  • A Murder of Innocence - A new pastor learns how important it is to provide stability, healing and hope after a double homicide shakes his community to its core.
    A Murder of Innocence (2018)
    Director: Shawn Justice
    Writers: Aimee Anderson, Shawn Justice
Stars: Rachel MacMillan, Frank Chiesurin, Erin T. Allen
    Genre: Crime
    Country: United States
    Language: English
Release Date: 7 June 2018 (USA)
    Storyline:
Based on a true story, a community is rocked by the double-homicide of a prominent couple and the local police struggle to find the killer. As a darkness settles over the town, Albert, the new resident pastor must help his church and family overcome the aftershocks by providing stability, healing and hope while his wife Aimee must come to grips with her own fear through her faith.
    Reviews:
"Based on a true story, "A Murder of Innocence" (2018) is a crime drama with an obvious faith-based element since it involves a pastor's family and their new assembly. While clueless critics write off the biblical element as "propaganda," I found the honest communions revolving around God and faith refreshing and convincing. The movie tackles the age-old conundrum of bad things happening to good people. How do survivors overcome the invasion of evil and the tragedies thereof?
The filmmaking is on the level of a quality TV movie and I enjoyed it for what it is, a real-life crime drama involving mostly disciples of Christ. I appreciated the reverent ambiance and the honesty about how churches have to deal with things like jealousies and paranoid suspicions even while sincerely subscribing to a standard of love, which includes tough love. Really, the only flaw is that the story drags; the pace could've and should've been tightened up by about 10-15 minutes.
The protagonist, by the way, has the Clark Kent vibe down to a 'T.'"

I’m not “religious” and I don’t belong to a church, but I enjoy many of these “faith-based” movies. It’s about the characters, it’s about the story line,… Obviously they’re not winning Oscars for Best Picture. But people need to open up their minds and have appreciation of folks with different beliefs than their own. What point is it to negatively judge others? How does that even help anything? ☮️

Good Movie! The Script was really good bc it showed the kind of Struggles the Pastor & Aimee, as well as their children & the rest of the Congregation went thru. It also showed the Emotions that Law Enforcement go thru when they are looking for Clues & Break-Throughs in a Case, especially in a small town like this one! It's an Amazing Story & I commend all those who experienced this Tragedy & the way they Fought "The Good Fight of Faith!"

Anyone knows not to enter a crime scene. And then to sit at the counter and have a glass of water, right next to the body? Unreal! Contaminating the evidence. And the cops would not let the pastor, wife& son back in the house to interview them . Also a cop would not drink anything over the body. The locals cops should've called in the state police on this one. They seemed not to be able to handle a crime of this magnitude. I was raised in a Assembly of God church, so I was surprised to see that this church is the same denomination.

She suffered post trauma stress. Natural, but terrible. It takes therapeutic help to overcome it, or it will seem it's gone away just to come back unexpetably in a future stressing event. It is pure instinct, basic fears to death, injuries, attacks, etc, so there is no useful rational thought, no pray, it is EMOTIONS that need to be worked out. Hi from Uruguay 🇺🇾

I don’t know if this has ben een I would be running off right away, the moment people started to accuse others and men in my house with guns? and thinking no wonder it took them so long to find a new pastor

You say that the film critics write off this Christian faith-based film as propaganda. I only hear this type of critique when it comes to the religion of Christianity. Types of films are called “genres”. If someone doesn’t like faith-based films, they have the opportunity to just not watch. Or, they could critique them by saying, for instance, “For a Christian film, it was well-made.” But, critics who call them “propaganda” are extremely hypocritical. There are films with label: “LGBTQ”. And one can easily say, “This film was made to try to sway people into accepting gay people.” Well, that wouldn’t be right either because ALL movies must be critiqued based on the merits of talent such as direction, script, or editing. That’s what critics are supposed to do, but since our Media is full-on leftist hypocritical these days, the syndicated critics behave the same way. So, since Christianity is in the crosshairs of the Leftists, ALL well-made film in that faith-based genre do not get good ratings anymore. They are hypocrites and they know who they are. They just need to be reminded they’re stepping out of their job description when saying it’s propaganda.

Children are a blessing from the Lord! Many women themselves want to have as many children as they feel led. I know a lot of wonderful, loving moms who have 5 plus children, and they also have great husbands and are good fathers! These families I'm thinking of, several have special needs children, in fact several have adopted special needs children, and these families are happy, even through struggles, I know these big families have so much joy! I don't think having a lot of kids is for everyone or every situation, but we've started judging families with more than 2, kind of wrong I think. It's like our society is seeing children as a burden more than a blessing, which is so sad. We've become such a "me, me, me" self-focused country, and children are being pushed aside in a way in many cases. I admire the big families I've come to know over the past 30 years. ❤

Any idea what overpopulation is doing to our beautiful planet? Having a lot of children comes from those days when children died young, farmers depended on extra hands. Those days are over.

You are completely misled. DEPOPULATION - all over the world - currently is the huge crisis governments are trying to deal with. It was predicted many decades ago already; alongside advancement of Feminism; with both women and men turning against their natural function; when Planned Parenthood, with contractive anti-life propaganda and legalised abortion started taking root.
