I watched this a while back and people have to realize, slow burn movies are sometimes and most times the best.
I'm less than two minutes in and the cinematography is really good.

Just wondering if the writer has ever actually been to Wisconsin. Appleton is neither small nor rural. It has a population over 70,000 and is in a metro area of over 230,000.

Wasn't Houdini from Appleton? I lived in Green Bay when I was young and everyone liked to talk about Houdini for some reason. It was weird.

Okay-that was a slow, long movie with about 10 extra characters which didn’t need to be in the movie. I was relieved when it ended. I got the base of the story but all the extra just wasn’t developed at all. No point to most of the characters. It was about Maddy, her Father, Brother & Mitchell who is in the movie the last 5 minutes! Wow! Strange & Confusing without a reason to be.
Mitchell WAS Maddy's father... that's the biggest twist.
20 minutes into this movie & I feel like I need a Bug Board to keep all the characters straight already! This is confusing & makes zero sense!

Good movie! The song at the end sounds very Australian, for those who've seen the "wolf creek" serie.
Southern Gothic feel to this movie but filmed in northern state.
The irrational nature of this girl is very pronounced, leaving a real question mark as to her sense of justice. A disappointing film that could have been much stronger.

I agree, lot of characters in short space without much to differentiate one from the other. I’m 54 minutes in & confused. I watch movies all the time with big plots but the characters are developed a little bit. These are a collection of people that all seem very similar-too similar!
Gave up after about 10 minutes. Shooting, running away, no dialogue.
Really good movie, stick with it and all will be revealed
I'm From Appleton WI and this don't look like it I was homeless there too and know the whole region like no one else I know every street and highway and what's around the area
