      That being said, I enjoy being able to afford rent for a decent apartment, a car, pets and good food.
      I guess the takeaway here is that you need to work hard to be able to enjoy life, but if you dont stop to enjoy life it will pass you by.
      Relax :)

      @@6Sparx9 it is good to work so that kids can be safe and comfortable. But working a job you hate that makes you miserable because it is crushing your soul, and doing things that are harmful to life, polluting the planet just in the name of profit, when we could be working on building the ecosystems to feed us and shelter us as nature intended, that is going to lead to our children having no future at all.

    • @hopefulhearted

      @@6Sparx9 you don't need to work hard to enjoy life. It is a lie the corporations feed us. You need to work hard to afford everything they are selling you.
      A simple life full of love can bring far more joy.
      Look at the way tribal people live, they work only for a few hours a day, to go and hunt or forage or farm, or make things they need from the forest. And they look far happier than the average face in the city.
      Or another example, very rich people often do very little work, they let their money work for them, by hiring employees or buying stocks and bonds, they become rich by investing money instead of spending it, they don't work any more than others they just use the money differently.
      Or take people who work for themselves and create their own dreams and be artists or content creators in some form. If you dont give up on your dreams you can always make a living in some form from them, even if it is a humble one you will be far happier not to be another cog in the machine which is tirelessly grinding up the earth without regard for any living being residing upon it.

    The only reason we do all of that is because we've been made to think we have to. Look at people that do the opposite.. living free and/or traveling. People call them lazy and worse just because they don't go to an awful job everyday.

    • @6Sparx9
      @6Sparx9 Месяц назад +4

      Look closer. A lot of these people have old money, and those who don't spend their later years surviving on government benefits, charity or goodwill they have built up. Life isnt easier (not that you said it was), and if those people are then going on benefits paid via taxes of hardworking people, you can see why they feel justified in being frustrated and calling the freeloader lazy.
      Spend some time to study the dirty side of the hippy/yippie movement of the 60s. There was a reason business owners the nation over held a no shirt no shoes no service policy.

There will be many more moments of embarrassment and indignity, even without a chronic condition, but hey, that’s one of the things the boomers left us. And if you don’t have health insurance, you’re not making it to 70, my uninformed dude.

      @6Sparx9 I have looked into this "slab city." As a woman with a family and a farm. This looks like the perfect place to get violently raped and have my things stolen. That is not a real place to prosper and raise children. If I get hurt, do I go to a hospital? I need money and a social security card. Those are both govt mandated. I'm still not exactly seeing how I'm getting around laws, but still living a flourishing and multiplied life. Those people look like bums and hippies. I still have to pay taxes on anything I buy outside that place. And with a population of 150, I doubt there is much internal industry for supplies or basic necessities

      @6Sparx9 I do like the idea, and am even fond of the omish. But we are all still under the govts umbrella. You know they own almost all of the mineral rights in the country. Which means if you have private property, don't look into who has mineral rights, and then find gold. Well, now it's "our" gold
