Plus, Hot Topic caters to my multi-fandom lifestyle. I start unintentionally smiling as soon as I walk into my local Hot Topic shop.

My parents are really stereotypical about bands and stuff so i am not allowed to get band shirts and it drives me insane. They always say to be yourself...but when you try they don't accept you. Honestly hot topic is the best place ever. You go there and see these people with tattoos and plus/tunnels (I refuse to say gauges) and they're all so friendly and i feel like I fit in when I go to hot topic. Everyone (in a way) fits in together. We're all there for one thing: band shirts, stretchers, bracelets etc.

They’re always super nice to me and (while it may be fake) they always seem genuinely happy to be there.
