@rackoflam Yes, that was the mall there. Tanforan Mall, right on El Camino Real. The San Bruno BART station is on the backside of that mall. It is sad it is going to be gone soon ☹️. Ironically, RUclips headquarters, is just up the road a few miles, from where you were at that mall!!
Welcome to SF! Jtown Peace Plaza is undergoing a much needed remodel. It's also the main stage for shows during the Cherry Blossom Festivals and Nihonmachi Street Fairs. While in Jtown it's still not too safe to venture out after dark so try to do all your shopping and dining before sunset. In Chinatown, next time try Hun's Won Ton House on Washington/ Grant Ave. Hope you enjoyed your stay! Sorry to hear about your lost bag. Airlines just aren't very caring these days.

The vast majority of the city is perfectly safe and no different than any other densely populated city. It's safer than NY. :)
The egg bites from Starbucks is not very good. I've tried the bacon egg bites and the eggs did not have a good taste. Nice to see you visiting the bay area. Safe travels 🧳.

I grew up in San Bruno 🙂. Tanforan Mall, which has been there 50+ years, is closing 🙁. Glad you found places in there you like.
