Andy Perry welp somebody knows abt the unicorn. We got one around here thtdrives around town with a carseat in the back but is on the track on the weekend breaking hearts and its beautiful
May not be THE fastest but a group of fun, inexpensive, quick cars. 1. Chrysler PT Cruiser GT - This is a Dodge Neon SRT4 that's dressed up for a 50s themed party. It runs the same 2.4 liter turbocharged engine and shares many other mechanical parts with its more conservatively styled (thought not by much) counterpart. The biggest stumbling block though, may be the lack of space in the engine bay. 2. Volkswagen New Beetle turbo - Like the above PT Cruiser, the New Beetle turbo is based on the same platform as a respected pocket rocket, the Golf GTI. The standard GLS and GLX trims didn't get the 30 horsepower bump when the Golf GTI and Jetta GLI's 1.8T models did, rare Turbo S exceptions aside, but 180hp is only a software tune away. 3. Toyota Matrix & Corolla XRS - Love your Celica, but need four doors? Toyota's got your back. In the waning years of "cool Toyota", we got a pair of regular cars that adopted the 2ZZ out of the Celica GTS. The Corolla gets extra sleeper points because it looks nearly identical to a Corolla S of the same era. 4. Nissan Sentra SE-R - Not much to say about this one. It doesn't look all that different from your average Sentra, and-- Okay I'm spending way too much time on this lol. 5. Honda Accord V6
you can make a pretty cheap sleeper for example Golf GTI you without doing an engine swap and a small tune you can make 300 wheel horsepower. But if you wanna do engine swaps you can spend about $3,000 on the engine then an additional $10,000 and you could make a ton of horsepower. Really depends on what car your getting.
I had a 1986 Dodge Omni GLH (non turbo 110 hp engine). I bought/ordered it while I was stationed in Germany (through a Dodge dealer on base) and had it shipped to me. When it was delivered it had the catalytic converter removed (was in the trunk) because they were still using leaded gas in Germany. When I brought it back to the states, I think I had like 10 days to have the converter installed or face a fine. Anyways I got to take it on the autobahn. Topped out at 110 mph. 0-60 mph was 8.5 secs. Not fast by today's standards. My Ford Focus hatchback is faster. All Omni GLH's came in 5 speed manual only. 1986 was the last year they made the Omni GLH and the 1st year that the third brake light became mandatory for cars sold in the U.S.
i currently drive a 1987 dodge 600 2.2l turbo I (what i would do for the turbo III) true it was stored in my parents backyard for over a decade (looks like shit with rust on the roof) but i enjoy driving it way more than say my friends mazda protege 3. even though in a race his would kick my cars ass.

I’ve driven a lot of Mercedes, almost every car or suv made in the last 5 years can pull like no other, one that stands out to me is the gla class cars, they look a bit like the Nissan, but good looking, and they have an awd system, fully adjustable suspension, a sequential manual, and the Mercedes active ride dynamics that can change the way a car drives from the turn of a knob.
NOBED_ 86 they already make the 308 gti which is an wicked car, 270hp 1.6, limited slip diff and huge 4 pot Alcon calipers, I wouldn’t be surprised if the hybrid does happen as they already produce multiple hybrids
Can't forget the Isuzu sleepers of the 90's. Isuzu Impluse/Piazza with its 1.6T AWD, Isuzu Pa-Nero IRMSCHER (AWD 1.6T Geo Storm, yes a Geo Storm) with Recaro interior. Used to love the looks on peoples faces when they said "is that a geo".
Just a heads up, the 2017 chevy SS is a completely different car to the 2018+ Chevy SS. 2017 and before were Australian designed and manufactured and are highly tunable, the 2018+ ones are a piece of crap manufactured in Germany that no one in Australia wants to buy. Indeed GM/Holden has lost the vast majority of its sales since some dickhead in America screwed everything up and decided to import and rebadge some piece of crap as an iconic australian car. Holden used to be a beloved brand, but your pretty much going to get spat on for driving a new one now.
In a few years there will be some worked ones getting around, imagine an all wheel drive, twin turbo V6 commodore. They look a bit average but once they get cheaper the bogans will start modding them.
I would add Ford Taurus SHO, Mercury Marauder, Volvo S60R/V70R, and Buick Regal GS to the list... If you got rid of AMG badge on the Mercedes, you would have a potent sleeper....
