Need a tool for determining the name of a color stone such as Emeralds that could ve Tourmaline which could be Chromium Diopside, etc. How to tell the difference 🤔? We have XRF Scanned them and got Element Analysis. But still need them GIA forensic tested. The Gemstones are from a Meteorite strewn Field.
You should make one to tell you what type of gem it is regardless of what you put it up to rather its amethyst garnet emerald etc i get alot of unknowns in parcels
I don't see anyone making a single instrument which could identify all kinds of stone. We could have a different instrument for each gem but having a single instrument for all gems, I don't see one coming in 20 years.
@@betunhuerta8425 Well yeah there is. I haven't used it but I've heard that it didn't give accurate results. Some lab made gems were stated as naturals in that instrument. It is better to use certain equipments and completely test a stone rather than just relying on one of these instruments.
I'd hate to see the cost of this device. It really would be meant for those in the gem trade or collectors only and beyond the means of regular consumers who just want to know what the gem is and whether it is 'real'. Just let me know when a gem tester for all gems aimed at consumers is available and I'll be interested.

it costs $5,000. There are devices available for $600 that are also more accurate.

Hello, the iD100 is for diamonds only. It can distinguish natural diamonds from laboratory-grown (HPHT and CVD) diamonds and diamond simulants.
