-It- *The day* was saturated with the bizarre occurrences -day.- A parade of freaks marched on a _forgotten street_ -gone clean out of most burger's mind pathway.- One centenarian leady, dressed as a gipsy fortuneteller, shuffled down the street in the early morning. Then, an hour -late- *later,* some children -worn- *dressed* in capes and spinning the sceptres skipped in the same direction. A bit later, an elegant couple appeared strolling with monkeys on the leads, which were tripping behind. A minute later from the corner waddled a bulky -like an elephant- *elephantlike* man, who was pulling a wagon with a lion inside. The beast -were- *was* swaggering from side to side in the cage. All *the* bystanders who happened to be nearby tiptoed away after its mighty roar. After it, all were gobsmacked when a bearded woman minced with two staggering woeful clowns on each side. There were -any- *no* doubts that a roaming circus crawled -in- *through* the city.

I think it’s worth to mention "to stride". Example: When I told the other guy that that was my spot, he stood up and strode off.