Guys, you missed out on the greatest sleeper ever. The Mercedes R 63 AMG. A 6 seat monovolumen that has 500 hp under the hood and can humiliate any corvette. The perfect car for a soccer mom, that like to step on wannabe big boys. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds
My 2 Cents: Best Sleepers - 2006 Subi Baja + 2009 Outback XT. I'd also say the 04 Legacy GT + the 2nd Gen Forester XT, but plenty off doors have been blown off with those that it's more of a boogieman than a sleeper.
I had a Lincoln Mark VII LSC, thing had the mustang 5.0 HO engine in it. I got real saucy one day and decided to splurge on it. Put a Vortec super charger, a .373 rear end, equal length headers and trick-flow heads. Added a beefier fuel system cause it started staling out and fixed it up with a 2.5 inch flo-master exhaust. Spent maybe 5k on the upgrades cause I ripped most of it out of a buddies wrecked Mustang. Started smoking Vipers light to light after I finished tuning it. This was back in early 00's so Vipers were not super insane back then. But still, having a viper follow your Lincoln to a parking lot and saying "WTF is that thing?!" Is pretty fucking fantastic.
My sleeper is my 1994 6.5 litre turbo diesel Suburban 2500 Silverado 2wd. 8 seat belts in 3 rows of seats plus huge cargo space in the back. It sounds funny but it flat out hauls! Cruising on the highway at 60 mph then I stomp on it turbo kicks in and my head hits the headrest like a freakin rocket just ignited under my ass lol people just stare in awe as I fly past lol. It’s just the most awesome feeling lol. I’m pretty sure it’s the only one built correctly lol. Must have been made on a Tuesday lol. I’ve had it since it was new and after 200,000 miles all I’ve ever had to do was routine maintenance and replace the batteries (2) one time oh and new tires. To top it off I haven’t had a car payment in 19 years WOOHOO!!!

Yahya Sajid In the states gtis have 2.0 FSI, and TSI no 1.6 only tdis
lambo: i am very fast. Nissan Juke-r:hold my beer
Turbonium 2K took my buddy for a ride in my ser, all he kept saying was man this would be a crazy sleeper car haha
As an Aussie love the commodore inclusion. They are beasts
$100k cars arent really sleepers...
you can make a pretty cheap sleeper for example Golf GTI you without doing an engine swap and a small tune you can make 300 wheel horsepower. But if you wanna do engine swaps you can spend about $3,000 on the engine then an additional $10,000 and you could make a ton of horsepower. Really depends on what car your getting.
Sleeper doesn’t mean cheap, it just looks cheap and goes fast
Right?! A Geo Metro with a multi million dollar nuclear power plant isn't a sleeper!!
Sleepers aren't supposed to be cheap idiots. They are supposed to look normal but pack a serious punch when needed.
I actually really like how the GLH looks
The front of the GLH looks like a talbot horizon, the back looks like it Lancia delta
1986 was the last year they made the Omni GLH and the 1st year that the third brake light became mandatory for cars sold in the U.S.
i currently drive a 1987 dodge 600 2.2l turbo I (what i would do for the turbo III)
true it was stored in my parents backyard for over a decade (looks like shit with rust on the roof) but i enjoy driving it way more than say my friends mazda protege 3. even though in a race his would kick my cars ass.
I love that you included the Audi RS2... I can't afford one, but I do have several 5 cylinders and I would surely settled for an Audi 90 Avant.
My uncle had a cyclone. They're nuts. Not a fan of trucks, but the cyclone... It's different, and I actually like it haha
What about the 2006-2007 Volvo V70 R
LunaticAsian add the S60R, 850R, and heck, any of the t5 whiteblocks are dangerously fast in the right hands
KenzieM Basically people don't suspect these volvos
LunaticAsian ultimate sleeper
Porsche is not Porshhh . it has a fucking E at the end.
Its like saying Lambo and not L A M B O R G H I N I
but i agree
Yes but Chevy is shorter than Chevrolet...and it sounds good. But Porshh is just pronunced wrong. Thats all I wanted to say. And cmon...its just a E. You can say it with no problem
ruclips.net/video/fik4zbSTmW0/видео.html like he said at 0:37...its not that hard
Ice Bear Well the Porsches country of origin is Deutschland but we call it Germany. But nobodies getting butthurt over that one. Differnent countries can say things differently.
