You are an amazing artist. You were in 2003 when I saw you live. I still sing along to "A Little More Than I Can Give" and "Breathe On Me". And I absolutely LOVE "Fallen". The treatment you got from the faith community was... I don't really have a word, but it should not have been the cancel culture crap. I remain a fan, ma'am and I always will.
Debi McKnight Thinking of when we saw her sing this. Saw her sing it again at the soiled dove in Denver Colorado what a great show she is amazing thank you for introducing me to her music. Hope you are well.
LYRICS (some of which I want to know the meaning behind)... You are just like the waves of the ocean Swift and salty, crash on my skin If I dare drift the rip of your tongue I may well float away dead. And I, I want to be near you. And I don't know if I can. My sweet love, don't leave me wanting Forever taunting me with what might have been. You are just like the spice of tobacco On my lips, the cardinal sin You're no good for me; still, I proceed - damned for the taste of you darlin'. And I, I want to be near you And I don't know if I can My sweet love, don't leave me wanting Forever taunting me with what might have been. I am just like the love you've imagined To my grave, I promise to hold If you only you let me, help me forget these Troubles that make up our road, oh But I, I want to be near you And I don't know know if can My sweet love, don't leave me wanting Forever taunting me with what might have been. Oh, my sweet love, don't leave me wanting Forever taunting me with what might have been.
We're you just a good poet and passionate, yet unconverted? Scratching my head... This has affected all of us, and it hurts, we cared and loved so much in our soul a beautiful spirit that taught us precious truths of scripture - what happened to those truths? (Not about this video, about the entire life)...
The Christian Right community were judgemental, and threw the bady out with the bathwater. Jesus loves us all, flaws and all. And believe me, we all have flaws, and all have fallen short of the glory. Read Romans chapter 2 about being judgement. Besides, God never abandons us, even in our struggles. I'm sure Jennifer Knapp is still walking with God. It's the ones who jugded her that I'm concerned with. Remember the story of the Tax Collector and the Pharisees? If you recall, God's Spirit walked with the Tax Collector. Also, Jesus said, "the Tax Collector and the Prostitutes would enter the Kingdom before them." If I were you, I'd pray for the people who persecuted Knapp, because it doesn't look good for them.

"Beauty is the power of simplicity." W. S. Mc Fadyen. Thanks for being a reflection of such rich meaning Jennifer.

Mainly I wonder what is meant by "You are just like the spice of tobacco". Spice? Interesting metaphor. I want to know more.
Jennifer you should do an album with Ed Sheeran
