagged too
@@8bitnitwit tbh it could be done without taking the dash top off, I mainly took it off to make it so that the vid actually shows how it fits rather than just my hand fumbling about in the dark 🤣
You're lucky you can find clutch cable, mine daihatsu sirion(m300) same engine, its easier to find diamonds while you're walking ,than a clutch cable for this car.😢

You mean this video might actually be a world first? It might even actually be actual useful to someone? 😮
Makes a change for my content 😂