Jason Roth but you usually say it how the country of its origin says it tight? For example...bmw. Some people cant pronunce ot like europeans do. So they say it letter by letter. But Porsche? Cmon...its not a international thing lime grrmany/ deutchland
instant sub. no chit chat. gets to the point and give the facts we want. thanky you Mr. Donut
Daily videos....god yes

What
I’ve driven a lot of Mercedes, almost every car or suv made in the last 5 years can pull like no other, one that stands out to me is the gla class cars, they look a bit like the Nissan, but good looking, and they have an awd system, fully adjustable suspension, a sequential manual, and the Mercedes active ride dynamics that can change the way a car drives from the turn of a knob.
6:18 f1 cars also have a 1.6L engine with around 700 to 800 hp
But what if a sleeper isn't as fast as a sleeper?
Brodie Bennett wtf do you even mean by that?
Then it is awake👍
Then it’s a shitbox
its just a napper then
Then you need to look into some sleepers so it will be fast.
This is the first time I'm excited for a Peugeot
What about 206 2.0 180hp? Also, It's cheap as heck, and easy to turbocharge
NOBED_ 86 not happening
205 gti 1.9... 106 gti, 205 turbo 16, 308 gti and etc
NOBED_ 86 they already make the 308 gti which is an wicked car, 270hp 1.6, limited slip diff and huge 4 pot Alcon calipers, I wouldn’t be surprised if the hybrid does happen as they already produce multiple hybrids
Then you should look for the 205 Turbo 16.
Finally someone recognises that the vf us Australian Holden not bloody Chevy
It's still a Chevy and a Pontiac.... Its a GM America engine thus it is a Chevrolet SS or a Pontiac G8.
Bitch stop corrupting are beautiful cars
@youtubecrazy6438 the rest of the car is not
Can't forget the Isuzu sleepers of the 90's. Isuzu Impluse/Piazza with its 1.6T AWD, Isuzu Pa-Nero IRMSCHER (AWD 1.6T Geo Storm, yes a Geo Storm) with Recaro interior. Used to love the looks on peoples faces when they said "is that a geo".
Bring this series back! Tony was awesome.
How are you gonna have a sleeper list and not include the Taurus SHO?
Max And the Grand National/GNX, Ford Lightning, Mercury Marauder...etc.
xen0blade That GNX is fucking hard to find and expensive.
That might be true, but it's still easier to find and cheaper than the Juke R.
Because everyone knows about it
The SHO is pretty unknown to many car enthusiasts, and wouldn't you say the TrackHawk is more known then the SHO? If so, why is it on this list?
2:33 You can see Nolan in the background.
Doesnt look like nolan
Dude... your beard. Press f to pay respect
97 Bambo F
Also in the thumbnail he still has the beard. Clickbait!!

GG
1:24 i feel like jumping off my balcony
2:15 I love how this guy tries to impress his mother-in-law. That's commitment.
FYI there is no more Chevy SS after 2017. Just sold as the holden commodore internationally. And yes way worse than 17 and before.
In a few years there will be some worked ones getting around, imagine an all wheel drive, twin turbo V6 commodore.
They look a bit average but once they get cheaper the bogans will start modding them.
You could buy any AMG estate, de badge it, put some ecu tune and exhaust, maybe a bigger turbo in and boom, perfect sleeper
I really like that Audi rs2
@Breezy Mods Most RS2s are in fact LHD. Why would a Audi+Porsche coop result in a RHD car. Both companys are german.
I would add Ford Taurus SHO, Mercury Marauder, Volvo S60R/V70R, and Buick Regal GS to the list... If you got rid of AMG badge on the Mercedes, you would have a potent sleeper....
As an aussie, love that a holden commodore made the list. But no aussie would consider a commodore ss a sleeper. Its a straight up luxury muscle car
I’d say 1987 gnx and panther body mercury marauder
drummachine77 I wouldn't call the GNX a sleeper. By 87 everyone knew the Grand National was a beast.
0:58 *names 2nd car*
"...and unlike the first 2 cars..."
WTF do you mean, you've only named 1 car before this one...?! 🤷♂️
Joeri U chill down its just a tiny mistake
HOW IS AN AMG CAR CALLED A SLEEPER?!
Simple, that AMG looks like your grandpa's car that uses every sunday to church.
hector sepulveda hahahahahah
Because mercedes is a medium car
hey thanks for getting right to the point of the video with no long intro
Not sure if this fits into the same description as "sleeper car," but a debadged Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk would be my dream sleeper.
Legacy (liberty) gt spec b tuned by sti my type of sleeper
My son has one. Nice car, needs a stick
Maybe you guys should do a video on the top cars that be easily made into sleepers on modest budget....90grand for a trackhawk!
