    Wow Chris, using your poly glue first to clean the surface is a genius idea it really works and saves sooo much time it's unbelievable.
    These are fantastic products I can't recommend all of them enough they are invaluable to my model making now and they never let me down. 😀👍

      Hi Chuck, thanks a lot. The truck in the video is Miniman Factory M911 heavy equipment tractor, they also have a trailer to go with it. :)

    Chris, hi and thank you for posting this as my order from you arrived this week , including this flexy CA. Would any thin styrene cement work or could IPA do ?
    Regards .
    John .uk

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  6 лет назад +1

      Hi there John, Flexy Resin is a new product for cementing resin to resin, the original Flexy you got is for cementing PE to styrene and resin - a different formula, it will work with resin very well but this new one is more specialised - 15-20% better resin to resin adhesion. IPA is weaker than stuff in styrene cements, it will take care of finger grease fine but in case of mould release agents you are better of with thin styrene cements ours or other brand. Please check out our new cement line up here:

      We will be launching a big promo this Friday. :) Check your mailbox for newsletter then. :) Cheers, Chris

    Hello I'm just about to make my first resin kit, from a company called KFS. Stumbling on your video along the way, I'm impressed with your products and have ordered some from Scale Model Shop. One question if you could answer please, why the decontamination, are the parts not washed/peeped in anyway beforehand?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  5 лет назад

      Hi Martin, the decontamination takes care of finger grease that we leave while handling the parts, there are also mould release agents residue to consider. Trust me decontamination helps a lot. :) Best regards, and happy modelling, Chris

    Hi Chris, a user of the resin CA told me it's the strongest of all your CAs and he uses it for everything now including PE. What do you think?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  5 лет назад

      Hi John, all glues in Flexy family are quite capable, what matters is that the parts are well degreased and/or sanded and well pressed together during cementing. I'd say that from the chemical standpoint Flexy Resin can have a 5-10% edge over the other types but this can be situational. During testing we found out that any glue from the family can appear stronger than another - one needs to take into account the application process, how much glue was added, how well were the parts pressed together, what were ambient conditions etc. In some cases we found out that Flexy THIN would work better than Flexy PE in others Flexy Resin was better, so It's as much the matter of technique and application as the choice of glue. Summing up Flexy Resin is the most versatile one and can be performing a bit better as your colleague has noticed, it will work with PE too as it's derived from the same Flexy family.

    Hello! Can this glue be used for resin models? And is this glue strength compared to those two-parts epoxy glue?

    • @Vmssupplies

      Yes, as seen in the video. Comparable with epoxy but much less messy and easier to use.

    What's the difference between the Resin and 3D print glue?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  Год назад +1

      Monomer type and viscosity. But due to the similarity in medium (thermoplastic resins) these 2 glues can be used interchangeably. Chris

      Yes it will work, so you can glue PE to 3D printed or plastic parts if necessary. Chris

    CA comes in a weak disappointing container with no pin that will dry up and leave you wasting the majority of the adhesive unless you use it all at 1 sitting which rarely happens... A shame the CA may e great but a shitty bottle hobbles the value.

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  3 года назад +1

      Hi Jamey, Not anymore, we upgraded the bottle to a pin in cap type last year. If you would like to replace the glue at 50% OFF please send us a message and we will accommodate you. :)