E39 540i
Great Games 2004 I wish bmw gave their car names instead of numbers..
like...the E39 Benz Killer?
1CoLoRz2 their German...
JKU lab Yeah it could be "e39 540i s850 killer"
Great Games 2004 They're*
Guys, you missed out on the greatest sleeper ever. The Mercedes R 63 AMG. A 6 seat monovolumen that has 500 hp under the hood and can humiliate any corvette. The perfect car for a soccer mom, that like to step on wannabe big boys.
0-60 in 4.5 seconds
The way you said Peugeot was so funny
please use metric system as well (just the data in the video, beside the imperial, maybe).
Orange Zone no
TRDadam this content is provided for all ppl i mean i know KMH and MPH but still man it ain`t fair
Maybe I'm a bit biased, but no Forester XT or Forester STI?
bugattti1 most people know their quite quick, well at least they do here in newzealand, maybe different in usa
I have a T/tb from 1997 (250hp standard). One of these should have made the list, they really are awesome sleepers!
And no Legacy GT
American: (reads) Peugeot
American: (pronounces) poo show
What is wrong with you yanks
lol 😂
Peugeot
Perjow
true it's pronounced purjo
My 2 Cents: Best Sleepers - 2006 Subi Baja + 2009 Outback XT.
I'd also say the 04 Legacy GT + the 2nd Gen Forester XT, but plenty off doors have been blown off with those that it's more of a boogieman than a sleeper.
“Do you like guacamole?”
*jumps on bunk bed and breaks it*
Lost it. That’s hilarious. I would love to know where that’s from please.
Step Brothers
why not legacy gt on the list? basicly a wrx hidden in a legacy chassis
Is it really a sleeper car if everyone knows about it? 🤔🤔🤔
As long as it looks slow and that lambo owner thinks he will whip your ass
people are really pushing the line with what they call sleepers these days
They need to make a compass trackhawk lmao
Nay Cee stupidest fucking idea I've seen today. They should definitely do it
I had a Lincoln Mark VII LSC, thing had the mustang 5.0 HO engine in it.
U are my fav reviewer in donut media. Compare to three other reviewer. Straight forward and no nonsense animation
BRING BACK THIS SHOW!!!!!
What about the Lancia Thema 8.32?
jeep should make a sports car.
Pixel was the Cherokee SRT not good enough ?
it's still an SUV, I mean.
i mean it'd be nice if they made one that was a fully fledged sports car.
Im sorry bu Jeep only good at making SUVs and off roaders , its too late for them to produce a sports car
Jeepster from the 60s...revive and hellcat it
watch the video
Anyone notice Nolan just chilling in the background? (I think that's Nolan.)

Is Nissan Juke ugly?
No it not
Nissan ain`t got taste for anything the GT-R is way to overrated and it looks like a vaccum cleaner and The Juke well...shit it`s GT-Rs little uglier brother... -__-
Mat Yaqin yes it is
Matt Yaqin seeing a Nissan Juke on the road is like somebody suddenly and violently vomiting on you, yes it is ugly
Yeah its pretty ugly. Shouldn't even matter with that performance. But yeah the thing looks like shit.
is the lotus called carlton or omega??
FeelsBadMan yes but Omega is far less powerful
but in the video he said the carlton has 377 hp checked the registration on the car at 0:20 drifting and it is registered as 382 hp ( the sites in sweden dont show if its modified or not)
Carlton in the UK only Omega everywhere else in Europe.
My dad had an Opel Omega when we lived in Germany in the late eighties.
Looked about identical and had a 4cyl w/ 5spd I believe.
Andreas Brekke In Australia we made a sedan with similar looks (quite different structally) call the Holden Commodore "Omega", the thing is we also made a 308 v8 "SS" and and RB30ET as the "Calais Turbo"
I might be wrong but afaik the Juke R, put very simply, is a chopped GTR chassis with the body of a Juke stuck on top.
Not even 20 seconds in and he’s already talkin about the meaty shit, I like it :)
Is 350? 330i n54 n55?
Mazda Speed 3 or 6?
Hell yeah a speed3 or 6 great bang for the buck with some nice aftermarket support to make a little rocket out of it !!
Im going with 6 since you really never see them out on the road.
Yeah, I prefer the 3 hatch, but the 6s AWD is to beast to be left off this list.
i love my speed3 for the hatch plus its 300kg lighter than the speed6 , my dad owns a speed6 and he beat me off the line every time , but on a roll the speed3 is faster . freakin love them both
Livin 2 Race you... I like you
